Prevent Teleportation - 7 - One 10ft Cube within Close Range per two caster levels becomes an invalid destination for Teleport spells. This area must be continuous and is treated as if it were filled entirely of stone for the shunting effect of Teleport. Duration is 1 minute/CL, but it may be made permanent for 2,500 XP.
So the question: Should this spell be allowable? In any high-magic game, teleportation raids become very prominent. Assassination? Teleport into the target's bedchambers. Recon? Teleport. Theft? Teleport. Tresspassing? Teleport. This spell could be used to protect against these in a way that's better than simply delaying the teleportation or alerting you of it. However, it does not have a very large area and the teleporters still get very close to their destination, so it's not a fool-proof defense.
So, should this be allowed, and if it should, is this a relatively balanced spell?
