Call Lightning and Call Lightning Storm allow you to call down a lightning bolt from the sky every round as a standard action, so I have a few questions about how they interact to metamagic:

1. If the spell is maximized are all of the bolts maximized?

2. If you quicken the spell does the concentration to call down a bolt become a swift action?

3. How would the bolts interact with Born of the Three Thunders?

1. Yes
2. No, but the initial casting is quickened.
3. The additional effect that requires a save would happen with only one of the bolts, either the first one, or the last one, depending on how you look at it.

Beaten to the punch but.

1. yes
2. no, but the casting will be quickened
3. The round after you cast the spell you will be dazed. Damage from each bolt will be 1/2 sonic and 1/2 electricity. On the last bolt or when the duration expires (whichever occurs first) all creatures who have been damaged by the spell have to make the relevent saves (thunder is often heard after the lightning has already struck :P).

That is a shame, otherwise the Born of the Three Thunders would have worked well with this...

Hmmm, who does it maximize each bolt but not quicken them?

Because you're Maximizing all numerical values, IE, each bolt. Quicken spell quickens the cast time of a spell.

Call Lightning is only cast once. Pulling each lightning bolt down isn't casting the spell anymore times, it's just activating the granted effect. Quicken only affects the casting, not the effect.
