Why can't I get a custom avatar to work?

It always shows up blank, either as all white or all black.

Well, looking at the image you are using, it is too large. Therefore, the boards take 120x120 pixels from the top left corner, which happen to be all white. You need to use a smaller image if you want it to be seen (no larger than 120x120 pixels, that is).

If you can't crop it yourself I reccomend you go to the avatar forum and have it cropped or edited.
