Who do you think would have lasted longer in the arena (Gannji or Enor) if one had killed the other instead of both getting arrowed? While Enor does definitely have the advantage in power, everyone expects a half-dragon to be an entertaining fighter so he would most likely get put into the arena very often against powerful opponents. Gannji on the other hand, as a rogue, could probably make good use of Ian's dodge to make the fight boring trick and survive for a while by not being put into fights at all. However, if he went up against another powerful enemy, he would get killed fairly easily. I could see it going either way.

Don't forget that Gannji was put in there because he pissed off Tarquin (and he knows it). This pretty much makes it certain that he would be put into a lot of matches wether they are boring or not (or just kill him out right), so I would have to agree with him that Enor would most likely has the better chance, if slim.

Available evidence (Cerulaeus & Vermilius, Enor & Gannji) indicates that pissing off Tarquin doesn't get you into a lot of future fights; it keeps you from getting out of the present one.

Ganjii answers this question for you in the current strip. He says that he wouldn't last two days in this arena on his own. This "hypothetical" has been considered and addressed, then, by the comic itself.

And note that Enor was also higher in the gladiator lists than Gannji was, so clearly he's considered to be the stronger fighter. Having said that, Gannji is smart--he might hit on the same plan as Haley's father did, given time, whereas Enor would never do that.

Ah, but Gannji doesn't know about Ian's strategy. If he did, he would probably last longer than Enor.

Assuming Tarquin LETS him last longer. Tarquin doesn't care much for Ian so he doesn't care if Ian rots in the cell, but Gannji insulted him personally and thus would love to see the lizard in pain; he'd love to see how long Gannji's luck and evasion lasts him and if he ever got boring he'd just take him out right there and then.

Enor is a bit of a different story, if Enor can keep fights entertaining with his wins then Tarquin won't have any excuse to kill him outright. Only way he's getting rid of enor is he pits him against the champ and enor looses... And if the champ is as badass as they say he is then ya, Enor will not make it...

But this is not a question about who would survive (answer neither) but who would last longer and that would be Enor...

Though the other question might be which might have a better chance to escape... If Enor could ever get those braces off his wings he might have a real chance of flying out. Or if joined Ian in an escape he might be able to get out by force... Gannji being a rouge also has a good shot of escaping like Ian did, but he may be easier to recapture; frankly i might have more faith in enor forcing his way through the mooks than Gannji managed to avoiding them completely... This is something of a tougher call
