Beast Driven

http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs23/f/2007/345/9/5/barbarian_by_czarnystefan.jpg
Your destruction approaches as a whirlwind. Chaos encroaches upon you. You will cower in fear from the beast, but I will let myself be driven by it! And I will be STRONG!-- Vulfgang, a Beast Driven.

Some harrowed hide from the monster that inhabits them, force it down and do their best to keep it from ever controlling them. Others seek to appease the beast with violence. A Beast Driven knows that the only way to truly survive is to make peace with the monster. To shake hands with it and let it drive them to new heights of chaos.

BECOMING A BEAST DRIVEN
Only barbarians possess the raw madness and rage within them to make peace with the beast within, and only a handful of these will ever be quite vile enough to make a deal with the monster that inhabits their body.

Weapon Proficiencies: A Beast Driven gains no new weapon or armour proficiencies.

Embrace the Beast:
A Beast Driven comes to terms with the beast that shares its body and embraces it. As long as a Beast Driven has a use of bestial rage left, instead of succumbing to the monster within, they enter a rage state and cannot end it prematurely. While in this state of rage, the Beast Driven must kill at least one creature with an intelligence of 3 or higher, and treats all creatures within range of any senses as hostile.

Harrowings: At first level, and again every two levels thereafter, the Harrowed chooses a Harrowing from the list presented below; once made, this choice cannot be altered - any given Harrowed's Harrowings are theirs for life.

Bestial Rage:
Beginning at the first level, and increasing once per odd-numbered level thereafter, the Beast Driven gains access to a more potent form of rage.
When entering a bestial rage, a Beast Driven gains +5 to Strength, +3 to Dex and +3 to constitution. They have -4 AC, and gain Damage Reduction 5/ see below. A bestial rage can only be ended prematurely if the Beast Driven kills a creature with an intelligence of 3 or higher.

What bypasses a Beast Driven's damage reduction is dependant on the element of their Tenebrous Touch ability.
Hellfire, Sun's Wrath, Screaming Hatred, Caustic Rage: Lawful
Frigid Hate, Sky's Rage, Indomitable Will, Death's Grasp: Chaotic

This replaces typical rage abilities and previous uses/day of rage stack with Bestial Rage to determine how many times per day this ability can be used.

Lesser Bestial Aura (Su): At the 3rd level, a Beast Driven taps into the rage of their beast and gains the ability to project this as an aura, that affects creatures within a 20 ft radius around them. Creatures with 4 or fewer hit dice are frightened as long as they remain within the aura. Frightened creatures that leave the range of this aura are demoralized (as the Intimidate skill). Those immune to morale effects or fear effects are immune to this ability. In addition, handle animal or wild empathy checks for the Beast Driven automatically fail.

Using Bestial Aura provokes a will save (See The Monster Within) at DC 20

Tenebrous Roar (Su): At the 5th level, a Beast Driven gains the ability to project their beast's rage out of their body once per day in the form of a thirty foot cone. This deals the same type and amount of damage as their Tenebrous Touch ability. They also gain one dice of damage to their existing Tenebrous Touch (Eg. A Beast Driven that has 2d6 damage for their Tenebrous Touch increases this to 3d6 damage).

Using Tenebrous provokes a will save (See The Monster Within) at DC 20

Bestial Aura (Su): At 6th level, the Beast Driven can project their aura further and affect stronger creatures. Creatures with less than half the character's hit dice must succeed a will save (DC: Beast Driven Level+ Intimidate Modifier+ Strength Modifier) or be frightened as long as they remain within 40 ft of the Beast Driven. Those that succeed are demoralized. Creatures with 4 or fewer hit dice are panicked while within range of the aura.

Beast of War (Su): At the 7th level, a Beast Driven changes the dice for their Tenebrous Touch and related abilities to D8.

Greater Bestial Aura (Su): At 9th level, the Beast Driven's aura reaches its full potential, and grows to a radius of 60 ft. Creatures with more than half the character's hit dice must succeed a will save (DC: Beast Driven Level+ Intimidate Modifier+ Strength Modifier) or be demoralized. Creatures with less than half the character's hit dice must succeed their will save or be panicked. Those that succeed are frightened. Creatures with 4 or fewer hit dice must succeed or be stunned. Those the succeed are panicked. Frightened or panicked creatures that leave the aura are demoralized.
This ability does not affect creatures of equal or greater hit dice.

Greater Bestial Rage: At the 10th level, a Beast Driven can channel the full force of the Beast Within. When the character enters a Bestial Rage, they can apply their tenebrous touch damage to their attack with the highest bonus each round. The gain +5 to Strength, +4 to Constitution and +3 to Dexterity. They have -4 AC, and gain Damage Reduction 5/(see below).
A greater bestial rage can only be ended prematurely if the Beast Driven kills a creature with an intelligence of 7 or higher.

What bypasses a Beast Driven's damage reduction is dependant on the element of their Tenebrous Touch ability.
Hellfire, Sun's Wrath, Screaming Hatred, Caustic Rage: Lawful
Frigid Hate, Sky's Rage, Indomitable Will, Death's Grasp: Chaotic

Man and Beast as One (Su): At the 10th level, a Beast Driven no longer distinguishes between the Beast and themselves. Their alignment shifts to Chaotic Evil, they gain a special ability based on their Tenebrous Touch ability and the Augmented Humanoid Subtype. In addition, a Beast Driven must no longer make will saves to control the Monster Within so long as they kill one creature with an intelligence of 9 or higher per week.

Hellfire: Scorch the Face
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a burst of scorching heat and sheer rage. This burst has a 15 foot radius, and does double your tenebrous touch damage, and 1d4 Charisma Damage. Creatures caught in the burst must make a reflex save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or catch fire.

Caustic Rage: Etch the Soul
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a cone of spiteful acid. This cone is 20 feet long, and does double your tenebrous touch damage, and 1d4 wisdom damage. Creatures caught in the cone must make a fortitude save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or be sickened.

Sun's Wrath: Blind the Living
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a burst of positive energy so concentrated the blinds those who observe it. This creates a 15 foot burst that does double your tenebrous touch damage and blinds all those affected. Creatures hit must make a will save or be dazed.

Screaming Hatred: Screech the Senses
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a roar so loud that it deafens those affected and stuns them. This affects creatures in a 20 foot cone and does double your tenebrous touch damage and deafens those affected. Creatures hit must make a fortitude save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or be stunned.

Frigid Hate: Freeze the Mind
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a ray of cold so potent that it affects the mind. This creates a 20 foot line, and does double your tenebrous touch damage, and 1d4 intelligence damage. Creatures hit by the line must make a will save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or be confused.

Sky's Rage: Shock the Strong
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a bolt of lightning that weakens the body. This creates a 20 foot line, and does double your tenebrous touch damage and 1d4 strength damage. Creatures hit by the line must make a reflex save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or be fatigued.

Death's Grasp: Fear the Reaper
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a powerful burst that weakens the body. This creates a 15 foot burst that does double your tenebrous touch damage and 1d4 constitution damage. Creatures affected must make a will save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or be panicked.

Indomitable Will: Smite the Hands
You can release your tenebrous touch once per day as a cone of force that can stop the body. This creates a 20 foot cone and does double your tenebrous touch damage and 1d4 dex damage. Creatures hit by the cone must make a fortitude save (DC= 10 + Beast Driven Level + Cha Mod) or be paralyzed.

The DR given by Bestial rage doesn't work. Energy damage is not normally affected by DR, and as such, goes through it anyways. Regeneration, on the other hand, is affected by energy damage, if an energy weakness is what you're going for.
