I have created a TOR guild called The Grey Order and am now seeking members. It is a roleplaying guild, so hey. I'm having some trouble with the Forums, so I'm going to post links to both the threads there that are important as well as the main page.

Grey Order main page (http://www.swtor.com/guilds/21294/grey-order)
History Page (http://www.swtor.com/guilds/21294/grey-order/public-forum/22214)
Council Member Application Page (http://www.swtor.com/guilds/21294/grey-order/public-forum/22476)

Well, I must say that I am disappointed in the lack of members interested in an RP guild.

It's more a) There isn't a strong interest in TOR on the boards yet, and b) Those I have seen are either looking at the Sith Empire, or in my case, a smuggler, which doesn't fit with your guild.

Further more, from what I've seen, a fair number of the TOR interested people are more interested in PvE than RP, sadly.

A Smuggler does indeed fit the guild. As mentioned in the backstory, the Grey Order has expanded in the wake of the war to work with non-Jedi as well. Essentially, any non-Jedi or non-Order Guards (who are most often Soldiers but can be Smugglers) are honorary members. The strategy behind this was to help tie the Jedi of the Order with the rest of the galaxy in these troubling times and to help them feel more like brethren.

Frankly, if you wanted to create a guild with a ITP backing, you really shouldn't have created the guild yet, instead letting the backstory be a composite effort by the entire community.

Just my opinion.

Also, the fact is, if the guilds turn out anything like the Steam group does, it'll be a mix of social network and find a group sort of thing.

'sides, requiring matching backstories is a bit much, IMHO. If we do create a SWTOR guild, we really ought to, in the finest tradition of adventuring, just have the loose association start with a bunch of guys meeting in a bar. Hey, it worked when Obi-wan and Luke where LFG, after all.
