Godhood is a godgame that is recruiting in the below link. Please only post here if you have been accepted .

OOC is here, if you enjoy banter. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210013)
Recruitment is Here, if you wish to join. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191398)
Wiki is here, if you want to know what the hell is going on. (http://godhood2.wikispaces.com/)

Map, to be updated:
http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/2408/godhoodmap.png

Some fun facts:

• Please say where you are building things, atleast roughly. If needed, I might number the grid on the map later. I will update the Map every once and a while.

• Each Act Changes 4 squares of land, roughly, to any terrain you wish. Within reason of course :smalltongue:.

Entrence Scene:
With a cacophony of sound, not unlike that of a great thunderclap, the Titans are gone. The palaces you are standing in crumble, and the servants, previously buzzing around with important tasks, fade away into oblivion with animal-like grunts. Massive monuments, and magnificent works of art all crumble too the ground, turning into dust upon impact. Then all is silent, and you are alone with the other gods on this planet.

Completely Alone.

As you all muse over this in different ways for a second, you feel the presence of something that the Titan's created. As you are drawn towards it with un-bearable curiousity and sadness on the lost, you all come too the same spot at about the same time. In the middle of a flat field of dirt sits a stone obelisk, beautiful but unmarked. It has simple lines running down it, and is practically humming with Titanic power too the keen senses of the gods, a signature of all the Titans mixed marking it.

As you peer at it, you see others coming out of the rolling dust clouds, most of which are new faces and personalities too you, while others are friends, or, more commonly, fierce enemies. Silence prevails for now, as most are stunned by the recent loss.

Now I beseech thee, Create!
Still not sure why I say that, Habit I suppose.

Ruin of the Titans, 4 units south of the Obelisk

Terror. Silence. The fading of all that he had known. Just because he was not immediately with Nocturne and Tleltamyx did not mean that he was entirely ready to persist alone. But there was something on the horizon...

Asupachiel appeared next to it in a flash, looking up at an obelisk. A nondescript, useless Obelisk in the middle of the desert. Why was it here? Why did it even still exist? Why was he getting the feeling that he was accidentally stepping on another god's head?

Nethaerius was stunned. He had not cared when his father disappeared, or perhaps he just did not notice. Until the all the Titans disappeared, Nethaerius continued his routine as a God of War. After the disappearance of the Titans and most of their creations, Nethaerius was utterly shocked by how empty the world was. His first truly conscious thought in centuries came out loud:

"I must create."

Nethaerius realized the error of his ways. War left the land without life, and without life, his existence was pointless. He then promised to himself to uphold peace to the best of his ability, and to spend the remainder of his "life," so to speak, creating.

After this short internal exchange, Nethaerius felt the pull of the obelisk. He vanished from the grounds of what used to be his father's palace and reappeared at the obelisk. Seeing that there was nothing truly of interest, he quickly warped to the middle of the Southeastern Continent to begin populating the new world.

The Obelisk

He looked down, and found that he was only standing on desert sand. Odd. He realized what had happened, and lacking a workshop for any amount of time would not do. He moved back to the site where he had been during the incident, and channeled his internal energy.

Ruins, 4 units south of the Obelisk

Asupachiel pushed at the ground, transforming sand into stone, stone into metal, and metal into fortress. He shaped constantly, forming his base of power as his first action in this new, desolate world.

Eventually, his creation was complete. The only thing visible aboveground was a small tomb with steps spiraling downwards into the reaches of darkness, lit only by a luminescent green mist that seemed to pervade the entire complex. Only ten feet under the very ground, the stairs opened up to the Profoundly Grand Necropolis, the City of Perfection. Of course, it was an empty city, profoundly boring with no life in it, but it would serve as his personal fortress in the times ahead. The City of Perfection, with its obsidian buildings and sickly, veridian glow, would soon be the home of many, many, perfected beings. It was only a matter of time.

1 Act: Build the City of Perfection, a massive unpopulated city that doubles as a fortress.

Nethaerius realizes that the most important thing to do is to set out a plot of land for the great civilization he plans on building. He chooses a square-ish area right in the middle of the Southeastern continent and raises the area about 10 feet, resulting in a plateau. On the very center of this plateau, Nethaerius creates a small hut made of rock and compacted dirt. The hut is cylindrical, and is about 10 feet tall and 15 feet in diameter.

He enters the hut and lies down, thinking of what to do next.

Using 1 act to raise a plateau in this (image in spoiler):http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/3792/firstactlandchange.png area of the Southeastern-most continent, and to create a 10' tall, 15' in diameter cylindrical dirt/rock hut in the center

Before

The door locked with a click.

"Dang"

The lord of Death took a few steps back, and ran at the door, smashing into it with all this weight. The door did not budge.

"You can't hide in their forever, come out and I'll let you live"

There was a brief silence. And then a voice spoke through the door, horse and shaky.

"Really?"

"I don't want to kill you. I just can't have you practising necromancy. You know thats not allowed"

"Well, okay, I didn't want to be stuck in here forever"

There was another click, the door opened with a grinding of stone.

"Excellant"

The Lord of Death thrust his sword into the necromancer, laughing.

..You said...

"I lied"

Death turned the blade in his hand, ending the pitiful creatures life. And then everything vanished....

Now

Death opened his eyes. The fortress he had spent the better part of the day fighting through was gone, leaving only a flat plateau.

"What?... Where did it go?"

Death walked to the edge of the plateau, and looked around. Yesterday he had been able to make out a dozen other structures, now they were all gone.

But that meant... The Titans have left. Death did not mourn for them. Most of them were just competition for the Council of Blood, but if they were all gone, that meant 'He' was gone.

Something would need to be done about that, and quickly, before ..... But it would take time to prepare. We may as well see how many other gods survived.

Death reached out with his mind, looking for somewhere to gather. He spotted the Obelisk, in the distance. Death leapt off the plateau, landing with a thud, and set off at a run for the Obelisk.

At the Obelisk

A huge metal colossus appears on the horizon, relentlessly marching towards the Obelisk. The shaking of the ground soon becomes a reliable sign of the gods approach.

The whole colossus starts to vibrate, emulating a deep synthetic voice.

"Our creators, the titans have vanished, taking their legacy with them. But we have not. I am not certain of their intentions, but my purpose is clear to me. I am the Guardian of Eternity and will see to it that the remaining artifact of the Titans is protected."

During his introduction, he positioned himself between the gods and the obelisk.

"I claim this land and the obelisk as the center of my domain and I shall protect it from destruction."

The steel colossus awaits the reaction of the remaining gods.

Kallen was... not lonely. He rarely ever got lonely - even when surrounded by the 'friends' crafted for him by various Titans, he never really felt different than how he felt when he was just alone.

He was, however, bored. No one to play with, nothing to read, nothing to tinker with... He'd never been this bored in his (admitedly quite short) life.

Of course, his mind overflowed with ideas for games almost as soon as he decided he was bored - and the most exciting right now seemed to be searching for some sign left behind by the Titans.

Of course, he finds the obelisk pretty quickly...

At the Obelisk
Joseph rubs a finger over a carving lovingly, stroking the stone. It is a last memorial to those who came before, and this shall be the last time he enters this place.
Take your obelisk, colossus, for all I care. I have no need of it.

North-Western Penninsula of the North-Central Continent
He turns, and walks back into the lands, his steps carrying him many miles until he reaches the North-Western penninsula of the North-Central Continent. At the edge of the penninsula, overlooking the waves, the Tyrant kneels and sculpts a tower of gears from the sand.
And it was so.
A tower split from the sand, impaling the clouds with it's wicked edged-tip. The levels rotate above the Tyrant, forming intricate mazes that he alone can navigate.

But this did not please the Tyrant.
He knelt again and sculpted people who would adapt to this enviroment.
He made them tall and strong, wits sharp, and looks pleasing to the eye. But the taint of control, the need for power, filled these beings.
He called them Humans.

Then the lord saw that his power here was limited now that the titans had fallen. So he strode into his tower, the tower, as of yet, and found a place to rest.
For now, the Tyrant reminded himself as he fell into a trance-like state.
For now.

Act 1: Create the Tower of Joseph, a massive structure made of gears to form an everchanging labyrinth.
Act 2: Create Humans, mortal imbedded with the desire to control as it exists within their master.

Nocturne

The God of shadows vanished from the Obelisk before even his brothers-in-arms noticed he was there in the first place. He needed time to...contemplate, and the Obelisk, swarming with Gods, was not the place to do so.

He strolled across the arid, cracked earth and watched the blistering, barely-blue sky as it sprawled across the lifeless plane.

The land was beautiful to Nocturne, yes, but beautiful in a primitive, uncultured sort of way. For instance--where were the souls to suffer under the blistering sun? Where was the death and thievery that "civilization" fostered? Emptiness. Certainly the other gods would begin fastening the earth in their image. There would be men to corrupt, soon enough.

Nocturne was barely more than the hint of a pale white face beneath a dark hood that flowed across the ground behind him. A pale hand flashed to the pocket of his robe and he drew a slender, long cigarette. Hanging it from cursed, worm-like lips, he lit it with a blue flame produced from his finger.

Finding the longest peninsula of the continent, he sat at the very edge and watched the lifeless ocean spit itself against the featureless coast.

He smoked his cigarette, and flicked the ashes into the ocean. Turning, there was a faint smile across his lips.

He walked towards the obelisk. Behind him, a beautiful forest sprung from the cracked desolate land. Trees rooted themselves and shot towards the sky, expanding in a grassy canopy matched by the sprawling ferns beneath.

And then...the forest started to die. Trees crept over each other. Vines, were their weapons, crawling and beating each other. That struggled for the sunlight, and soon a thousand mushrooms dominated the canopy, and narrow rivers and murky bogs. The forest became a jungle--a place of death.

Two Acts: Create the Fetid Swampland of Mirh, a sprawling jungle over ~8 squares. (I tried my best to manage half-squares) in the southwestern corner of the map.

Rhin
Rhin stares at the Obelisk, thoughts tossing and turning like a maelstrom. The prevailing emotion, however, is that of joy. There is some sadness mixed in, but Rhin had never felt much connection to the Titans, even those who created him.

With a burst of muted laughter, Rhin takes flight, quickly reaching his favourite spot in this world. But it was gone. Clearly the forest was a Titanic creation, as it appeared to have gone with them. "So be it. I will remake it. I will make it better. "

Rhin walked through the land, as the forest began to take form around him. It was an incredible sight, to see trees grow from saplings in a matter of seconds. The foliage became more varied, and thickened, as bushes, flowers, and massive trees sprang up, and grew. The trees became thicker and thicker, and soon the light of the sun was all but blocked by a massive canopy of leaves.

Next came animals. Birds, and small mammals. Rhin even saw fit to create some kind of lizard creature, about dog sized. It skittered off into the darkness when it spotted him, though. Satisfied by his work, Rhin began to walk through the Forest, enjoying the sounds where once there had been silence.

1 Act: Create a massive Forest.

Orlin's Study
Orlin simply looked up from his books when the Titan's disappeared. A sigh escaped him. I should have expected something like this. he thought to himself as he quietly packed his things and began moving toward the Obelisk.

The Obelisk
Orlin stood, staring at it for a minute. When the Guardian of Eternity finished its speech, he quietly turned toward it. "You wouldn't mind if I set up research labs over here, do you? I think it best that someone studies the thing to get a sense of what's going on?"

Ba'zheest

At the Obelisk

After pondering about Orlin's request, Ba'zheest responded.

"You may study the Obelisk. It is in everyones interest to understand the Titan's legacy. But I have two conditions.

First: Under no condition will you diminish the Titanic Artifact. It is to remain in the exact state in which it was found.
Second: While in my realm, your creations will be supervised by me. I will not tolerate inferior existence spoiling what remains of our ancestors.

You may accept or decline."

The God of Steel went forth to do creation. He crossed his arms and the deeply glowing eye vanished from his face. After a time of concentration, the light of his sight returned and he spread his arms. The area around the Obelisk started to quake and a maze of steel arose from underneath, surrounding the Obelisk.

For a short time, the Obelisk vanished within the labyrinth, but just mere seconds afterwards, it was raised above the maze, high enough to be seen from far away.

But this sight was not meant for eternity. The steelcomplex started to encase the Obelisk in a tower-like structure, its outer wall also covered in endless mazes.
On top of this tower a throne of steel sat lonely, his surface covered in endless mazes, no way leading out, no route returning to its origin.

It was there that the steel colossus took place and watched over the creations to come, his eye ever watching.

"Those who have not visited the Obelisk already, may do so. The Eternal Maze of Steel will guide you to it once and safely out of my realm thereafter. A warning to those who try again, without my consent: The Streets of Steel are endless, and you enter the Eternity of my realm at your own peril."

Ba'zheests spends his two divine acts (and, if the DM thinks it's appropriate, forfeits more actions on the next turn(s)) to create the Eternal Maze of Steel around the Obelisks. He also creates the Tower of the Titans at it's center. The labyrinth is magic and can only be traversed from within (so no flying over it to get to anything that is inside it). It allows each god that has not yet discarded the obelisk as unimportant one (1) visit, by creating a direct route from the deitys point of entrance to the Tower. If they leave the Inner Chamber of the Obelisk, the only way available leads them straight out of the maze. Orlin may leave and enter the maze as he wishes, once he accepts Ba'zheests terms.

The area is roughly 8 squares, being a circle. I edited the map:

Nethaerius

Nethaerius finally realizes his next step, he must create subjects to assist him in the construction of his civilization.

He molds dirt and stone into a short, stocky form, tweaks it a little, then says

"Yes, this will do."

He destroys the mold and releases power into the plateau, and a few hundred flesh and bone versions if his creation emerge from the earth. He speaks to them all in the native language he imbued in their consciences

"You will be called Stuntes. You will assist me in the construction of my great civilization. You shall be peaceful and productive. Now, go forth and build your homes. I will be providing you with sustenance shortly."

The Stuntes split up into groups of around 50 and start harvesting stone with which to build their shelters.

Azanai

Azanai wasn't sure what she should have felt when the titans vanished. At first, she was surprised, shocked that so much was gone. So many interesting things, from the titans themselves to their little mortals, all vanished. There would now be nothing for her to see...

But as she pondered this, she suddenly laughed and leaped into the sky. There was nothing there! That meant the world was a blank slate, with nothing old to interfere with the new! Azanai could create everything she wanted and more! Her mind already began to buzz with new ideas, new creations, new plans! All the old was gone, leaving room for everything new to take root!!

But first, she had her own power to consolidate. She calmly breathed in, and out again. Then out... and out again... from her position over the north-central continent. As she breathed, she created wind, weather and sky. The world's air was created, and creatures began to breathe for the first time.

As she created air, however, she also created storms. Hurricanes, tornadoes, rain, sleet, snow, it was all made by her whim. As wind raged about her, she gave a cheerful laugh. Her gifts had no real impact at the moment - there was little life to be affected by the storms.

But soon the other gods and goddesses would make their domains, and she would move on to her first idea.

Act - Create a stormy atmosphere. If it's not already breathable air (which is doubtful under the circumstances, but have to be sure) she spends her second act to make it so.

The Seeker of Perfection had quickly become bored in his city. He decided to return to the Obelisk, knowing that the other gods would be pulled there by instinct.

As he flew there, he found his way blocked by a large steel maze. Odd. He spotted the other gods, speaking at a fair distance from him. [Sores - The North-eastern Continent - The Time of Leaving]

He'd never seen anything like it.

Suddenly, the grand palace of the Titan of the Sun was...imploding. It was odd. It wasn't falling apart at the strike of a god's vengeful hammer or a Titan's word, its destruction wasn't chaotic or violent. It simply collapsed, it just gave up standing tall and proud as it once was, its purpose simply vanished into thin air along with its loyal servants and masters.

It felt like it was barely even there as it crashed to the ground with a whimper. Soon, rays of light peeked through the cracks of the rubble, before Sores lifted himself out of it. By the time he could stand up straight and look around, the golden bricks and marble foundation that made the palace so glorious were fading from existence, and just seconds after he witnessed this phenomenon, they were gone. Not a single trace was left of that grand palace, not even the grooves that were dug to support it. It was as if it never existed.

Sores looked down on himself, finding that the only his garments remained. Relatively simple garments, they were, white with gold trim robes. He then looked up, and a smile swept across his face when he saw that there was something left after all. There stood a stand, upon which lay his armor and sword. He quickly stepped towards it, letting his eyes run across the silver platemail, and the golden designs that were placed on it. He smiled as they glistened and shimmered by the light and radiance that he provided. Soon, he reached for the scabbard by the stand, and pulled out the sword that was in it. From the cruciform hilt sprang an image of the sun, silver just like the rest of the blade. Seeing the image caused Sores to look around, finding the sun still in the sky.

He turned to face the sun, and kneeled. He drove the point of the sword into the now lifeless dirt, and bowed his head in a gesture of reverence. "Oh Fair Master, I bid thee farewell. May mine actions please thee, wherever thou goest."

And so he stayed, just for a while. He felt the pull of the object behind him, but for now, he stays and gives his last tribute.

Tirin

Tirin sat in the great bastion of the Titan of Law, his throne backed by the inscrutable Wall of Dictates. There stood the laws of the Titans, etched in stone to survive the passing of aeons, an unending testament to the greatness of the world's creators. Tirin had sat thus thousands of times, awaiting the call to arbitrate the disputes of the gods. But this time, something was different. The comforting presence of Tirin's progenitor had always lurked at the back of his mind, but today he felt nothing. When the rumbling had started, Tirin had shrugged it off as merely another battle between the Titans, but then the slightest crack had appeared on the Wall. Tirin stared in stunned silence as the crack expanded into a fissure, defacing the immortal words that he'd spent his life upholding. With a tortured groan, the Wall began to collapse, and Tirin barely had the presence of mind to leap from his throne before he was crushed.

The booming impact of the Wall echoed through the palace of Law, and in moments the entire edifice was crumbling. White marble drawn from the depths of the earth and intricately worked silver were as paper before the force of rending destruction, sending dagger shards of ceiling plummeting towards the floor. Every fiber of Tirin's being called for him to stay, to stand firm in the face of a dying world, but in that moment of trial Tirin's courage failed him, and he fled. Behind him, the world he's known collapsed into ruin, leaving naught but dust to blow away in the wind. Tirin's did not know how long he ran, but eventually his pace slowed, and as he gazed about the dessicated landscape he spotted the obelisk that marked the Titans' grave.

From the shimmering desert came Tirin, wrapped in the robes of his judge persona. Exchanging curt nods with the gods of Blood, he stared up at the presumptuous titan and the marker he was so set on guarding.

"It seems our progenitors have deserted us. Do any of you know what could have happened to engender this catastrophe?"

"I came into being as a rotting, useless piece of flesh and blood. What you see now is the product of my artifice, and my Compleation can be applied to anything or anyone. As the world ends, Mertell basks on her bed woven out of the finest gold, far below the obelisk, eating grapes the size of basketballs, no doubt cultivated by the work of many servants. As she sat there, she popped another into her mouth, but just as she was about too bite down, it disappeared. Confused, she sat up, realizing the entire bowl was gone. Now furious, she raised a yell too the small complex she had found and modified, calling for her servants. No response.

When she was about too call out again, she detected something wrong. Letting her spirit flow out too the surrounding stone, she found it in a matter of seconds: Her caverns were filling with mud, which in turn was solidifying. She sat very still, focusing on holding it at bay, but it just kept coming, bounding and surging towards her bedroom. She was jolted out of her spells when her bed disappeared, like the grapes, and as she looked up in anger, she spotted cracks on the ceiling. Not good. She rolled out of way as it gave way, boulders crushing the remaining furniture and almost her. She thought of yelling that stone didn't work like that, but just dove into the wall, frowning. Whatever Titan had destroyed her creation would pay, she would make sure! As she molded with the earth and shot upwards, she called out too her father.

Once. Twice. Thrice. No response.

By now, where a mortals anger would have turned too confusion, her's turned too slightly confused infuriation. She breached the surface, and almost fell back down. The world was gone, entire forests and cities just completely gone. She lept out of the stone, spinning around in all directions, as the many rings on her fingers fell to the ground, melting into dust. She spotted a gathering of gods around what seemed too be a strangely shaped titan, and skated towards them, her feet gliding through the dirt.

As she neared, she sniffled a little bit, realizing that this was the only titan in the land as she probed out with her senses. When she reached it, and realized it was not but a obelisk, fortified by some fool god, she almost burst into tears.

Recovering quickly using a heavy dose of anger, she stalked through the maze, satisfied that the walls swayed before her, finally coming to the center, where the gods seemed to be having some sort of meeting. She glanced at Nocturne as she walked, sure that he was up to something. "Maybe he caused this whole mess.." She muttered under her breath, before she silently stopped right before the Obelisk, looking it up and down. Turning too the steel giant, she spoke aloud in an entitled, yet light voice, hardly a whisper at first but quickly turning into an accusation.

"You. As you seem to be guarding this, I can only hope that you created it, all evidence too the contrary. What happened here, where are the Titans, and for the love of my sanity, WHERE ARE MY GRAPES?!" She steps back a little bit, not really expecting an answer, and shiftily glances around at the other gods, eyes locking on her three siblings. Ah, its good to have family. "Greetings, I should really visit more often. What happened too father and mother? This entire situation becomes bothersome, and I sure hope you have the answers I need." She says the last word with a smile, truly happy to see her siblings, even if they were not so too her. "Too much anger" and all that. There were reasons she was usually alone!

Orlin, The Obelisk
Orlin shrugs at the Colossus' terms. "Those are more than acceptable." Once he is able to, he wanders about, casting various magic spells and divinations, attempting to discern anything.

As Mertell finishes her speech, Orlin turns toward her and nods. "Mertell. It seems that the Titans are gone or dead. No one truly knows... it seems that we are in charge now." With that, he flicks his wrist, summoning a massive structure near the obelisk, mostly made of the same dark stone the Obelisk is, and with another, a race of blue-skinned humanoids coalesced out of the air. Orlin turned towards them. "You are my helpers. I am going to be researching this obelisk. Go forth, around the world, and find out anything and everything you can. Some of you must stay with me, to help me in my researches."

At some hidden mental command, about half of the strange, four armed humanoids began moving out of the maze, and the rest quickly scampered over to the building, and began taking strange objects out of wooden boxes.

[Sores - North-Eastern Continent]

After a while, Sores gets up and looks towards the sun with a sad smile on his face. He then turns to his platemail armor, and sticks the sword into the dirt. He then takes the armor off of the stand and straps it to himself piece by piece, until the entire set was in place. Soon, he loops the scabbard across his waist and sheaths the sword, before facing the source of the pull that he feels. He flies off towards it, arriving within moments.

[Sores - The Obelisk]

At this point, everyone might notice a ray of light creeping onto the scene. Should they turn to see the source, they'd find Sores, God of the Sun. His blond hair flows behind him as he steps towards the group, his eyes shining with inner light just as a disc of light shines behind his head. He's of good stature, and stands proud in his silver plate mail. On the plate mail are golden trim, imagery, and motifs of the sun. From beneath the faulds flow golden fabric over chainmail that reaches to the ankles, on which is emblazoned a symbol of a solar eclipse.

He takes one look at the Council of Blood and notably scowls, his eyes flaring with anger at the vile sight. He doesn't even give them a second glance before looking at the child with a mixture of pity and anger at his apparent association with them. "Foolish child." He says, making no attempt at hiding his contempt. He then turns to face the Obelisk, noticing the maze. This Obelisk...what is its purpose? He thinks.

Ba'zheest

At the Obelisk

"I did not create the Obelisk. I am simply a humble servant of our progenitors, and intend to guard their legacy",

the colossus spoke.

Carefully watching Orlin's work, the intensity of his eye dot flickered as the Godmage went forth and created. Be it distrust or malevolence? Or just simple curiosity was hard to tell. He was definitely monitoring him closely.

"Your creations are acceptable. You may continue. On another note: how do you wish to be called?"

With so many gods in place, it was difficult for the secluded god to manage communications. The multitude of the gods, as well as his missing expertise in diplomacy worried Ba'zheest. He second guessed his decision to allow Orlin free access to his innermost sanctum, now that the righteous God of the Sun was trying to access his domain through the Godmage.

Then he remembered his friendly banter with Asupachiel. The Master of Steel found him to be quite more interesting than the rest of the gods. He was already set on a path to anorganic perfection, or so it seemed. They could get along well, Ba'zheest imagined. Again his mind had drifted away.

Finally continuing his banter with the Seeker of Perfection:
"I find your momentary appearance far superior to what you described as your original conception."

And again, the dynamics of this meeting puzzled him. There was something important that he had to discuss with one of them. This way of communication was far to fast paced for the God of Eternity.

He remembered.

The God of Sun offered his help. He should negotiate his terms with that being. That is, if he were to tolerate his presence. It would've been unwise to make an enemy in front of all the gods by arbitrarily blocking access to what remained of everyones heritage.

The red eye focuses on Sores:
"You may assist the other one, if you agree to the same terms. To guarantee the protection of the Obelisk, it is only to be studied by non-intrusive methods. It is to remain unharmed. Further, your creations within my realm will be watched over by me. Do not trifle with the powers of creation, I will not tolerate the inferior. You may accept or decline."

The God of Steel pondered for a short time about the situation at hand.

A puff of wind wafts through the assembled gods, carrying with it the scent of nectar and fresh rain. The barren dust stirs beneath their feet, as if brought to life by that breath of vitality. Something pokes through the cracked earth: a sprout! It stretches upward, growing swiftly, swiftly, ever more swiftly, dividing and twining about itself, til at last it forms the shape of a goddess, clad in a dress of vines and colorful flowers.

The goddess Challalya takes a moment to smile at her assembled children. It's good to know that they're still here when almost everything else has vanished. The rest of it, the Bellflower and the Garden of the Ninth Tree and all of the other gifts the Shaper of the Firmament had bestowed on her, those she can remake if she feels the need; but children lost are gone forever, and she would have been grieved to lose all of them at once.

"Perhaps," the goddess answers her child, watching the others squabble with equal parts bafflement, amusement and exasperation. It would be much more entertaining to watch if she knew why they were fighting in the first place. Old grudges left over from the wars between the Titans, maybe—she'd never had much to do with those things. Challalya is a lover, not a fighter.

She makes no move to leave just yet, though. Some of the assembled gods, she knows already; others are strange to her. There are machine gods that smell of oil, faintly repulsive and yet fascinating simply by virtue of how alien they were. There are gods clad in shining steel, and gods clad in bloody bones, and darksome sinister gods wrapped all in shadow. There are aged gods, bent and weathered by their burdens: wisdom and duty for one, madness and spite for the other. There are gods she would have taken for mortal, if the Titans' mortals hadn't all vanished already. And her children, of course.

There are, frankly, too many gods for Challalya to deal with just now. Any one of them could occupy her for some time with conversation and probing questions; all of them at once is a surfeit, a riotous feast of tantalizing possibilities that she cannot hope to finish. Ah, well. She will remember them all for later.

"If we're done exchanging threats, can we get back to what is important? The Titans are gone, unless any of you knows different. Did any of yours confide to you about what they were planning?"

"And I would rather like to know what this," she gestures at the labyrinth, "is. There is something Titan-made beneath that shell of steel."

Eventually Death reached his destination. A great spire of white bone, rising up out of the desert. despite the sand and dust it was still a magnificent thing to behold. Death almost felt bad to deface it. But deface it he must. With a spiked gauntlet on each hand, Death thrust his hand into the hard surface, and began his climb.

After Titan knows how long Death reached the top. The sandstorms, despite their great height could not reach the top of the spire, so all was clear. Death took a moment to shake the sand out his Armour. When he was ready he walked to the center of the spire.

"Creatures of the Underworld, Awaken!"

There was silence. And then the sky began to darken. A spirit rose out of the bone, floating into the air. And another, And a third, until they surrounded him. Great evil beasts, with eyes of fire and faces of torment. The spirits rose up around him, blocking out all light. And then with one voice they spoke.

"Another Titan? or is it a god now? You are all the same. begone and let us rest in peace"

"No, we must speak"

"Why would we listen to your kind? You who we trusted? You who caged us like animals?"

"I did not do that"

"It does not matter. You did not free us. Your kind is too weak to accept us. So here we remain"

"Things have changed. The Titans are dead. I have come to set you free"

"Do you have the power to do that? The right? You know what we demand for our service. Can you pay the price?"

"I am Tleltamyx, God of Death. I accept your price. It is a sacrifice that must be made. To ensure the safety of everyone."

"You are wise. Speak the words and free us."

"Spirits of the Underworld. I release you from your prison to serve under me as the Guardians of Life and Death."

And suddenly, the sky grew light. The great spirits, foreboding in the dark, now seemed barely visible. Together they floated down to the bone spire, and stood, waiting for their god.

1 Act: Create the Griffins

Back-story:
The spirits of the underworld were found by the original Titan of Death when he was creating his afterlife. They offered him a valuable service. They would protect his domain, prevent the dead from leaving, and the living from arriving. But in return, they demanded blood. They would be allowed to devour a portion of all the dead which went to afterlife, destroying them forever.

Though the portion was very small, the Titan of Death could not accept their deal, and locked them forever in a prison. Thus the Titan of Death and his servants (including Tleltamyx), were responsible for ensuring the sanctity of death. A duty which occupied much of their time.

Appearance:
The spirits of the underworld have no real appearance of their own. They need a god to forge their appearance for them. Tleltamyx chose to forge them into creatures of feather and bone, the griffins.

A griffon is a great beast. The back half of a lion, and the front half of a eagle. A griffin is eight foot long, with a twenty foot wingspan. It's talons, and beak are made of bone, and along it's back are several long spikes of bone.

Nocturne
Necropolis

Nocturne's eyes fall across the looming stone walls and blank-faced statues. Edges were straight and stone, the cracked cobblestone was cold and hard. The air itself was crisp, and shadow of the coming night fell across the skeleton-city. Still...it was empty...

"It is..." the god of the night began. "It is the start of something great, at least."

Necropolis

I know it's empty for the moment, but you know just as well as I do that I am not capable of creating new life. Not without help. In order to make this a true city, with Citizens, I'd need samples of life created by other gods. Or even the bodies of fallen mortals.

Nocturne's pale lips twist into a wicked smile at this. His eyes seem to light up with the red ember of his cigarette.

"Imitations of other life... corrupted forms... shadows of beings... A mockery of the sacrosanct, a desecration of the noble... A falling darkness to the daytime. I see great things in the future... great things."

Asupachiel smiles as well.

Exactly. We are on the verge of a Brave New World, and soon this semblance of peace will inevitably devolve into either a mockery of Titanic Dictatorship, or Anarchy. When that happens, the time shall be ripe for us to stage our plans. For now, we need to fortify, grow, and try not to start an early war. I'm going to save some divine energy here, as I have... ...plans for this place.

Mertell, The Obelisk

Mertell glares at Azanai as if she was the the single worst plague upon the world for a short moment, then lets out a small chuckle out while lightening her expression slightly, taking a step back.

"Well, aren't you a interesting specimen. Entertaining, I suppose. Anyway, I am the goddess of earth, so speak quickly, my little insane friend." She smirks a little while talking, but remembers her situation as she finishes, glancing around and seeing her mother. She smiles at her and nods, pleased, but not extremely so. It was good to see she was alive at least..

Mertell glances at Asupachiel as he leaves with a look of sadness and curiosity, equally mixed. Some certainly make this new existence worrying. "What will happen with no Titans?" She mutters under her breath, rolling her only remaining ring in her hand.

She looks up to the steel titan Ba'zheest again, standing tall, trying to match his height before speaking. "You. You are aware, that while this is worth protecting as the last remnant of the Titans, that this is a rock. A very special rock, but a rock none the less. We would sense some sort of connection if it was keeping us alive, after all." In her head alone, she is not so sure, but she keeps resolute, truly wondering why this clearly mighty god is protecting a rock. Does he know something that no one else does? She remembers that for later, and waits for a response.

Challalya

Challalya laughs, unfazed by her son's synesthesiac insight. "Well, why shouldn't it? I like it that way. It keeps me from getting bored, and a little more color is never a bad thing."

She glances around. The gathered gods are beginning to disperse, and her other children appear to be busying themselves with other matters; no need for their mother to hover over their shoulders. They can find her if they want to, or maybe she'll go visit them later, to see what they've made for themselves. "Hm. I don't think there's much left for us to do here, Kallen. Where would you like to go?"

In respone to Mertell:
"If this were a simple rock, the parting of the Titans would have taken it as well. From what we know, this 'rock' is as divine as all of us.

You saw the quick temper of the other gods. They draw their swords first, and mourne the destruction later. They are not worthy of Eternity, and I will not allow their quick temper to endanger that, which is supposed to last forever."

The Eternal Steel begins to inspect Orlin's Library, at ease, now that the tension seems to drop.

Kallen

Kallen hmms, still clinging to his mother's head, while straddling her neck and sitting on both of her shoulders. "Mmh... "YAY!"

Azanai chose that moment to tackle-glomp Mertell to the ground, sprouting a wolf's tail so that she could wag it. She kissed her 'sister' on the cheek, then looked at her laying spread eagled on the ground. "Can you help me make a hollow mountain somewhere for my mortals? They need a roost!"

"Not right now, mind." She continued. "I needs to go finish something personal of mine first!" She rocketed into the sky. "But i'll talk to you later about it!"

Teranus

Teranus spent most of his time meditating while surrounded by mirrors, it helped him focus his thoughts internally, to achieve the mental prowess needed to enforce his own will on Creation.
Sure he could simply use his Godly Powers but where was the challenge?
And so he that was what he was doing when the Leaving happened.
When he awoke he was confused, he showed no sign of it though. He simply rose and willed space to part around him. He stepped, crossing vast distances, his thoughts seeking the largest gathering of Divine Power within range.

Challalya

"Well then, hold on!" Challalya rises into the air, her form flowing outward and upward and incidentally forming a comfortable Kallen-shaped indent for him to sit in. Soon a brightly colored serpent winds its way across the sky, vast fibrous wings trailing out to either side to catch the southerly winds.

The land passes beneath them impressively swiftly, though it doesn't feel it; the wind is barely more than a pleasant breeze, rather than the howling rush that it ought to have been. Gods are allowed to cheat like that; it's one of the perks. Soon enough, they have arrived on the southern continent, and the serpent casts off its wings and dives, shrinking and coiling into a much smaller human shape—not much taller than Kallen, in fact. Height aside, it is still recognizably his mother, now with sun-bronzed skin and cat's eyes.

Taking us to the continent due south; will spend acts as soon as I have the time to write that up. Or after Yuki does, whichever comes first.

Kallen

The child god shrieks and laughs with joy as they suddenly hurtle southwards through the air! He clings to his mother-who-is-currently-a-dragon and peers down at the ocean as it rushes past. Once they touch down, the child-god hops off and to the ground, hmmming to himself.

"...Oh, oh! Idea!" He grins giddily. "You're going to like this..." He snaps his fingers almost casually.

Suddenly, all around them, the dry earth begins to sprout tiny filaments of copper, almost seeming like grass. These filaments grow higher and fuse together, forming into strangely natural shapes, despite being composed entirely of metal...

They form into trees, bushes, flowers... Soon the two gods are surrounded by what appears to be a temperate forest, except composed entirely of copper. The plants look startlingly artificial, their leaves apparently made of hundreds of tiny interlocking gears, their bark composed of interlocking plates...

And yet they're unmistakably alive. They just appear to be made entirely of copper.

The young godling giggles a bit. "Soooo...?"

Spending an act to turn the south-most peninsular of the center-south continent into a clockwork forest. Four squares large, of course. No idea what to name it yet...

Steven

After observing the other Gods and trying to learn what he could about them, Steven begins to yearn for more simple company. He will travel far away, to create some mortals and live for a while in peace to gather his wits and think of what he must do.

Steven contemplated that it may have been rude to simply have ignored Tleltamyx when he arrived at the Obelisk, and decided he should speak to him in the future to apologise.

As it is, Steven mounts his mighty steed; a glistening white stallion, patches of frost cover the ground under it's feet. Snowflakes fall from its mane as it shakes its mighty head. He then gallops away into the distance, and the deep pounding of hoofs fades away.

as he arrives at the north-western continent, Steven takes the desolate land and grows forth trees, and lush fields. A river runs through the landscape down to the sea, and to populate this land he creates Centaurs, mighty horses with the bodies and minds of men. Here at last, he can find peace in his own environment

I shall go to the southern part of the north western continent, and spend one act reshaping the landscape and the other creating the centaurs.

As griffins soared high above, Death finished his work. The last of the griffins flexed his muscles, letting out a roar from his monstrous beak.

"May I join my brethren now?"

Death put his hand on the beasts head, and another under it's chin

"No. I'm sorry."

*Crack*

As the beast bled out, death laid his hands upon it, and began to chant. The words of power struck the beast in waves of energy. Blood flowed from it's body in torrents, filling the Spire which had once been it's home. As the blood spread out, the spire grew, expanding and enlarging to become the griffins new home. A nest fully capable of housing an army of griffins.

And with the completion of the nest, the blood poured off it's sides, falling down to the sand below. The blood parted the wind, the sandstorms rolling away into nothing. As it hit the ground the sand of the desert turned to rock, gray and barren.

The blood formed six rivers, which flowed outwards towards the horizon, converting the entire landscape to rock. And from the rock sprouted more spires, reaching up into the horizon. Not nests, but great towers, fearsome in their height. Towers as far as the eye could see.

Death stopped chanting, and thus was the underworld complete.

Chaos
After standing and listening to the Gods argue between themselves Chaos laughed to himself thinking; "Looks like chaos will arise without me then".

He stared east thinking about where he would make his creations and where he would raise his servants. He took a deep breath and in a split second he burst into smoke and flew with great speed towards the eastern continent.

When he arrived at the coast he turned back into his flesh form and looked around at the deserted wilderness that surrounded him.

*Sigh*"This was once my realm now it is nothing"

He paused as he looked to the sky and began to rise of the ground with his arms spread. He then looked towards a large area that was perfectly flat and then began to speak.

"From the ground where you once walked rise again and walk on this ground once more!"

For a few moments there was silence, even the air itself froze in its place. Then a light from the sky fell with great speed and hit the ground, however instead of hitting the ground it stooped only a centimetres of the ground. It hovered there for a moment then exploded without any sound. The pieces of it begin to move in a circular motion faster and faster around a blood red ruby that was inside until the pieces begin to join together. It lasted for only a few seconds, but when they stopped all that was left was a humanoid figure that stood tall and strong.

"You are MY creation and you shall be known as Daemons. Now leave and create an empire worthy of your God!"

The creature turned and ran with great speed into the distance. Chaos simply smiled as his first creation in this new world was born.

ACT I: Create daemons, they are fast, intelligent and strong, they also have limited control of magic (Telekinesis and they use it to create more daemons, however each daemon can only create two more daemons in its lifetime. *NOTE: My dudes suck against magic*

Sores decides not to respond to the other gods' objections of his behavior. He knew what was right, and they would not cause him to stray from that fact. However, neither were they worthy of his wrath, not yet anyways.

He pulled himself into existance slowly. Working in the details was important. Mistakes aren't allowed. Bone by bone, he tirelessly worked to make his host. Rhin arrived one more at his creation, and marvelled to see the woodlands, simply appearing out of the wasteland, with little to no divider. He did notice the grass already extended past the edge of the forest now. Already it was spreading.

"Indeed. " Rhin took his sisters hand, and together, they shaped the new species.

They were tall, and fair. They were humanoid, with slanted ears and angular faces. There was a great deal of variation in them though. Some were almost ethereal, barely coporeal, others could pass for human. They were created with a natural affinity for magic, and some had the ability to fly. Individualists to a man, the first members of the new species took form before Rhin and Llira. They had created the Fey.

"We should not interfere with their development." Rhin whispered to Llira, as the Fey began to explore the woods around them, oblivious to their creators.

"No! If we influence their decisions, why bother giving them the freedom to choose?" Rhin turns towards Llira. "If we choose for them, they become nothing more than shades of ourselves, pathetic simpletons who echo our beliefs. Without it, they become something not even a Titan can predict. "

"But are we not older and wiser than them... so can make more informed decisions."
Llira leaned against a tree turning her full attention to her brother
"I agree that some degree of unpredictability would be welcome but to a degree where it is so out of control it is destructive no that I could not welcome... this world has already seen too much destruction."

The Storm Nymph's expression turned thoughtful and she looked east.
"Perhaps it was that very thing that brought the end to our forebears."

Death

A portal appeared in the air, just south of the Eternal Maze of Steel. It floated still and calm for a moment, before it was disturbed by the passage of death.

Death emerged, his armour dripping with blood. The portal closed behind him with a inrush of air. He turned around him, surveying his surroundings. He knew his comrades had built a city, but hadn't stayed long enough to find out where it was. There were no gods within sight, he would just have to search for it.

Even with his godly speed, searching on foot could take weeks. If only there was somewhere high he could look from. Death envied the griffins their wings. Death was a mage, but nothing he had studied would let him fly.

Oh well, better get walking. North, South, East or West?....West. Death started walking west.

Wait, no, thats it. Death remembered a spell he'd researched years ago. Assuming the form of a mortal creature. Useless back then, when all mortals were weak and pathetic. But now maybe it would come in handy. All he needed was a catalyst, like say, the blood of a griffin.

Death stopped, and stood still. Blood dripped off his armour, forming a puddle on the rocky ground. Death concentrated, and braced himself, drawing on the magic energy of the blood. almost immeditely he could feel the energy working in him. His legs and arms got longer. His hands turned to claws. His head got longer and his nose changed to a beak. His armour warped away to red feathers. His skin transformed to fur.

Death ran, and jumped up into the air. The Red griffin flew up, up, and into the sky.

Nethaerius

Nethaerius suddenly realized that he created his people with one fatal flaw: they needed sustenance. Without animals to eat and water to drink, they would die. He fixed this immediately, creating thriving forests with creatures he remembered from the days of the Titans. These forests all had natural lakes, which would have fresh water for the Stuntes to drink.

After he finished creating the forests, he found each of the tribes of Stuntes and told them that they would find food and water in the forests. He quickly showed them how to fashion basic spears out of wood and rock to hunt with.

1 act: Create 4 squares of forest around the plateau. These forests provide hunting grounds and fresh water for the Stuntes.

Asupachiel
Necropolis, Asupachiel's Workshop

Nocturne, you may come and see my next creation if you so wish. It should be entertaining.

Asupachiel enters his workshop, admiring his handiwork with the Nightmare Wheels and the Rotary Bludgeon. He takes a bubble of Necrogen and converts it into a simple, uninteresting Cauldron. Then, he pours divine power into it. The device begins to vomit forth that foul Green Mist in astounding volumes, and the mist quickly fills the room.

It won't do to have this in my workshop, I can't see in here!

Asupachiel lifts it with one hand, depositing it at the bottom of the Necropolis. As the mist creeps its way up the spiral Stairway, it rises onto the surrounding lands, corrupting them with its sickening touch. The dirt around the lands turns a foul black, swamps begin to appear in the low regions, and the higher regions see tangled masses of pale, white trees. The green mist covers the land like a permanent blanket of fog, and a higher Stratus of the same mist blots out the sun in the region. Ngororo, the Blasted Heath, was born.

3 ACTS: Create the Black Cauldron, an artifact that converts the surrounding 8 squares of land into Ngororo, the Blasted Heath. It has more effects, but these are quieter. I'll PM them to Sir when I get the chance.

On the once lush, but now barren, plains, at a spot in the centre of the south western continent, all that remains of the empire and creations of the great Titians Arthropo and Beiden is a single egg, containing their final offspring. Before the disappearance of the Titians, the egg had been nurtured and cared for by numerous servants of myriad forms. In its final stages of incubation, however, the egg simply sat there, unwarmed and unturned.
As the surviving gods started to rebuild the world, the being inside the egg was finally ready to emerge. A sharp, bladed arm pierced the outer gel, slicing it open quickly and allowing the god inside to crawl out. Thus entered Hexapoda, He who Copies and Obeys, into the world.
Immediately Hexapoda could feel a summons calling him north east. While eager to obey this urge, the god somehow knew that first he should mark the spot he hatched. It... felt RIGHT. And had to be done. Not entirely sure how he knew what to do, Hexapoda chewed the remains of his egg, then mixed the juice created with the earth itself. Waving his four arms around, he used his will to increase the size of the mixture and created his Hive.
Act 1 – Created a structure in the centre of the south western continent. This is the Hive, basically a big hollow mud tower (hexagonal, of course). The mud is super strong and may have other powers which are unknown yet (but nothing major). The urges satisfied, Hexapoda flew towards the source of the summons with his four wings.

((Yeah, i know i said i was gonna be gone, but... couldn't handle cutting myself off from the internet entirely. still gonna be slow, though))

Azanai

Azanai meditated at the north eastern continent's center about what to do first. So many ideas buzzed around in her head, some only existing for half a second before fading into oblivion, only to be replaced by other ideas. As she focused on her current idea, she raised her arms to the sky and let loose her power.

At her feet, and for a massive distance in all directions, a mighty rift opened in the earth. The rift swirled with energy, and wispy bits of nether* flew from the space. She kept her arms raised, expanding the etheral portal outward from it's epicenter to the size of a city.

She giggled. Oh, the portal and rift itself was rather unremarkable, buuuuuut...

She raised her palm again, and the nether within the rift warped and twisted into a living being. It was a massive, vaguely reptilian creature composed entirely of nether. It had massive wings, claws and fangs, a spiked tail and she knew that it could breathe nether - and more importantly, it could choose whether the nether it breathed was incineratingly hot or world-freezing cold.

She created many of them - male and female - and sent them off with their missions. Most now lived within the Etheral plane (no air was there, so no mortal could survive without a Nether being's aid) but a few dozen of the massive beasts stayed to guard the rift.

Azanai rubbed her hands and flew off to find her earth-sister. She would need her help for this next bit...
--------------------
1Act - Form the Etheral plane and, as a consequence, Nether.

1Act - Create the Netherwing Dragons

1Act - Forms a four-square wide rift in the center of the north east continent (will put up a marked map later) that leads to the etheral plane.

*A term that refers to a substance between tangible and intangible - essentially only half of it exists in a material form. Creatures made of it can safely pass between the etheral and material planes, and can aid others in doing so if they so choose. Creatures who aren't that try to pass between the two worlds without the assistance of a nether being die.**

**
Specifying the exact method of death is impossible, in part because it works both ways - etheral beings can't cross the rift to Materia.

It's sorta like how human bodies can die due to rapid pressure change - the switch in physics and even how matter works is so jarring that the being doesn't have time to adapt, and they die.

EX: a material being would suffocate the moment he entered, and if he didn't he would be torn apart by the the plane, since he would have a ridiculously strong gravitational pull compared to the rest of the Etheral plane but his own body would still react as if solid objects were passing through him.

Hexapoda

FASTER.
HURRY.
OBEY.
Once again, Hexapoda found himself slave to his own mind. Delaying to create the Hive, while fulfilling urges which were then too overpowering to ignore, served to reinforce the summons which had already caused him to cross an ocean. However, it was impossible for him to ignore the terrain of this new continent. Compared to the desolation of the continent of his hatching, this land had... something. The section he first encountered was mind numbing, and the summoning was almost put aside as he took in the components of what seemed to be the site of a glorious battle between order and chaos, creation and destruction and rebirth. There was, indeed, something missing, however. Hexapoda thought that he could fashion something which would add a whole new level to the situation.
FASTER.
HURRY.
OBEY.
Not yet. Soon Hexapoda passed over the swampland, and the landscape became familiar to him once again. There was still a beauty to the dry and empty plains, but compared to what he had just seen... Hexapoda resolved to include what he had experienced to his own home.
THE OBELISK
In a matter of minutes, Hexapoda arrived at the source of the summons. It was surrounded by a large, shiny structure. He landed outside, and was perplexed. Did he go in? How best to obey? Something was not quite right about the situation. If only there was someone to tell him what to do!
FASTER.
HURRY.
OBEY.

Steven

Steven stood amongst his creation. The light shone through the trees down upon the centaurs as they galloped through the paradise he had created for them. they were learning quickly, to contruct tools and shelter, and watching their simple lives gave steven a sense of peace that let him, for the first time in his existence, truly focus his thoughts.

He wanted to take his creations into the sea. Travelling to the edge of his paradise, he constructed a mighty shipyard. a lighthouse of stone rose into the sky and burned in glory. The docks spread across the coast, enough to hold a fleet of ships. The thought occured that his centaurs were too large to make them suitable ship builders. he thus created a new creature the legs of a goat, and the body of a man. these new creations he populated his new shipyards, and they set to work building boats to visit new lands.

Steven looked at what he had made and it's potential delighted him. Now he could look to the other issues troubling him. He had someone to visit...

Act 1: create the mighty shipyards over the two coastal squares to the northeast of the land already populated with trees and centaurs.

Act 2: create satyres for ship building.

Hexapoda

Briefly investigating the steel construct in front of him, Hexapoda silences the urges. As no-one approaches, he decides to quickly explore the land to see if there are any other wonders like the swamp he had just seen.

The Hive

After visiting all regions of the world, Hexapoda feels the desire to return to his hatching site. The Hive awaits him, untouched. Meditating for a while, Hexapoda considers all he has seen. There is something still... missing. Something between the near invisible battles of growth and decay in the swampland, and the much larger ones of life and death present in other locations. This needs to be fixed.

Hexapoda began a series of ritualised movements. From his body, hemolymph squeezes through pores and scatters on the winds. Eventually the movements become frenzied, reach a peak, then halt. At this point, the divine fluid has spread like a very, VERY thin mist all over the world. Suddenly, the droplets slightly increase in size, and mould into uncountable numbers of different shapes. All over the world, insects have been created.

Hexapoda is pleased. His creations are like him in aspects of their form. All follow the basic structure of six. That pleases him greatly, for some reason. All have a period of time in which they change greatly, a metamorphosis. Many mimic their surroundings to survive. Some exist only to obey. Some reproduce following highly ritualised courtships.

The majority of the new insects perish in the vastly desolate world. However, the ones that survive have a multitude of offspring, and adapt easily to new circumstances. They have an important role in the grand scheme of things, despite their small size. They provide food for many animals, and they consume many dead animals, returning otherwise wasted nutrients to the soil. They allow gymnosperms to reproduce, ensuring the survival of flowering plants.

1 Act: Create insects in the world (these ones, at least, are just standard insects)

Death

Death flew high through the sky. A flash of lighting roared past him, illuminating his red feathers with bright blue light. If death hadn't been distracted he might have wondered why the atmosphere was suddenly so stormy. But he was busy, searching the landscape for his brothers.

Already, the barren plains were beginning to take shape. Forests, of green and copper, swamps and plains, and even a few buildings scattered across the continent. From his high vantage death could even see across to the other continents. Death noted the giant rift with slight worry. He would have to go find out where that led. Later.

Death resumed his search. And a few minutes he spotted what he was looking for. A tomb-like structure south of the obelisk. He dove in for a closer look. He recognised the stonework as something Asupachiel would make. Death landed, and warped back to his humanoid form.

Death walked down into the crypt, and proceeded through the city. It was a grand place, truly worthy of the gods. But it was empty. That would need to change.

Death removed his sword from it's sheathe and held in one hand. Swinging it in a wide circle, he carved a portal back to the Underworld. After a few moments, a griffin, ever attentive walked through the portal.

"Begone mortal, none may pa... Oh sorry m'lord."

Death only smiled.

"Have any notable creatures died in my absence?"

"It's only been a few days..."

"I know. Has anything died?"

"Nothing tasty, a few animals, squirrels, birds, insects. That sort of thing."

"An Insect? I will require one"

"Yes Lord"

The Griffin flew away. A few minutes later it returned. It opened it's paw, and threw and ant through the portal

"This will do"

Death closed the portal. He placed the ant on the ground, and draw his sword. With both hands on the sword, death stabbed the ant, killing it. Death spoke a word. The sword began to glow. The glow flowed down the sword into the ant. The glow intensified, and grew, filling the ant with energy.

After a few seconds, Death lifted away his sword. The dead ant twitched, and returned back to life. And then, with a sudden start, the ant grew, doubling, tripling, increasing in size to almost six feet. And from it's body, grew a human body, arms and a head. The ant stopped growing. It turned to face death, and turned it's head quizzically.

"You are the first Formian. This is your city. You will live here until the day you die. You will maintain and expand the city. You will increase your numbers to fill the city. You will do as you are ordered by me or my brothers. Go now"

The Formian shuffled off down a corridor

1 act - Create the Formian race. An insect race, built purely as a work force. They are intelligent, but their IQ is significantly lower than a humans. They have tough hides, but are cowards, and will flee from any serious danger. They live shorter lives than humans, but reproduce faster.

Hexapoda

Satisfied with creating his first children, Hexapoda rests. But soon afterwards, something sends a shock through his mind! It seems something has used one of his creations. Well, that is to be expected. Something to check up on later, however. There is still one last urge in his head. The urge for... companionship? Something which will obey him? Focusing, Hexapoda uses some of the more successful insects he already created as a basis for his next work.

Nocturne

The God of darkness spends yet another lonely night camped on the edge of the forest. The prattle of insects drowns the night like an endless orchestra. A small fire burns, and Nocturne roasts a rabbit on a spit above it. The flame throws an orange glow on his sallow skin, his eyes seem to glow as he watches the rabbit flesh burn.

Without a sound except the crickets and uneasy sway of the jungle, his eyes flick up to the treeline. In the blackness, the flicker of orange flame illuminates a distant, patch of white skin vaguely resembling a face, cocked on its side. A patch of cloth that might have been a shirt--and that was it. Black form vanished into the black forest beneath him.

The figure was vaguely human, but only vaguely, and the sight of it sent a shiver up the spine of even Nocturne, who quickly looked away, back to the rabbit. Still, the figure seemed to lurk in the periphery of his vision, always at the edge of the trees.

"Yes," Nocturne muttered to himself, finally smiling at the creature lurking in the darkness. "Here you shall inhabit--and forever guard this jungle, and strike fear into the hearts of all who gaze upon it.""

Steven

Though he was content watching his creations develop and flourish, Steen realised that in order to porgress in this world, he must try to step out of isolation and speak with another God. At this time the only God who had spoken to him was death, and he thought this God might be an interesting character to talk with, so he mounted his white horse and left his lands to develop on their own for a while.

The journey took very little time, and Steven soon saw the figre he saught. He aproached death with a greeting.

"Greetings Tleltamyx! I apologise for my former silence, I was silmply shocked at the recent developments. I hear you are the God of death. This concept interests me, you govern the death of mortals? Does this mean that you enjoy the concept of death or that you are simply a protector of those souls after they die?

Tleltamyx

Steven found Tleltamyx on the highest peak in Ngororo, staring out across the blasted heath. On Stevens approach Tleltamyx turned, laying his red eyes upon the God of Travel.

"Greetings Steven. Thank you for coming to see me. I also regret our meeting was cut short. Sores reaction was entirely unexpected. No matter. I'm sure it was only stress from losing the Titans.

I am indeed the God of Death. I would not say I 'enjoy' the concept, but it is unavoidable. Death requires a God, and thus far I haven't been able to find anyone who can do it as well as me.

It's not my job to protect the dead. I protect the living, from the dead. Very few people die without any life energy left in them. If no-one does anything about it the life energy will build up, and cause chaos.

Rhin sighed. "All I ask is that you do nothing. Is that truly so hard to fathom? You claim you know what will happen if they are left alone, but you do not. No-one, Titan, mortal, or god, has seen a truly free people before. ...Simply let them be. "

The Tower of Joseph

Joseph rose from his deep slumber, divine power rising in him as he strode towards the darkened entryway of his tower. But what was this? As he stepped into the burning sun, he saw no vast, glorious civilization before him! He saw merely his Humans crouched in mud and huddled in huts! Huts!
The mortals squabbled among themselves constantly, but this would not do for power in the future.
Joseph kneeled on the ground again, pulling the sand into one who would lead his mortal race into the shining light of the future. He would be intelligent beyond his race, a mortal in form only, a god in mind.
He would call this being Jason.
And as night fell, the Lord completed his dark work. And he turned to the sky, and called down from it the materials that would serve his people in the future. And from the sky fell ore rich mountains, which hammered the ground around the Tower of Joseph. These would guard his people against the malevolent, and give them the power to build the great civilization the Lord had envisioned since the day of his supernatural birth.

And with that, Rhin strode off into his forest, skirting round his creations and moving well out of the sight of any onlookers. There, he mustered the powers of creation again, in a small clearing, where the light shone through the dense trees.

His divine energy took shape, and a humanoid being was created. Similar to the Fey in stature, the being was covered from head to toe in ornate, crystalline armour. Rhin explained the situation to his creation, and it agreed to watch over the Fey for him. It took the name Rhaenys, after it's creator. Rhin spoke. "My sister claims she will leave my people be. Orlin appeared on the empty continent to the west, the dust settling, sprayed in the air from his disturbance on the nothingness. Orlin looked around and sighed. Cracking his knuckles, he planted both feet firmly in the ground. Raising his hands into the air, Orlin began chanting, words of forbidden arcane lore flowing from his mouth, the almost solid syllables seeming to drip onto the ground. The power poured forth for hours, spreading forth, gripping the land in strange, alien tendrils.

After a while, Orlin's body rose into the ground, the ritualistic chanting becoming an almost droning background noise. A high-pitched, shrill noise is heard, and then a thunderclap and blast of lightning, overpowering the senses, a white blast burning itself into the retinas.

After the end of this, a city had been raised from the ground- shining, polished steel, the city was empty, but ready to be populated.

Hexapoda

She was large, nearly the same in height as Hexapoda himself. Her body stretched out even further behind her, segmented. She needed to use four of her limbs to support her, and these were thicker than her pair of more delicate upper ones. Her wings were large enough to allow a flight which was powerful but ungainly. A powerful, poisonous stinger was present on her tail, and she possessed strong, crushing jaws and a proboscis-like mouthpiece. She was similar to Hexapoda, but only her prominent, multi-faceted eyes were identical.

Hexapoda probed her mind, and found intelligence there. Of course, the primary urge was to obey, but there was free will and curiosity. Pleased, he allowed Vespoidea to enter his mind, and basically copy all that he knew about the world.

While his Queen considered her new knowledge, and confident that she could survive indefinitely without his aid, seeing as she was basically just sitting there, Hexapoda felt it was time to investigate what he had felt had happened to one of his creations... it was starting to become an urge. Once again he flew towards the middle continent. South of where he had felt his first summons, he found a stone construct in the wasteland. THIS was where he had felt the warping. He sat down to wait until someone or something came.

Sores

He stood there, by the lonely stand where his armor once stood, looking at the desolation that existed. He looked back for a while on the days when there once stood a proud temple, a place of beauty and strength. However, it is gone now, and all that's left is Sores and the stand.

He decides he has had enough of looking at the bare dirt, and decides to create. He looks around him, and kneels. He places his hands in the dirt, and commands it to grow. "Let you be dry and desolate no longer." Soon, from the ground springs odd plants. They grow almost to the knees in some areas, rustling in the breeze. It possesses a shine to it that isn't seen in other plants, looking like a sea of wheat-colored metal. It looks as though it were both a welcome and a warning to those who enter Sores's domain. "The Guarding Fields. That shall be your name."

After having finished creating the fields, he turns behind him. He raises his hand high and speaks loudly. "Rise, beacon of law! Rise, sanctuary of the sun! Rise, and claim this land for your own!"

Soon, the dirt swirls upwards, almost to the point of being blinding. Within a moment, it swallows Sores and the stand whole, until after minutes, it disspates.

Sores steps out, and looks upon his creation. He smiles, pleased. He stood on the platform of the largest building, looking down on the city. It was a simple layout, with plenty of buildings made with stone, ivory, gold, and silver. The road was a simple paved road, but it was smooth and even, and weaved its way throughout all of the city.

Surrounding the city was a large, clean slate wall for defense. It possessed gates on the south-eastern side, two strong gates of granite with silver eclipsed suns emblazoned on them.

Where Sores stood was perhaps the grandest part of the whole city. It was a round building, with a flight of steps in front of it paved with ivory. Pillars lead into the building, while platforms closed by double doors can lead out. It was clearly made to be a temple, or a place of great respect.

Sores nodded his head, pleased. "You are grand, aren't you. You should be. You should be proud. Soon you shall be the crown jewel upon the earth's brow. Your name shall be the City of Sol. It may not be much, but soon, you shall be my greatest follower."

"It seems I have another guest. I don't want to be rude and ignore him, would you mind if we relocate our talk somewhere else?"

With that, death walked past Steven, and began the walk down to the ground. He had to take the slow route, knowing Stevens horse wouldn't be able to follow over the rocks.

After a few minutes Death emerged at the bottom of the mountain. He walked past Asupachiel, sparing time for a nod and polite confirmation.

:smalleek:As the other... being approached, Hexapoda struggled to contain his surprise. This was one equal in power to him! And he only had four limbs! How did he survive??? But... Maybe this one had answers, and maybe even he was someone to obey.

Hearing a voice for the first time, Hexapoda struggles to comprehend. But, slowly, he identifies with the concept of speech, and replies.

Challalya

The goddess stands on tiptoe to look at one of the leaves up close, plucks a bit of copper wire hanging-moss from the stem, runs a hand over it. The clockwork plant shivers and puts forth a whorl of razor-edged petals at her touch, and she laughs.

"Very pretty, my sweet!" She smiles, revealing cat's teeth to go with her cat's eyes. "But I don't think your mortals will be very happy if all they have to eat is metal, will they? Let's do something about that."

Some distance away, the wings Challalya shed drift to the ground, falling apart in thick ropy strands with no body to sustain them. They settle into the canopy of the clockwork forest and drape themselves over the trees vine-like, entwining themselves around trunk and branch alike. Soon, translucent golden fruit dangles from between the trees, and an almost nauseatingly sweet smell of honey mixes with the tang of copper.

Mertell silently slid into the earth, done with the proceedings at the obelisk, eager to create. She usually perferred relaxation to any sort of work, but ideas were buzzing around her head at the moment, and she was eager to act on them. As she went, she sensed her sister Azanai's summons, and sent a short message to her; "Meet me five miles east of the obelisk if you wish to talk."
With that, she focused on her speed, getting there fairly quickly.

As she stepped out of the ground, she glanced around, only to see dirt plains as far as the eye could see. Dissapointing, yet full of potential none the less! She set to work quickly, focusing on her hand, pulling shards of earth from the ground, almost instantly forming a huge mountain range, stretching far and wide. Pleased, she thought for a moment, stumped as to what to put there, for a mountain range by itself was boring. An idea stood out in her mind fairly quickly though, prompting her to sprint to the top of the tallest mountain. As she reached the top, she glanced around at the magnificent view only momentarily, as she was never one for heights, and focused again, sending a burst of her energy into the earth, this time implanting ores of many differing types across the planet, to add variance to the bland selection available.

She stood back once that was done, gasping for breath, a wide smile on her face. After a short break, she melded to the bottom of the mountain and conjured one of her new ores to her hand; a piece of quartz the size of a small person. Holding it tight, so tight it almost broke, she unleashed a large portion of her energy into it, shaping it carefully and dedicatedly. Once she was done, she opened her eyes too a large group of slender humanoids, their skin a light shade of blue-ish gray, their hair jet black, and their eyes all shades of blue or purple. Though, by far their most interesting physical trait was that were slightly transparent, not enough to be of any major aid for them, but it was noticeable. As they awoke too see the world, Mertell melded back to the top of the mountain, content to watch from afar for now, leaving only the remaining quartz for them, and knowledge.

Half, just meet me on top of the mountain if you wish.

Ba'zheest

The Lord of Steel sat quietly on his throne, peering into the abyss of his mind, gazing at Eternity. It was there that he found the design for his next creation: the ancestors of the last people.

From his mind sprang existence. Not crude matter, but pure thought came into existence. A hundred ghostly beings emerged from Ba'zheest's thoughts and surrounded him. Creatures older than existence at birth, they will be at his side after all else has perished.

"You are eternal. I have foreseen your existence in the great void beyond all time. Your existence is bound to eternity, and therefore to me. Together we will protect the end of time and existence."

The ghostly shades descended into the maze and permeated the steel construction. The whole labyrinth began humming and at the center of the northern continent one single sentence could be heard, forever marking this moment:

WE. ARE. ETERNAL.

Spend 1 Act, creating the Eternals. 100 immortal, incorporeal spirits. They exist purely as energy and cannot interact directly with any plane of existence (nor can they be interacted with). They are able to possess lifeless shells (specifically designed ones primarily, but possibly also things like the chitineous exoskeletons of insectoids). While not contained, they usually are within the labyrinthine walls, roaming the maze and monitoring trespassers. They reproduce slowly, and a part of every generation is sterile.

Kallen

The little godling smiles happily his his mother compliments his creation. As she forms those vines, his head tilts slowly to one side, quizically. Once those fruits form, he reaches up to pluck one from a vine, biting into it.

His eyes close. "Sweet..." he nearly moans in delight, giving a little shiver.

Kallen feels that he must share this bounty with someone. So he snaps his fingers again...

The faint ticking of the forest stops. Before it stopped, it wasn't even that audible, but the sudden silence is almost opressive. Kallen reaches up to the tallest brances of the nearest tree - how he does this with his feet still planted firmly on the ground is hard to conceptualise - and plucks a tiny copper seed from one of its flowers. He then stoops down, poking a finger into the dirt below and planting the seed.

He then steps back. The ticking of the forest starts again, and he grins.

Around them, dozens of seeds drop from the trees and bury themselves into the dirt, as if following Kallen's example. Moments later, the first seed begins to sprout... Instead of growing a tree, however, what grows there is a large, copper flower, its intricate, delicate copper petals locked together, forming what seems to be a cocoon. There's something inside...

While more flowers pop up all around, the first flower opens, revealing what lays without - a girl! Humanoid, with faintly copper-coloured skin and fair hair. Her eyes open, revealing them to be just like Kallen's - the irises made of thousands of tiny gears. She's dressed in simple clothes to protect her modesty - although knowing Kallen there might not really be anything to hide.

The girl looks quizically at Kallen and his mother, while more children are 'born' all around them...

Using... however many acts it requires to make the Children of the Copper Forest:

They are unaging and immortal. They don't procreate without the aid of their God - but as they don't die of natural causes they don't have any need to procreate really. They are physically weak, but intellectually quite powerful. They have no particular grasp of magic, but have a keen grasp for intricate technology.

They are, of course, mentally childlike and inquisitive, just like their God.

Kallen admires his work for a few moments, then smiles.

Steven follows Tleltamyx, regarding the creations around him quizically. It is not anything like something he himself would create, however it's intricacy was not without an element of beauty.

"You must be proud of what you have done here" He says to his company.

"My horse is named Lystras" He strokes the main of his snow-white horse tenderly, and frost covers his fingers when he withdraws his hand.

"You seem to be a rational person Tleltamyx, and I see the necessity for the work you do, however from what I have heard and seen of you, it is not so necessary to protect the living from the dead, as to protect the living from Death. (I refer to your title, not the phenomenon). You seem all too willing to take the lives of mortals whether it will serve you a purpose or not."

Steven's eye shine slightly as he looks for Tleltamyx's response.

Sores [City of Sol]

Sores looked upon the city, and noticed that the city was empty. It was a grand shell, a hollow gem in its current state. That was soon to change.

Sores took off from the platform he was on, and flew to the Guarding Fields. He looked upon the sea of shining wheat, and reached down and plucked a single strand of it. He then went into the fields and plucked a bushel's worth of the shining wheat, gathering some of the best strands from the fields in the process.

After he finished gathering the bushel up, he flew back to the city. He stopped just short of the temple building and set the bushel down before the steps. He then rose above the walls and looked to the south-west of the Guarding Fields. He knew his new subjects would need a place to find food, and so he rose his hand and beckoned to the earth. "Rise." He simply stated, and the earth did. Along the coast rose a small mountain range, with trees all about it, and a small forest reaching out to the edge of the Guarding Fields. Within both lived plants and animals both, goats and rabbits, fruits and berries. Right from the mountains flows a stream of pure water, flowing with fish.

With the needs of his future creations met, he floated back down to the ground with a sigh. He was growing tired, his energy becoming spent. He hadn't excercised his power like this in quite a long time, but he wasn't finished yet. He grabbed the bushel and seperated it into groups in a half-circle around him. He then raised his hands over the shining wheat, letting his power flow through it. The sun's rays became intensified on them, and soon they stood up on end. "Rise, people of the sun! Become whole and live, breath, and grow!" At his words, a blinding flash soon engulfed the wheat, before parting and revealing what Sores had created.

Before him stood humanoids. Their skin was red in all different shades, two red horns came from their foreheads, and their teeth were sharp. They were muscular of build, and tall of height, the shortest amongst them being taller than six feet high. Their faces were grim, but in their current state confused. They looked at each other with wonder, before looking to their creator. "Who are we? Where are we?" Asked the humanoid in front of Sores. Sores smiled and replied to him with a hand on his shoulder. "You all are Oni. I have created you, and I shall guide you. This is the City of Sol, your home."

Acts:Spent: 2

1 Act: Created yet-to-be-named forest and mountain range on the south-western coast.

1 Act: Created the Oni. Stats:Muscular, much stronger than humans. Tougher than humans as well. Perhaps not quite as intellectual as other races, but they are not by any means as dumb as a sack of rocks. They are passionate, and prone to swinging from emotion to emotion. Keen senses, as well as a sixth sense that allows them to feel what emotions another feels.

The Northern Forest
The gathered Fey milled around, unsure what to do. They had been given no purpose, no goal. They simply, were. They knew they needed to set to work if they were not to starve, but they had little idea where to begin, and no organisation.

They had a common language, and names, those, at least, had been granted by their gods, but nothing else. One of the shorter Fey, a dark-haired one named Alden opened his mouth to speak, only to be cut off by the man standing next to him, a Fair haired fey named Sorys. “We can’t stand around all day, lest we die of cold.” Taking command, Sorys assigned most of the Fey to attempt to build structures for them to live in, starting with gathering materials. He told the rest, including Alden, to search for things that might be useful as tools, or raw materials. Alden had a dark expression, but it was quickly replaced with more neutral one as the other Fey seemed content to take orders. As the Fey set about their assigned tasks, Alden slipped away, the others assumed to explore.

“What an idiot!” Alden fumed. “He is completely unfit for leadership. I mean who cares about shelter? What we need is Food! Drink! An absolute buffoon.” Alden calmed himself, and set to wandering about, foraging for edible food himself. Oh, he’d show them all what an idiot that fool Sorys is, and then they’d come crawling back.

In the hours he searched, he found little. A few berries that may or may not be poisonous. (He wasn’t willing to find out) and half of some kind of bird carcass. Not a lot of meat on it, but Alden pocketed the skull, and de boned the remainder of the corpse as well. It might come in useful. As he prepared to call the endeavour a loss, and return to the site of their creation, he saw something, in the corner of his eye.

It was some kind of shiny rock. Large, too, and pitted, as if it had been repeatedly struck. Oddly, he felt repulsed by it. As if it was something vile. Something dangerous. Ignoring the urge to run, Alden laid his hand upon the rock. As soon as he touched the thing, it was as if heat lanced through his entire body, thought the rock was cold to the touch. He screamed. Instinctively retracting his hand, he knew the scream would draw attention. No doubt the other Fey would find him soon. A small chunk of the rock seemed to have crumbled off as he touched it. Odd. Still, seeing an opportunity, he used a leaf to pick up the substance, and store it into the folds of his clothing. Sitting on the ground some way from the rock, he waited for his fellow Fey to arrive.

Ah, Brothers! As you know, there will soon be a collapse in this crude social order. Inevitably, without a system of law, one god will grow angered at another and attack. When that happens, many will take sides, and a war will eventually be born. When that happens, we must already be prepared for this war. I have already built a fortress, and already built a natural barrier. You shall see its full effect in time. However, this is not nearly enough. Thus, my question stands. What should our overarching plan be? We need to secure a large area in only a little time, and we would do well to ensure that we make more allies than enemies.

The rock was smothered in a rough cloth, and carried back to the camp. Alden walked alongside as the rock was carried, and they made good progress, swiftly arriving at the semblance of a village. Progess was good on the Shelters, mostly using the Trees as a base, building on and around the trunk. The beginnings of a Palisade marked the boundaries of the camp. Alden almost shook with rage at what he saw in the centre of camp.

Sorys had enthroned himself, sitting on a surprisingly ornate chair, barking orders, as the other Fey carried on as if this was normal. Alden struggled not to cry out in rage, but suppressed his anger. His thoughts turned to the stone in his pocket. He had an urge to shove the thing down Sorys’ fat throat. The scouts who had found Alden brought the Stone to the centre of the village, presenting it to Sorys. Sorys, despite himself, pressed his hand onto the stone. As the pain lanced through him, he shuddered, and breathed heavily, but made no cry. Retracting his hand, he had the rock cast from the settlement. The thing was clearly evil. Alden watched the entire thing, hatred etched on his face. Luckily, no-one watched him. In the centre of the village, food was gathered into a great pile. Apparently Sorys had at least been smart enough to realise his mistake, or listen to wiser council. “We will feast tonight!” he declared. “To celebrate that we have accomplished, and that which is to come.” Alden skulked off to one of the shelters. They were not private, as they had no time to build enough shelters for every Fey to have one, so they were shared. However, luckily, the shelter was empty. Alden idly fingered the lump of iron, keeping a layer of cloth between him and the evil substance. Finding a nearby rock, he ground a fine powder off of the end of the chunk, putting the lump aside, and carefully gathering up the powder.

That night, the Fey ate well on meat (mostly scavenged) and fruit, even though most of it was dark, and had a bitter bite. The self-proclaimed King of the Fey took the best food, and it was a simple matter to scatter the iron dust over his food. Alden made his excuses, and left the Fey encampment. It would not be a painless death for Sorys. Alden could not resist a smirk as he heard the first scream.

Ba'zheest

The Eternals need for form grew stronger. They roamed the near infinite paths of the maze, frustrated of their confined existence. They were the chosen people of their god, yet they could not interact with the world. The immortal people was restless.

The angles of the maze bent and the steel warped itself into unknown shapes. Fusing together in some places, ripping apart in others, the labyrinth transformed itself.

Ba'zheest had conceived the Great Forge.

Cylindrical in shape, it is completely composed of steel. It rests deep within his realm and at its core is a cauldron. Tubes run from the central cauldron to different machines, all with not yet determined purpose. It will soon star to spit out heat and materials to be formed. Around it, huge constructs and endless conveyor belts rest silently.

There was one thing to do, before the God of Steel animated his creation. He went to the Hive and waited for its lord to emerge.

Meanwhile, the Eternals explored the modification to their home.

Spend 1 act to create the basic structure of the Great Forge. It is inert until another act is spent to ignite the melting pot in its center, giving it magical properties. I will pm these to Sir.

Llira sat on the gnarled branch of a great oak tree, absently watching the fey milling about anxiously amongst the trees waiting for news of their stricken leader, thankfully the screams had long subsided. She showed a degree of attention when the self-appointed physician sprinted out of the only real house in the village- Llira hesitated to attatch such a name to the ramshackle shelters where the majority of the villagers resided- belonging to Sorys.

“Sorys is dead, our leader has gone!”

Llira lithely slipped from the branch and dropped to the ground, falling a distance that would have maimed any mortal, and approached the small group of fey surrounding the entrance to Sorys’ home and the shaking young fey who had delivered the news of his passing to those amassed outside. Remembering Rhin's demand, she remained cloaked from her creations eyes. With an irritated scowl in the direction her sibling had left Llira flitted into the house and located the recently departed leader’s cadaver.

Llira could not at first see a cause of death, no sign of illness, no sign of what caused his screams. Puzzled, she extended her consciousness into the vacated cadaver, searching amongst the fey's dissipating spirit. A few minutes later she withdrew herself back into her own body, her face set in a grim expression, shaking slightly at the residual fear and anger in the body from the spirit’s abrupt and forced exit.

There was no sign of an illness because he was not ill; he had been poisoned, murdered.

“I warned him this would happen.” She muttered under her breath sending a glare eastwards gingerly rubbing at her neck as the numb sensation began to dissipate, a ghost of the burns Sorys’ own throat had suffered, leaving a slight metallic tang in her mouth.

She glared at the cooling remains, venting the irritation she felt towards her sibling at a less argumentative recipient. “For now I shall continue to only observe.”

Sores

Sores spent the rest of the day leading the group of oni he had created out of the City and into the forest so that they could eat and drink. Along the way, he talked to them. He told them about the Law, about what's right and wrong. He told them about how they should keep what's good close to them, and should never let go.

After a while, they arrived to the forest, by the creek that flew through it. The oni eagerly drank from its waters, although one stayed by Sores and looked up at him. Sores smiled and nodded his head, giving him permission to go and join his fellow oni.

This particular oni was the most confidant of the group, as well as the smartest. He wasn't the tallest, but he might as well have been. His skin was a bright red, his hair a jet black, and his eyes a bright yellow. His smile was wide, with sharp teeth as he walked over to the creek. Almost instinctively, the other oni made way for him.

After they sated their thirst, they stood back up, and the leader looked to them and laughed. "You all should name yourselves! It would be rather confusing if we just called each other 'you' all the time." The other oni chuckled, and started to pick names for each other. Eventually, the leader picked his name. "Lonir sounds nice."

Nocturne

With his brothers in the infinitely glorious city of Necropolis, Nocturne notices a flickering movement in the shadow of a narrow alcove. Not much, perhaps an imperceptible friction of ghostly movement. As if darkness were rubbing against shadow. It sent a ripple down Nocturne's spine, and he knew it was good.

"Did you see that?"he asks rhetorically, dropping his cigarette onto the ground and grinding it in with the heel of his boot. By the time he had taken two steps towards the alcove, he was lighting another long cigarette in his mouth.

He saw the movement in the shadows more clearly as he approached. It was an uneasy rustling. Something like the grotesque motion of maggots crawling over each other, or perhaps like the sweaty filth of an orgy made blind by wine. Their rustling was accompanied by the song of the night, a sound not unlike the chirping of crickets or the squeal of distant bats.

"I shall call them Shadow People," Nocturne mused to himself, smiling a wide, toothy grin. "And they shall forever inhabit the In-Between."

1 Act
Create the "Shadow People" a race of demon creatures that inhabit the "in-between", which is the space Nocturne imagines between darkness and shadow. Almost invisible to mortals, they resemble hunched over humans, perhaps of child-size, with small horns and long, thin fingers. They walk on two legs, but use their arms while running. They are almost completely black, although careful observation indicates that their skin swirls with many different colors.

They are not incorporeal, though they are not precisely solid. If you were to squeeze an arm, you would find your fingers slipping through their ice-cold flesh with only some resistance, and squeezing off a limb is entirely possible for a human being of average strength.

It is not known if the creatures are intelligent or merely act as a pack. Dwelling usually in dark, forgotten places of the world, their very existence is unconfirmed by mortal races, who maintain rumors that not only do the shadow people exist, but they inhabit cities, living a parasitic existence with the mortals there, always lurking on the periphery of vision.

Hexapoda

After finishing his talk to Ba'zheest, Hexapoda stamped back into the Hive and his waiting consort. He began his preparations...

The Birth of the Ectognathan Swarm, Empire of Hexaan
The Hive was prepared. The central chamber was filled with sacred markings, lending power to the ritual that was about to be performed. Hexapoda viewed his Eternal Consort. Suddenly, the urges of reproduction were strong in him, and he pushed Vespoidea into the ultimate embrace of obedience. Power filled the air as their first ritual mating occurred.

Soon after, Vespoidea laid her first eggs. There were twelve in total, and they quickly hatched. Emerging from them were maggot like creatures, which underwent six rapid metamorphisms, using the power still lingering from the mating ritual to mature and grow. In under a day, they were in their final form as insectiods, smaller than Vespoidea. Six had the form of a bee, but they stood on two legs. The other six had the forms of termites, but with raised upper torsos. No movement from any of them was forthcoming, however. Vespoidea reeled in shock as awareness from these new beings flooded her mind. The sharp increase of sensory input was as much as her mind could handle for the time. Eventually, she realised she could easily control the movements and actions of her offspring. And in time, her imprint and thought patterns would be imprinted on them, reducing her need to control them and allowing them to perform their basic tasks without supervision.

There was little enough for them to do. Of each sort, there was a sole female, a large male and four smaller males. Vespoidea copied the ritual she had just partaken in, and her male offspring took it in turns to mate with their respective females. The females soon began to lay eggs.

From these eggs, once again maggots hatched. The final bit of power from the ritual matured them until they were smaller versions of their parents. These were near identical to each other. Vespoidea could feel their minds as well, filtered through their parents. When she focused, she realised her psychic link was boosted through the ones conceived by the larger male.

Hexapoda had been resting from his efforts while his children grew and multiplied. Finally, Vespoidea met his mind.

"With these children of mine, what do? What are they?
Outside, barren dry waste"

Hexapoda responded:
These are the Ectognathan Swarm. They shall form the Empire of Hexaan, of which you are now Reginata, the supreme ruler and Soul-Source.

The winged ones are the Apoidians, and the crawling ones are the Isopterans. The females you birthed are called the domina, the larger male the dran and his lesser brothers the dore (collectively the drones). The dran’s offspring are the entomos, and the dore’s offspring the laboris. These are ones who shall provide all with substance, and the ones to build our shelter. But there must be something for them to work with.

With that, Hexapoda went outside. He used his memories of what he had seen in the world, and summoned his remaining power. A lake appeared nearby. The goal of his creation was, however, to make a resource that would allow his offspring to survive. Trees sprung up – they were hardy and needed very, very little water to survive. But more importantly, these trees flowered constantly, and reproduced quickly. The flowers were huge, and full of pollen and nectar. These trees covered a vast area.

Send forth our children to harvest the sacred juices of the flowers of the Viego trees. These can be used to sustain and grow our population. Let these children with flight be the tenders of the fields and harvest for all to use. And the crawling children, let them build the Hive. Let them make space for all to live, and to protect all from the elements. The trees can be taken by them, and chewed, and combined with mud of the lake, and then, even as I made the Hive as a tribute to my hatching into the world, these subjects can expand on it.

With that, Hexapoda retreated back into the Hive. Vespoidea, slowly learning how to control and direct her servants, via the minds of the drones and the entomos, ordered the Apoidians one at a time to fly out to the fields and begin harvesting nectar and pollen, to be bought back and made into honey. Quickly, they imprinted the tasks and became capable of efficiently performing them without her supervision. The Isopterans she made chew down some of the trees and mix with the mud of the lake, and they began to expand the Hive.

And thus the Ectognathan Swarm, the Empire of Hexaan, began, with the simple agricultural caste of the Apoidians and the building caste of the Isopterans.

1 Act: Create the first of the Ectognathan Swarm, the Apoidians and the Isopterans.
Hexapoda and Vespoidea mated to produce the Domina and the Drones. One drone of each caste is the dran. All are are under the direct mind control of Vespoidea. These then mate to produce the actual working individuals, which are properly representative of the caste. Offspring from the dran, called entomos, act as living focuses to extend the mind control and also, if a drone or the domina dies, one of the entomos still growing up/metamorphing can be made to replace them. Entomos still work like ordinary Hexans or laboris.

Apodians - Basically, they are a bee humanoid, slightly smaller than the average human (the domina and drones are slightly larger). They exist to harvest pollen and nectar from flowers, and turn it into honey to be consumed. They possess a stinger, but die if they use it. It would take 2 to 3 Apoidian stings to kill a normal humanoid. They are a last ditch defense, or can be used as cannon fodder if needed.

Isopterans – Resembling centaurs in body structure rather than humanoid (walk on 4 legs, have 2 arms) Based on termites. They exist to build, and do so by chewing wood and mud, then using the resulting mixture to make walls etc. They also dig tunnels. They can squirt a weak acid, similarly to Apoidians it would take 2-3 Isopterans to kill a normal humanoid, and they would probably get killed by said humanoid at the same time.
1 Act: Create habitat in the four squares around the Hive – a big lake and trees which reproduce fast, and constantly have large, pollen and nectar filled flowers (called Viego trees).

The Dawn of the First Age of Man
Brothers, we stand on the brink of a new age! A dawn of our people!
Jason beseached his people in the mountainside meeting hall below the tower of his creator. Poor, hardy people the humans had become, souls embittered by hate. They lived off of mountain scrub and small game, scavenging what they could for survival.
But now Jason had the answer to all that.
Comrades! The Father has planted faith into my mind! Soon, we will find our birthright deep within these mountains! We will conquer the wastes, and escape our cradle to set out into the open world! Soon, brothers! Soon!
A cheer arose from the hope inside the poor souls in that meeting hall. Calls to their god.
Too bad he was too far away to hear.

A Second Hand for Joseph

Meanwhile, Joseph sowed the seeds of power on the far south peninsula of the North-East continent. The god sacrificed his own hair to create a dense jungle, cackling with wildlife.
And then, Joseph imbued his will to dominate all life into a new race, with multiple jaws and long claws, cruel, mishapen forms of Humans.
He would name them the Departed.
But time would come to call them another name.

Form the Jungle of Joseph in the Southern Peninsula of the North-East Continent. - 1 Act, 4 Squares
Create mishapen Humans, called the Departed. - 1 Act

Necropolis

One of Tleltamyx' griffins was dragging behind. It had taken a minor injury, and was slowed. A perfect target for experimentation. The cold hand of the God of Perfection struck it, having extended over half of Necropolis. As the telescoping hand returned to its normal position on the body of the God, the Griffin was dragged into Asupachiel's Workshop, and strapped down.

"You will be the first of a new breed..."

The Griffin's body disappeared in a whirl of saws, needles, and oil, but the screams of agony could be heard from the city's entrance. Finally, it was over. The resultant being looked identical to the eyes of a god, but it had something different about it. Something made it far worse than normal. It was no longer at all suited to a role as a flying soldier, as Asupachiel had specialized it greatly. Now, it would make a perfect assassin. Now that he had a process down, it would only require a few dozen more to jumpstart a species...

1 ACT: Convert a representative sample of the Griffon Race into Gargoyles. They have the unique quality of stasis. When they are visible to the eyes of mortals, a coating of steel hidden underneath their skin seeps through and solidifies, and they are teleported to the nearest nonliving surface. To all appearances, the thing is a statue. While in this state, it is almost indestructable, at least by mortals.
To all appearances, a person being stalked by a gargoyle will never see the thing in motion, though they might have noticed that the statue they saw when they last turned around has moved since then. Gargoyles move at terrifying speed, and even so much as blinking can allow one to move within striking distance.
If you need a proper comparison, they are analogous to the Weeping Angels from the TV series Doctor Who.

Tower of Joseph

My first proposal is a non-aggression pact. My second is a mutual restriction: If you look at this map...

A map of the world arises from Asupachiel's hand, showing the relative position of the Tower of Joseph and Necropolis. Most of the other landmarks also appear. A grid overlays the map, showing the section of land that is exactly seven squares away from both the Tower and Necropolis in the form of a Jagged Black Line.

...you can see the midpoint marked in black. I propose this area be treated as a neutral zone. Sending military units or attempting to colonize a neutral zone is considered to be an act of war. Land between this tower and the Neutral Zone is considered to belong to you, and you can expand there without risk of war with my brothers and I. Likewise, land between the Neutral Zone and Necropolis is considered to be my territory, and I can build there without making an expansionist threat. Any mortals that trespass on either territory, without confirmation of permission from the owner of the land being trespassed on, are to be dealt with as the owner of said land sees fit. What say you to this arrangement? Negotiation is fully acceptable.

To get what I am talking about, see the actual map. Using the Bottom-left Corner of the Tower of Joseph as the 'Center,' as well as the Red dot on the left for the 'center' of Necropolis, since that is the actual location of the city. Sir accidentally put two dots for some reason. Thus, the neutral zone would be a down-left line of squares, starting at the square just above Orlin's Library.

Excellent.

Asupachiel summons a contract, with a wording so carefully and clearly written that it had no loopholes possible whatsoever, completely describing the Non-aggression pact and restriction of expansion. It was written that, so long as neither party attacked or trespassed on each other's territory, there would be peace.

All that needs to be done is a pair of signatures here. One for each of us.

The God of Perfection takes a small quantity of Necrogen, and shapes it into a pen with metallic ink, writing his name on the first line in cursive print, along with the glyph of truism, making this contract binding.

The Northern Forest
Alden returned to the Fey encampment later that day. In his hands, he carried a large stick. It looked silly in his hands, a large weapon for so slight a man. Still, he carried it with confidence. A ragged crowd grew when they saw his return. A couple threw insults at him, but most simply watched. The dark-haired fey strode to the centre of the simple village. Looking down at the throne Sorys had made, his face suddenly contorted into anger. Taking the stick into both hands, he swung at the chair, shouting between each blow
"WE...WILL BE...FREE...OF...KINGS!" He beat upon the wooden construction, again and again, until both the throne, and the stick were no more. He turned back to the gathered Fey, red-faced and puffing. A few in the crowd cheered his outburst. Most seemed lost. "What do we do now?"

Alden sighed, heavily. "..It is a new day. We shall tear down those 'shelters'. We will do this properly. "

Hexapoda

The Ectognathan Swarm was growing daily. The domina and their drones were capable of producing thousands of eggs per day. Only basic care was given to them, and many died due to disease. Approximately only one out of every ten eggs grew to maturity. Still, the population of the Isopterans and Apoidians expanded at a constant rate, and became more efficient as they became more experienced at their work. The central structure of the Hive was developing additional chambers, all in the sacred shape of the hexagon - able to house the growing population and the honey produced from the pollen harvested from the Viego trees. The Apoidians were even cultivating the barren lands adjacent to their fields, slowly but surely planting trees. The Empire of Hexaan was flourishing.

Hexapoda decided that Vespoidea was competent enough to nurture the Swarm alone for a while. He still needed to explore the land.

Having already visited the center continent twice, he decided to fly over to the north eastern one. At the bottom half, he found a city surrounded by fields of plants. There were mortal quadrapeds in it, a red shade in colour. He landed near a group, and projected into their minds:

Hexapoda am I,

Nocturne
Inside the Empire of Hexaan

Nocturne, God of Shadow, was leaning against a slightly wilting tree. He was hidden by the twilight shadows cast by the setting sun and a copse further down the way, and the only into thing marking his presence was a slight fire of embers burning at his feet while the blood-sun sank beneath the distant horizon. He raised a speared and roasted squirrel to his mouth and let his teeth sink into the still bloody, white flesh. Blood seeped from the poor creature, swelling on the gods lips and dribbling down his chin, into his robes.

He heard a buzzing in the distance. Something was approaching, without caution and full of naivety. He set the squirrel on his spit above the fire and drank from a metal flask he wore around his neck.

He watched as a large bee-like creature crept into his twilight view. An Apoidian. It's arms grasped the air in front of it, antennae twitching wildly. Nocturne had felt their presence on the wind and in the deepest shadows of night, but he had never chanced to see any of these creatures before. He wondered, idly, what its primitive antennae sensed in the air about him. Was it terrified?

Apparently not. Nocturne watched as it froze in midair, chitinous arms waving around at him in vague threatening postures at the edge of the glittering embers' firelight. It stared into him with bulbous eyes. He smiled back, a wicked smile that showed far too many white teeth that seemed to glow in the near-darkness.

The Apoidian slowly edged in closer.

What was this creature, Nocturne wondered? A scavenger, possibly? Hunter? Did it intend Nocturne to be its next meal?

Nocturne touched the creatures mind. Immediately he sensed that it had no free will, and was controlled by another. Before any input could be relayed back to whatever controlled it, Nocturne overwhelmed the simple insectoid mind and inserted an illusion into it - a large tree branch fell onto the Apoidian and ended its life quickly and without warning. To the overmind, nothing out of the ordinary had occured, and no alarm was raised.

He extended a pale, robed hand to it and beckoned. He could sense that it was releasing fear pheromones, and also those of excitement. It moved in closer.

Nocturne watched it's triangular face with the same wicked smile carved onto his face. He watched it's proboscis flick in and out.

It was beautiful.

Nocturne also thought it deserved a meal. Maneuvering his hand in a strange manner, the shadow god wove the darkness around him into a jagged, obsidian dagger. Carefully and slowly, he drew one of his robe sleeves up to the elbow, revealing a swatch of paper-smooth and white skin. Blue veins bulged. He set the dagger to his skin, and sliced.

The Apoidian jerked. It was locked in place, attracted to the scent of the blood.

Red blood smeared Nocturnes pale skin, and still smiling, he extended the bloody appendage to the Apoidian.

The creature was, for the first time ever, being forced to think for itself. It's compartmentalized eyes were shuttering and jittery and its proboscis was rapidly flickering. Bloodlust was beginning to consume its base instincts. And the god's blood smelled to the creature like an irresistible, ultimate form of pollen. All its life it had been ordered to collect a lesser form of this substance, and now it realized that previously it had been harvesting dust.

Unable to do otherwise, the creature leaned forward, extended its proboscis, and drank of the blood of a god while Nocturne laughed a ringing laugh in a sadistic orgasm.

When the creature had drank its fill, and not a second before, it retracted its proboscis from the arm, which Nocturne healed with a few movements of his hands. The creature sat, for a moment, still on shaking legs staring into the god. It felt massively defeated, yet could even now feel its blood surging with raw power.

It collapsed to the ground. Nocturne watched the change. It's yellow and black exoskeleton went flush, almost white. It's compartmentalized eyes added a red hue to their swaths of black. It's proboscis dripped with a white liquid that hardened it and made it dagger-sharp. A wound the creature had suffered to its side while harvesting pollen days ago stitched itself together with an unsettling quickness. Yet the features of the creature became particularly ideal for its species. It became monstrous yet exemplary. It became evil manifest. It became Vampire.

Nocturne lit a cigarette as the creature turned, and, emitted sensor-numbing pheromones that made Nocturne cringe. This Vampire Apoidian was the beginning of a parasitic subset of the Ectognathan Swarm. As another Apoidian approached, Nocturne watched as the Vampire completely disabled it with its pheromones and then fed on its hemolymph (insect blood). Afterwards, the Vampire used its stinger to insert a corrupting poison. The second Apoidian was turned. These Vampires had increased strength, were cut off from the mind control of the Reginata Vespoidea and fed off the hemolymph of other members of the Ectognathan swarm.

Within an hour, there were a dozen Apoidian Vampires. It was only a matter of time before one converted an Isopteran. The corruption of the Ectognathan Swarm had begun.

1 Act - Create the Vampire Virus. Members of the Ectognathan Swarm which are infected with this virus become Vampires, which are more powerful and feed on other Hexaans. They live a parasitic life in Hexaan culture, operating on the fringe and shrouded in darkness. They use pheromones to numb, desensitise and block the psychic link of other Hexaans.

Vampire Isopterans are burned if in sunlight, cannot cross moving water, and cannot enter a dwelling without permission. Holy objects of "good" gods weaken Vampires, though do not kill them, and objects of "evil" gods strengthen them. They count as undead.

Sores decided to keep watch over the city as Lonir and the oni underneath his leadership flourished. The city was booming with activity, relatively speaking, the oni creating tools and bringing in food for the others to eat.

Lonir smiled as he looked at his fellow oni, setting down his fair share of the fruits of harvest that he gathered from the forest. He had proven to be a hard worker, as they all have. He lead from amongst the people, and wasn't content from simply giving orders from the sidelines. So far, there was peace.

And there was indeed corruption. Like a festering wound on the face of a planet, Ngororo sat, waiting for prey to enter its jaws. There was nothing safe to eat or drink anywhere, plants other than the Wisp Tree simply refused to grow, and the stench of Necromancy tinged the very air so strongly that it seemed to sap life itself from visitors. At night, roving bands of Gargoyles would hunt for intruders, taking whatever they found directly back to Necropolis for interrogation.

To the east, the corruption took a less vehement form, but was just as progressive. The swamp was an evil place, tainted by the essence of Nocturne. Rather than the crushing oppression of Ngororo, the dangers here were far more subtle.

And both would spread, slowly but surely. They would spread.

Llira seethed silently, watching Alden stride purposefully into the village and start to issue orders to her creations after desecrating Sorys’ throne.
“Rather quick to take the helm...” she muttered studying Alden through narrowed eyes. “...especially after the previous leader was poisoned...” she froze “Poison.”

Llira cloaked herself once more and slipped soundlessly into a shelter that had not yet been pulled down finding nothing she entered another and was about to leave when a young fey woman removed a branch from the roof allowing a beam of sunlight to stream into the ramshackle hut, where upon the floor it lit a small patch of barely noticeable silver grains.
Iron powder.

Llira gritted her teeth and uncloaked herself revealing herself to the fey woman still removing branches from the roof.

She glanced up at the woman through the gap; pointing at the iron filings she asked “Who slept here last night?”
“A –Alden I believe my lady.” She stuttered.
“Are you certain of this... perhaps you were one of those who shared this... hut.”
“No miss, I-I was in the hut over there.” She gestured behind her. “B-but Alden was the only one who slept in this hut last night...”
Llira grimaced, “So it was Alden... ” Upon seeing her quizzical expression Llira elaborated “he poisoned Sorys’ food with iron powder.”
“Alden kill-... you must do something miss, he cannot get away wi-“
“I cannot interfere.” Llira cut across her.
“Why not! He’s a murderer we shouldn’t be ruled by a murderer.” She clapped her hand over her mouth “I’m sorry my lady I should not have spoken out of turn.”
Llira laughed softly “It does not matter; it is good you feel so strongly about this... I cannot interfere as my brother forbade it before he set out on his travels.”
The fey woman steeled herself “then if you cannot rid us of him then I will, I know I am not the only one angered by his treatment of Sorys’ throne; no matter what kind of ruler he was he deserved some respect.”
“What is your name child?” Llira asked faintly amused at her tirade.
“Sorwen miss.”
“Then I wish you success in your campaign against Alden Sorwen and the same to those who join you.” And with those parting words Llira faded out of sight.

Mertell had made Azanai her mountain, and Azanai had thanked her and sent her on her way. The hollow construct was just as Azanai had intended, perched directly over the rift in the world. The only way to get in was to climb to the top and jump down the mountain's open roof into the hole to the Etheral Plane. Of course, one could fly through, which would be simple enough, or dig through. However, digging through was not recommended, as one could easily fall prey to the Nether energies if they broke through without a Nether being bringing them along.

She sat on the rim of her new mountain/volcano thing as she pondered two things: What to name the mountain/volcano thing and what to create next. She had her guardians of the Etheral plane - the Nether dragons - and had a normal mortal barrier for it as well.

Now, for her next step. She placed her hand on her chin, and looked down from her seat in the sky upon her mountain. It could easily be the center of a civilization, and since it was rock for the most part, save for the hollowed out center, it could be used as the center of a civilization. But she pouted as she looked at the Nether dragons.

Powerful and intelligent enough, certainly. But they lacked the tools for the job. Their claws were too large and unwieldy for delicate, controlled work, and their utter supremacy made advancing in technology rather pointless anyway. Azanai had created the ultimate living form: a half-material, half-spiritual creature that could not be killed by anything anyone had yet created (material weapons were only about half as effective as they could be) and smart enough that they could start advancing whenever they chose.

And it was SO BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She threw her clawed arms up into the sky, shaking them and yelling like a child. "DO SOMETHING FUN ALREADY!!"

She glared down at her creations, and she blinked as an idea occured to her. The Netherwing would always be uninteresting to her in their current forms...

But if they didn't have to be in those forms...

She giggled, and energy crackled at her fingers as she went to work on her race. Ooooh, things would get interesting soon enough...

Alden reigned for just over a week with little open dissent. He was forever insisting he was no king, merely, 'First among Equals', and took care to be seen following the advice of others. To mark his position, one of the toolmakers constructed for him a circlet of bone, with the skull mounted above the forehead.

There was some hardship, and the lack of shelter made some grumble, but Alden had a knack for spotting talent, and the people were quickly well organised into groups, run by the best at their job. The forest around them was quickly cleared, despite some dissension, and dwellings constructed from the wood. These huts were far superior to the simple shelters constructed by Sorys, and served to mollify some of his detractors.

A Figure dressed in blue was seen by one of the fey, leaving the forest. It didn't respond to any calls.

Tleltamyx

The lord of death soared high above the landscape, searching for new horizons. The northern island was over-flowing with creation, and nearly all the other lands had been occupied.

But one still remained barren. The south-western island. This is where he would carve his people their new home. The Formians were a resilient group, but he had created them on a whim, they did not have the intelligence to live like proper people. Tleltamyx needed a new race, one which one suit his desires.

Tleltamyx spotted a good stretch of plain ground in the centre of the continent, and flew down for a look. He had already seen many of the other gods creations. The daemons were powerful, but lacked the order necessary to thrive on their own. The Centaurs and Oni were strong, but did not possess the killer instinct needed to win in any war.

It was the humans that interested him most, the basic structure was sound, and the mentality good. Variety was needed to keep the civilization evolving. Tleltamyx would model his creations from these.

Tleltamyx landed on the plain, dropping the load he carried. A human, stolen from the Lord of Industry. While the human sprawled around on the dirt, struggling to regain his balance, Tleltamyx stood up and drew his sword.

"What do you want?"

"A duel, catch"

A second sword appeared in Tletamyx hand. He threw the sword to the human, who caught it with a fumble. The human rose to his feet.

"Now?"

"Right now"

Death swung his sword in fast, catching the human off-guard. His sword slipped past the humans, severing two fingers from each hand. Blood flowed from the wounds, covering them, changing them. The remaining fingers grew larger and stronger. The human adjusted his grip, holding the sword firmly in three fingers.

"Thats better, now, Attack!"

The human slashed in from the side, aiming for Death's arm. Death ducked under the blow and caught the human a blow across the mouth. Teeth flew lose, ripping his jaw. New ones grew in their place; sharp fangs.

The human swung again. Death leapt to the side, cutting the arm, the legs, the head. The humans head stretched, losing it's hair, the nose contracted to two slits, the skin turned blue, and the human grew.

Standing eight feet tall the man caught another sword from Death.

"You can do better than that!"

The man charged in, swinging both swords with finesse. Death dodged, parried and spun around to return a swing. The man parried the blow, blocking the sword of a god with one hand. With the other sword he swung in again, driving Death back.

Death stayed on the defensive, waiting for an opening. When it came the man blocked again, and a third time. Marvelling at his creation, Death let his guard down. The human leapt in, cutting through armour to the hide below. A human drew out his sword, bloody for the first time.

Death roared, and threw himself into the attack. With both hands he thrust upwards, stabbing through the man's chest. The man looked down gasping for air as his internal organs shifted and grew. From the wound grew two stumps. The stumps grew longer, took on bone and flesh, forming another pair of arms. With the arms the man grabbed the sword and pulled it out his flesh.

"You are the first of the Occasus, and this will be your homeland; Meridianus Occasus. Go now, I will sent others to follow you"

4 acts - Create the Occasus. An Occas has four arms, one pair at the shoulders and one at the thigh. It has two legs, blue skin, slitted eyes and nose and three digits on each hand. An Occas has a full height of 12"3, but often crouch down to use their lower arms when walking.

An Occas has immense physical strength and intellect. They are born for war and conquest. Their personalities are varied, but all have a taste for blood.

Azanai

Azanai put her hands on her hips and winked at the god, her grin still stuck onto her face. "If that really offended you, you probably shouldn't be speaking to me." She frowned a little as he asked if she'd seen anything interesting. "Eh, not so much." She gestured at the mountain. "The Netherwing haven't had a lot of time with the ability to really do anything fun... though i did watch them mate for a while."

Azanai looked down into the mountain at the portal and held out her hand as Rhin showed up. Some Nether flew out of the portal and swirled around her hand, between her fingers. She watched it undulate and twist for a while, contemplating. "I wonder what a mage who could manipulate this stuff would be like..."

She already knew what a god could do with this kind of power, of course. But she wondered what kind of things a mortal would come up with. Their thought processes were inherently different from her own, after all. Perhaps they would create constructs? Or maybe manipulate gravity, as the Etheral Plane's Nether did?

The first of the Occasus left his god and walked out across the barren landscape. Dust and sand were all that met him, and yet he walked, for he knew not what else to do.

On the second day, when thirst was starting to bear a heavy weight, and the memories of his old life had all but faded, the Occasus found his salvation. A great expanse of water, stretching across the horizon. The Occasus hastened his step, and reached the water as the sun set. He drank his fill, and took a moment to rest, as the water soothed his tired body.

The Occassus woke with a start. The sun had risen again. With the morning came new sounds. Fire, and voices. They spoke in a language he knew he had never heard, yet somehow he understood them.

"Hey, I think he's woken up"

Footsteps approached. The Occasus lifted himself up onto his hind arms. Two pairs of arms took his hands and helped him up the rest of the way.

"Are you real?"

"Yes, we are. I'm Hrafn, and this is Jonas"

"Hi"

"Come, eat with us"

Hrafn and Jonas led their new friend to a small camp. Other Occasus were there. As the First watched, a group of Occasus wandered into camp, carrying stones from the nearby mountains. Already some basic structures had been set up. A small circle had been constructed in the middle of camp, where several birds lay cooking in the sunlight.

First sat down, and ate the first meal of his new life.

The Eythimork Folk live along the western coast of Meridianus Occasus. They are the first of the Occasus civilizations I intend to introduce.

For now the area they occupy is very small so I've left it as barren. I'll use some acts to transform the area into an actual desert next turn.

Asupachiel
Mt. Nevermore

Asupachiel turned to Rhin, saying with a kind voice:

Ah, I see what you are getting at. Let me tell you: That God had made his mind up about me solely based on my appearance. He was humorless enough to take my joke about implantation seriously. I mean, really? Did he really think I would try to replace his brain? I could do so, but what would it accomplish? It was black comedy, to be sure, but it still was meant in nothing more than jest, at least until he started threatening me.

Even the God of Death caught the humor, and played along with the joke, but of course that Sunny Fellow decided that it was all the justification he needed to smite at me. For a moment, I even thought he was going to start a fight. That was why I asked Death to ensure he didn't hurt anyone else. I acted in defense of all of the gods he threatened, simply because he had no sense of humor and was very judgmental. I was innocent of any crime during that debacle. Does that answer your question?

As soon as the next conversation took place, Asupachiel also responded:

I have very different thought patterns than the two of you, so you must forgive me for respectfully disagreeing. I find that mortals tend to be hopelessly violent when left to themselves, and most types require at least a little help getting started, if not a spoon-feeding of information. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I speak from my own experience.

The Seeker of Perfection thought to himself that, as it turns out, Azanai's Free Will wasn't too bad. Rhin's, on the other hand, needed to be disemboweled, torn apart, and strewn over the entire continent. Then burned, just to be sure.

Nocturne

The god of shadow, in his wanderings, found himself at the base of mount Nevermore. He stood in its shadow, which threw itself across the wasteland like a river. Nocturne looked up the looming slopes for a moment, when he heard a squawk in the distance.

A grin threatened to appear on his face, and his narrow eyes shifted to the sound. Speaking in the silent voice of shadow, he compelled the creature to approach.

A raven, black and feathered, flew loyally from the shadow and perched on Nocturne's outstretched, pale hand. He so enjoyed the deathly luster of the creatures wings that he extended a tendril of his mind into it, putting a part of himself in the raven and a part of it in him.

"Nevermore," Nocturne thought, teaching the raven the name of its homeland. And then, out loud, "I shall call you Korbin."

1 Act, create Korbin, the Demon-Raven. Not really so much of a demigod, the ravens primary purpose is to travel the world in shadow as a spy for Nocturne.

Asupachiel frowns slightly.

As you said, we have specific roles that we are required to play. One aspect of my role is a strong need for a degree of order. Unfortunately, a burst of self-genocide is not conducive to that.

On a side note, I fail to see how 'Not Dead' counts as specific. Doesn't it destroy the entire point of creating life if they are all dead?

Asupachiel also looks down, then immediately back up.

I suppose they are. This sort of voyeurism just makes me uncomfortable, however.

Somewhere around the Empire of Hexaan

Finally, the hunger was sated. The first Vampire Hexaan had turned several others, taking them in secret and acting stealthily. More had been fed on, and left for dead. But there was a new feeling now - it was time to change. In its nest, the vampire spun a cocoon around itself, dormant for a while.

In the Hive

Vespoidea was troubled. Her brood had grown constantly. The Isopterans had expanded the Hive, first building two chambers for the domina and drones of the two Swarm castes. After that, chambers for housing the entomos and laboris, the workers. There were also chambers for the storage of the pollen bought in, and a room where it was converted into honey by the Apoidians.

However, after Hexapoda had left, she had been noticing an increase in deaths. Accidents happened, of course, but there was a surprising amount of them. The soul-movement was not unbearable, but it had sometimes been enough to make Vespoidea uncomfortable. She had nothing to confirm her suspicions, but was going to stay a bit more involved with her brood for a while.

City of Sol

Unimpressed with the lack of response after he had travelled so far, Hexapoda left the red humanoids and their master. He could sense a large amount of energy gathered elsewhere, so thats where he flew.

As he approached, he saw that there was a large mountain. Several other divinities were in conversation. He mentally communicated to them,

"Hexapoda am I, who are you? And what do you discuss?"

Noticing the mating Netherwings, Hexapoda thought that his consort and himself enjoyed the process a lot more, maybe because of the extra arms.

Asupachiel frowned a bit.

You two misunderstand me, slightly. I left them alone for 24 hours after creation. When I came back, all but one were dead, and that last one had already lost too much blood. They managed to exterminate themselves in under a day, with no outside influence whatsoever.

Of course, Asupachiel failed to mention that he had been experimenting on a surgery for increasing aggression in mortals at that particular time. He'd succeeded a little too well.

When Hexapoda appeared, the Seeker of Perfection did find a moment to say hello.

Hexapoda is completely confounded by this idea. None of HIS mortals would EVER have this so called "free will!"

It is interesting that you mention that. I clearly have less concern for freedom than you, so I have actually tried everything from utter freedom, to light psychological touches, to absolute Obedience.

Utter Freedom resulted in self-genocide, Light touches resulted in Genocide of EVERYTHING ELSE THEY COULD TOUCH, and Absolute Obedience resulted in, well, whatever I wanted it to.

Personally, I found Light Touches the most amusing, simply because they managed to kill all the Bacteria in the testing environment.

As soon as Tleltamyx appeared, Asupachiel internally grimaced. He knew quite well that Death's Opinion on Mortals and on Gods that protect Mortals would invariably result in conflict with these two. Especially Rhin.

Of course, you happen to be a God of, and I presume this, of course, Freedom, so naturally you would stand a better chance of creating a free society without instability than any other god on this world.

"The question that still remains, is why do you want freedom? Freedom opens up the possibilities, allowing mortals to take actions, not only damaging to themselves, but all of society.

How many years will you continue this test, if it bears no fruit? Ten? One-hundred? A thousand? How many will die in that time? How much suffering will be wrought by your lack of intervention? Do you not care about the mortals you have created? Why would you allow suffering, if nothing is gained? Are these mortals nothing more than a test to you?"
