Melody have heard rumours that the Knights order in Cray were searching for a black dragon, she finds herself outside their barracks, urging to find out if it's the same dragon.

Laucian was caught as he was stealing some gold coins from a merchant, he was brought to the knights barracks to be questioned there and later put in prison. (Laucian finds himself in a prison cell at the moment, stripped of all his items and goods)

Mina was so unlucky to step right into one of the archmages that normally holds up in the Mages guild of Cray, he recognized her for what she was and brought her with him, he made it clear that he meant her no harm. Mina was followed to the knights barracks where she was delivered to one of the leutnants. (She now finds herself in a room with a long table in the middle and chairs on each side of the table, there are different flag and carpet decorations on the walls, also there is 2 guards at the door)
(To rid some of the confusion about the archmage not fearing you, he comes up later in the game)

Phantom have been called to the knights barracks by the order, they said that it was highest priority that he came as swiftly as possible.
(Phantom finds himself outside the barracks, Phantom is freely to reject this offer, but seeing his allignment is Lawful Good I think it's fit to assume he atleast went and heard what it was)

Mina looks around the room curiously, the mage seemed nice, but the knights? She doubted they'd take to well to what she was, then again, they may just be to monitor her. She slips under the table and comes out the other side, looking like a typical curious child, she keeps in sight of the guards, knowing they'd get suspicious if she started hiding on them. Moving on, she inspected the decorations, walking around the room looking at everything, before sitting on the ground, cross-legged, and waits for what's to happen next, she really hoped the mage didn't tell the knights what she was.

Phantom traveled three days and nights, finally reaching his destination. Curious of the new environment, he cautiously entered the knight barracks, ensuring not to alert any guards to prevent unnecessary delay. As soon as he's inside, he looked intently the interior of the barracks before making his next move.

Approaching the nearest knight, Melody asks: "Excuse me, but could you please tell me who's in charge here? I've heard news of a black dragon, possibly the one that hunted my father."

well ma'am, I've heard no tell about a dragon in the area, but the commander's office should be in this direction, I'm on my way there now and would be more than happy to escort you there. perhaps he can give you the information you seek

I de-trance, in yet another cell. OK, standard procedure I think. I head to the door and make an Open Lock check.

Laucian(you have been stripped of all gear, so you have to improvise some tools, your lucky to find something over in the corner, but it still provides a -2, making your check a 10)
You walk over to the door and begins to lock pick it, after a few seconds a guard yells Stop! Drop those tools and go to the back of your cell!, he points at you.

Kondar & Melody you approach the commander's office, knocks on the door, Come in, after you've entered, Aaah, Kondar.. You are awaited, please have a sit, he looks over at Melody, And who would you my dear?.

Mina nothing special happens, the guards seem to ignore you.

Phantom as you enter you spot a spider falling down from the roof and making it's ground on your shoulder.
There is a desk in the middle of the room and there's a human sitting at it, writing something down.
There are several doors on each side of the room.
Armours stand in each corner and decorated carpets hang from the ceiling down the walls.

Phantom brushed off the spider lightly, ensuring that it would not die from the fall. Grumbling about the lack of cleaners there, he approached the man as casually as he could before asking, 'Excuse me, may I know where is the commander? I had an... appointment with him, if that's what you call it.' Phantom stared intently at the man, ensuring that he gained his deserved attention from him.

Mina flops onto her back, before scrunching her face an pulling the bedroll off her back and lying it down near the table and going to sleep, she hadn't slept well the night before and now was a good chance, and, luckily, she was a light sleeper, so she'd wake when someone entered the room, plus she kept an extra eye on the room, opening a violet eye on the back of her neck, mostly hidden by her hair.

armoured and equipped as he is, Kondar respectfully declines to sit; coming to a parade rest, his helmet hooked to his belt along with his hammer.

"OK, man. Don't get your sverith in a shreng." I say, sprinkling a little Draconic into my speech. I search the room, looking for loose bricks, cracks in the walls, and secret doors.

I'm currently searching for news of my father, Zendikar Arcantis, who teleported me away during a clash with an old foe, a black dragon of enormous power. I've recently heard rumors of a similar-sounding black dragon in the area, so I came here to investigate."

Phantom Down to the end of that hall.. He points at a door, still very focused on his paper.

Laucian you find absolutely nothing, but dust.

Kondar & Melody Melody, daughter of Zendikar you say?, he pauses for a moment and then continoues, We the knight order of Cray are looking for Zendikar Arcantis ourselves, The last that we heard from him was a message he sent to one of the other archmages, he said that they should prepare for the worst as he had discovered something evil, the message was cut off before he managed to tell us where to find this evil.. As he speaks he search a bunch of parchments on his desk, as he finds the right one he hands it over to you (Melody).

The parchments shows a drawing of a black dragon wyrmling, beneath it theres a text.
It reads: The knight order of Cray are currently looking for creatures like this, if you spot any of them you must go to the order and give them every detail, if your information leads to the capture of said creature, you will be handsomly rewarded.

Kondar shifts uneasily at the new information, anything capable of dealing with an archmage of Zendikar's reputation is obviously bad news.

Melody nods and puts away the parchment. "Is there anything else I should know before I depart?"

Phantom frowned and continue downward the hall. Bad cleaners and receptionist. This barrack is doomed.

Reaching the door, Phantom knocked it twice, hard enough for the occupants inside to hear it, but soft enough to not break the door in any way. 'I am Phantom Exorcimus, here under the order of sire. May I enter?'

I try to hide in my cell so that anybody looking in from outside would be unable to see me.


The PHB says that the DM makes Hide checks hidden from the player. The character always believes himself to be hidden. To make it easier for you, I have a +8 modifier to hide.

Kondar & Melody & Phantom Actually there is, since your an Arcantis, I have a proposal for you, you can freely turn it down if you like.. It knocks on the door and someone speaks I am Phantom Exorcimus, here under the order of sire. May I enter?, Please do come in. The door opens and in steps a lesser assimar, Melody, if you would like to stay just a moment you can hear what I have to say to the others, as this is my proposal. (For the sake of knowing what an lesser assimar is Melody knows, Kondar does not)

Phantom and Kondar I have called you here today, because we have a mission of highest priority.. Zendikar Arcantis has gone missing, you have to go out where his last known position were and look for any trace of him, but beware black dragons roam the lands at these times, the order suppresses this knowledge so only as few knows it as possible, so dont go around telling, Ofcourse it wont just be the 3 of you, we have a prisoner who is going to spent the rest of his life in a cell, his skills can be of good use, also there is a girl, she might not be of old age, but her skills could also prove useful for you.

'Interesting... consider me participating in this case. However, sire, why is this 'Zendikar Arcantis' person important?' said Phantom in a serious tone. He shuffled his legs to and fro, uneasy of the task he had just accepted. If there's a man important enough to send five people to procure him, it would be pretty troublesome to handle. Thinking intently about his task, he added, 'Furthermore, where would this... 'last known position' be?' Phantom looked straightly toward the commander, demanding a direct and honest answer from him. Best knew what you were getting into before risking your life on it they said.

How do we know this prisoner isn't going to just split the moment we set him free? after all, what does he owe us except a night in a dungeon?

and I have doubts of this child's ability to defend herself.

Kondar doesn't know Melody or Phantom that well, so he holds the rest of his doubts to himself for now. as it would be inappropriate to raise them in front of strangers.

"If it will help me find my father, I accept your task. However, I can't speak for the rest of the party, but as I'm just a trainee, and am unequipped to fight off the even the smallest of dragons. What do you recommend in case we encounter one?"

I keep hiding in the same spot, trying to visualize the escape route to take.

Laucian When you look out your cell, (what your limited to see from your spot), you see a stair-way that leads upwards, and you see half a table with some iron plates on it. (You figure it's the table where the guard holds his position.
You can hear something like if someone spoke from above you, but you cannot hear the words, on the other hand you can hear someone speak up the stairs.
The one sounds old, very old, and is male, (This colour) The other sounds far younger and is female. (This colour).
Do you really think that this will work?, Are you sure he just wont try to kill them off?
Dont worry Ashima, do you really doubt my strength this much?
No.. No master!, I do not doubt you, It's just.. We both know what he is..
Ashima listen, he wont be able to do anything. First of all, I will bend his mind, second of all, there will be a knight to keep an eye on him and this knight will be able to speak with me directly, so if anything happens I can act immediately.
For a while you can't hear anything, but then you hear footstep, they are coming down the stairs, an old man, wearing a long blue robe with stars on it, he got a white beard that reaches down to his waist, and he got no hair or what so ever on his head, and a female she is stunningly beautiful,(Will save), she has this long dark hair, it almost shines in an unnatural way, she wears a robe which is white with silver markings on it.

Kondar & Melody & Phantom The commander turns his attention to Phantom, Zendikar Arcantis is one of the upper Archmages, having him missing troubles not just us, but the whole empire, it troubles even more that we dont know who or what is behind it, except for the increased numbers of dragons.
His last knows position was far to the north in the mountains, you will be teleported to a camp we hold nearby, from there you shall find your own way to the mountain and move upwards searching everything you can find for clues.
He turns to Kondar, The prisoner will have his mind altered by an archmage, and furthermore he will be bound to you by magic so that he cannot flee without you knowing where he is.
If you doubt the child, defend her, this is my order.
And atlast he turns his attention to Melody, Kondar will be equipped with a way of communicating with us, if you are to encounter a dragon that you cannot slay yourselves, flee and report back to us where the dragon is and the size of it.

Thinking intently about the information that was just given, Phantom came into the conclusion that this was indeed a worthy task to be taken. 'I am prepared to meet the rest of the party, sire. Where will we be meeting them?' Phantom glanced toward the other two to gain their approval to proceed onward with their quest. After all, they were still strangers to him and it would be awkward making decisions without their consent. He shuffled slightly back and forth; uneasy with the situation that he was currently in. It felt as if he made the wrong decision by being the first to give his consent to the task; that the world was pressuring him for it. Or was it purely him being pessimistic and the lack of confidence within him?

I stay in my hiding spot, getting ready to run. Don't I get a say in whether or not my mind gets controlled?

I have a feeling the child might require more scrutiny than the thief, let us collect her first.

Kondar does a half bow to the C.O. and then turns and leaves the room, heading towards the big meeting room.

Phantom bowed at the commander as a sign of respect and farewell, and went ahead of the human female and followed the knight, which he presumed to be Kondar. Although they seems to be quite some distance away from their destination, Phantom could hear clearly voices singing a duet of a peculiar song; unlike any he had heard so far. As far as he can discern, one of the singers having the most angelic and innocent voice he had ever heard, while the other sounded more like he's trying to tear down the whole building instead.

He smirked at the the idea of the two of them being in the same band; disaster was imminent. Keeping the thought to himself, he followed Kondar closely so as to not get lost in the moderately sized barrack, all the while hoping that the human female would follow them soon.

Kondar & Melody & Phantom You find your way to the big meeting room, a guard opens the door as soon as you come close to it.

Mina 2 males and 1 female enters the room.

Laucian He's in the cell, just go in there and look he throws the keys to the archmage, who catches them.

Mina stops singing and tilts her head back, at a fairly unnatural angle as it is. She smiles almost instantly and pokes at the armored man. "Why're you wearing metal?" she asks, head tilted.

When the door opens, I bolt for it, slaming it shut behind me when I exit.

'When the commander said it was a girl...' Phantom went on to gaze at the peculiar girl, who he assume was the singer just now, with both an intrigued and slightly surprised look before continuing, 'I didn't expect her to be THIS young. Say, girl, how old are you this year?'

Despite the uncalled surprise, Phantom believed that the commander was wise enough to not pit them with some incapable ally... or so he hoped.

Pulled from her poking by the other male in the group she looked at him with a slight tilt to her head, "Hm," she hums, looking up slightly, doing a mental count, "twelve, since last month I think," she replies uncertainly, twirling part of her ponytai.

Remember, she's albino with violet eyes, it'd be a rather unusual appearance for a normal human.

Despite slightly startled by the fact she was an albino, even more by her violet eyes which was in contrast to the usual crimson eyes of an albino, he kept the fact to himself. Life as a cleric believing in deities had mentally prepared him for any oddities that might occur; what could be much peculiar than deities granting power to their followers like it was no one's concern?

Not wanting to instill fear in the young girl, he smiled kindly at her; the thought of whose idea it was to willingly put such a young girl's life in danger lingering in his mind. Unwilling to inquire further into her lineage nor her past, Phantom asked casually while professionally hiding even the slightest hint of surprise within him, 'What type of self-defense are you excel in? Swordsmanship, Archery, maybe... Wizardry? Or might you be a fellow follower of deities?'

"Anyone know why the mage brought me here?" she asks after a moment, that tilt to her head seemed to come up whenever she asked a question, though she seemed a little nervous with this question, anyone looking to closely may see the 'belt' at her waist trembled slightly.

'To be precise, we are finding Zendikar Arcantis; supposedly an important archmage. Further details would be given once our fifth member joined us.' Phantom glanced toward the human female, ensuring that she had nothing to add before continuing with a slight sense of urgency, 'Formal introduction could wait till he arrived as well. Now, if you would lead us to the prison...' Phantom nodded toward Kondar, hinting that the request was for him.

Facing the girl, he said casually as if it's of no importance nor worry, 'And yes, girl, if you are curious, our fifth member is a thief; hopefully they had safety precaution on how we handle him.' Phantom shook his head; disbelieve of the fact that they sent a thief on such an important mission. Hopefully, he would be proven worthy of the chance.

'On a separate note, you had quite some talent in singing. Maybe you should consider being one, once this is all done.' Phantom winked at the girl, before stating, 'Let us proceed then.'

"What type of mission? I'd like to know before I sign up for anything, arfaern." I ask. I'd be glad for any opportunity to get out of this cell, but not to walk into the inviting jaws of something else.

Laucian (I take it you've accepted the deal.) the archmage leaves you, he walks up the stairs, but before he goes he tells you to stay.

Rest of the group on the stairs down to the dungeon, you meet an archmage and another mage. (All male characters make a Will save), The archmage holds Kondar away from the others and whispers something in his ear.
As you come down to the cells, an elf is standing in the first cell in-front of you, the cell is open.

'Yes, we would be that group. How far do you know about our mission?' As he finished his sentence, Phantom caught glimpse of the charming mage... too charming to pass up indeed. As he looked directly into her eyes, he can feel that she's mesmerizing him more and more, and it was in no way natural. His grasp of his surrounding blurred along with his vision. He felt as if his sanity was seeping out little by little, into the hands of the deadly mage.

Changing the subject, he said, 'Well, I guess we should conduct a proper introduction before moving on. I am Phantom Exorcimus, a cleric of Pelor and a user of healing magic.'

Nevertheless, the surrounding felt slightly familiar to him, as if he had been there or heard of it before. Recollecting his thought, he tried to remember pieces of information about this foreign land.

As far as I know, the surrounding resembles Riagorn and if it is true, it would be rather chilly on the other side of the mountain. Unless there are any assurance that you meant no harm, I would have to doubt your sincerity.' With that said, Phantom readied to unsheathed the dagger that would be perceived as an ink pen by the inexperienced, though he doubted it could fool the elderly man.

Upon hearing his proclamation, Phantom sheathe his half-drawn knife though doubts lingered in his mind. 'Ah, pardon my rudeness then, general. With how things will go from now on, it had become a habit of mine to be cautious of the unknown.' Phantom bowed slightly in respect to the general and followed Kondar's initiative to the tent while occasionally glancing at the general. He was, after all, a stranger to him much like the others and it would be for his best interest to keep alert for the worst.

'Well, situation arises and are demanding for it.' Phantom glanced at Mina before chuckled briefly; 'a bit' might be pushing too far for him. After telling his desired size, the shopkeeper fumbled along a line of clothes hanging nearby before halting at a typical morning coat slightly larger than his size. As if instinctively, he took it out and placed it on the counter, gesturing for Phantom to take it.

Appeared bewildered, he spoke warily; ensuring that he didn't offend the shopkeeper unintentionally, 'Ah, you might be mistaken, I am looking for som–'

'–some winter gear to survive the chilly wind at the back of the mountain. That's practically the only thing you all would come here for,' he said impassively, if not sarcastically and continued to attend the needs of other.

Further puzzled by his reply, Phantom continued his inquiry, only to be cut off by the shopkeeper before he managed to utter a single word. 'Try it' was the only reply that came out of him this time. Without another moment of hesitation, he donned the coat, surprised by it's lightness and even more by the warm yielded by it. Too warm for the current temperature to be exact.

With another swift movement, Phantom removed the coat, breaking a drop of sweat on his forehead in the process. 'It seems my business here is finished, I will be waiting outside.' As soon as he finished his speech, Phantom pardoned himself from both his group and of the shopkeeper before proceeding outward of the tent. The shopkeeper slightly grinned, concealed only by his dull expression. Turning to the group, he inquired, 'Who's next?'

After a while you reach the foot of the mountain, there is 1 road leading up.

Phantom greeted them as they were getting out of the tent, noticing the hints of satisfaction carved onto their faces. 'Sure am glad that you all are done with it sooner than I thought it would be,' he said with a slight sense of sarcasm before following the group in silence, entertaining his own thoughts.

As the group reached to a halt near the foot of the mountain, he stepped forward, examining the surrounding area which didn't differ much from what he had heard and read. 'With uncertain danger lurking amidst the mountain, I suppose it would be wise for our best fighter to lead the way...' His voice trailed off, though the message was conveyed successfully. While awaiting response from the others, he took a quick glance around them for any possible foe or path they might have missed earlier on.

You make your way up the mountain, it's not a very steep road, but it's hard to walk it.

The landscape around you changes to rock and rubble.

After just 3 hours of walking, you see that the mountain "splits" where the road goes through this pass, on the other side you se a valley, there is partial forest and open fields but in the middle there is a small village.

'A settlement... never thought that we would encountered such thing here. Let's hope the villagers are friendly enough...' Phantom broke off from the group and proceeded warily toward the nearest house, recalling any pieces of information that he might know about this secluded village. If he remembered any unpleasant detail regarding the area, he would halt and observed the villagers from afar before deciding what he would do next.

There are several houses and one innkeep.

'Let's hope the dragon didn't bury them or something... I will be checking the innkeep for any possible clues on what happened here. There might be someone or something left behind in this village, and the innkeep would be the best place to start with.' Phantom moved toward the building which he presumed as the innkeep and tried pushing the door gently, in an attempt to open it while being wary not to spoil any important clue.

If it couldn't be opened, he would try to knock the door in hope that any possible occupants inside could hear it. Assuming he didn't get any reply after a while, he would attempt to open the door with any makeshift pick that he could find around the area.

Disregarding which way he got the door opened, he would entered the door and halted directly after. He would then observe his surrounding before deciding any further action.

If he couldn't get the door opened either way, he would proceed to the nearest house and tried to open it.

Mina looks around, "Be right back," she says going around the Inn to find a windo then open an eye on one of her fingers then using it to look into the Inn without presenting much of a target. The other eyes manifested as well but remained closed, leaving them virtually impossible to see.

Whatever she sees, even if it's nothing, she reports back to the rest of the party after reverting back to her worldly form.

Striding back to the first floor, he noticed the presence of Melody, Laucian and particularly the golden mug. Edging nearer toward them with the purpose of gaining a better sight, he was ascertain that the mug bore slight similarity, if not fully, to the one in his possession.

Producing the golden mug he found during his search at the third floor, he placed it directly adjacent to the mug. 'These are the first step of achieving what the den mother keeps secret...,' he whispered the words in Common softly, nevertheless keeping it loud enough for the others to comprehend. Taking in the air surrounding them, he continued, 'That's the Draconic word inscribed on the mug under my possession; what about yours?' While awaiting their reply, Phantom scanned the area for similar objects which he tried to obtain during his search at the third floor.
