So, I recently came to the realization that, due to aging, most animals would become sentient - by RAW - when they hit middle-aged. Suddenly, Old Yeller became a lot sadder.

Do Druidic animal companions leave them in middle age because they have too much int?

Well, if we're operating under strict RAW, I don't think so, since it is still by all accounts an average animal, albeit an older one.

Is there even ageing charts for Animals?

By RAW, animals don't age as the game describes the term. They grow old, but they don't age. Also, creatures of the Animal type may never have an Int higher than 2. It's part of the definition of the type. Even if they did have aging categories, their Int would not raise.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing.
