Yeah... I want make this guy for an upcoming campaign, level 6, maybe 8. I was thinking a little rogue, maybe scout archetype (for the Prince of Persia feel) and some fighter.

Maybe use that one feat, Dervish Dance, giving me Dex to damage...

maybe just use the shield when I need the AC more than I need the damage...?

Any ideas or thought would be appreciated. I love Pathfinder artwork.

First things first.
You put a Website Link into Image tags.
Try right-clicking the desired picture, click 'properties' and copy-paste the link there into image tags.
Also, your image is a little large, so Spoiler Tags are nice as well.
Hit the "Quote" button on my post to see what this ends up looking like.

As for your build, I don't have time to look right now, but, like you suggested, Fighter/Rogue(scout) would probably be a good start.

Scratch that.
Go Ranger (Skirmisher) (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/ranger#TOC-Skirmisher), taking either Two-Weapon, or Weapon/Shield Combat Style.

This guy doesn't strike me as much of a caster, so the lost of spells to the Skirmisher abilities is fitting.
After level 6, consider going into Horizon Walker (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/horizon-walker), Ranger 3 gets you the Feat, and 6 Skill Ranks is nothing.

So how would you go about making a sword and board ranger in pathfinder/3.5?
