The UK and a lot of other countries in Europe us dd/mm/yy rather then mm/dd/yy, so it's 14/03 for us, rather then 03/14.

3.14 = 3.14000...
π = 3.14159...
22/7 = 3.14285...

22/7 is a closer approximation of pi than 3.14, since
285-159 < 159 - 000

In Greek it's pronounced [ˈpi], in English [ˈpaɪ], is what I meant. German follows the Greek pronunciation on this one.

well, would you find it easier to describe a full circle, that is 360 degrees, as 2*pi radians or as tau radians?
is it easier to think of a quarter of a circle as being an angle of pi/2 radians or as being an angle of tau/4 radians?
Which is easier to interpret as being half of a circle, pi or tau/2?

that's really what it boils down to, I think, some people apparently do not like one circle being 2 pi radians.
