Anybody that's read my sig knows I like making dragons.

Well seems it's been requested that I make dragonblooded subraces based upon some of the dragons I've made. To avoid cluttering that thread with this, partially because the first post can't really survive another table being added to it, I'm doing it in a new thread dedicated just to dragonblooded races.

I'm willing to take requests from published dragons, or ones I've made.

The original thread is here: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169209

Brightsteel Warforged:
On the world of Arthin, once, a race of great mages built false dragons to fight the red wyrms that plagued them. Their civilization was lost when the world burned and cities sank to the sea, but in secluded mountains their soldiers, fueled by the spirits of dragons and holy energies stolen from the Upper Planes, lay in slumber. Artificers found these ancient constructs, and after years of research they began to construct warriors of their own from these dormant beasts. Pulling their bodies apart for scraps and siphoning off the energies that gave them life, they created an order of noble knights whose flesh was untiring steel.

The draconic energy fueling their bodies made these warforged, like the dragons they were crafted from, seem to glow with inner light.

All traits are as Warforged unless otherwise noted:

+4 Strength, +2 Constitution, -2 Wisdom; this replaces a normal warforged ability score modifiers. The draconic energies in their construction imbue brightsteel warforged with greater strength than normal warforged and more powerful personalities.
Dragonforged Subtype ( http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9435786&postcount=78)
Bonus Warforged feat; this cannot be used to give you two warforged feats that may only be taken at 1st level. The draconic energies inherent in a brightsteel warforged are difficult to contain in a regular warforged body.
Cold Resistance 10; the same magic that imbues brightsteel dragons with their immunity to cold infuses a brightsteel warforged with resistance against it.
+2 on saves against breath weapons; built to fight dragons, brightsteel warforged are resistant to one of their primary weapons.
DR 2/adamantine; the construction of a brightsteel warforged is tougher, and resilient to blows. If they take the adamantine body feat this DR stacks with that granted by the feat.
Favored Class: Paladin. Infused with draconic spirits in their construction, brightsteel warforged naturally veer towards the blessed teachings of Bahamut, the Platinum Dragon.
LA: +1.

Brightsteel Body (Warforged)
Your body has a larger concentration of materials taken from a brightsteel dragon than most. This gives you sturdier armor as well as resistance to non-magical weapons.
Prerequisites: Brightsteel warforged, 1st level only.
Benefits: : Your armor bonus is increased to +5 and your damage reduction becomes 2/adamantine and magic, increasing by 1 every 5th level. You are also immune to Rusting Grasp and other rust effects. However, your base land speed is reduced to 20 feet, and you are considered to be wearing medium armor. You have a +3 maximum Dexterity bonus to AC, a –3 penalty on all skill checks that armor check penalties apply to (Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Sleight of Hand, Swim, and Tumble), and an arcane spell failure chance of 15%.

Forgewright Dwarves:Moradin forged great dragons of living iron, a gift for Bahamut the Platinum. These dragons, forged with spirits of might like those of true dragons but inhabited also by the urge to create and love of community that forges the dwarves into what they are, took to living closely with the dwarves. Their magical energies, though, could not be fully contained, and on occasion a dwarf is born infused with these powers. His flesh is harder than that of a normal dwarf, and the color of fire hardened steel, the texture as well smooth and metallic. These dwarves become spokesmen for their race, for they are born with a silvered tongue, and have greater strength and fortitude than even their kin. Despite this, their true calling is the forge, and it is the one place they feel completely at home and happy.

All traits are as a dwarf unless otherwise noted

+2 Strength, +4 Constitution, -2 Dexterity
Construct (Living Construct, Dragonforged ( http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9435786&postcount=78)).
Dwarf-blood: Counts as a dwarf for spells, effects, feats, and PrCs that require one to be a dwarf.
+1 to attack and damage against Constructs, and they may score critical hits (and sneak attack) on constructs normally. This replaces a dwarf’s bonus to attack and damage against orcs and goblins. Their own mechanical nature makes forgewright dwarves keenly aware of the weaknesses of constructs.
Draconic Vigor (Su): 1/day + 1/day per 5 character levels, a forgewright dwarf may enter a state where their draconic energies flow through them. This state gives them a +2 to Strength, and Constitution and DR X/magic where X is their character level. In addition when the ability ends they instantly heal 1 hp/character level. This state lasts 3 + Con modifier rounds and is a free action to initiate or end.
+2 natural armor bonus to AC. The metal in their skin makes forgewright dwarves particularly hard to damage.
Favored Class: Artificer.
LA: +1.

Sunscale Humans:
Born of the mixed bloodlines of space faring men and the dragons of wildspace, sunscale humans are known for their integrity and nobility throughout spacer communities. Over generations their blood line blended into some of the great crystal sphere spanning empires until it grew dilute. Now occasionally in spacefaring cultures a human is born whose blood harkens back to time when these empires were still strong, one who has inherited the power of dragons.

Sunscale humans are fair skinned and have golden blonde hair and yellow-orange eyes. Due to their lack of need for breath they often find themselves serving as part of scavenging crews or boarding crews on spelljamming vessels.

All traits are as a normal human unless otherwise noted

Dragonblood subtype; a sunscale human has the dragonblood subtype due to their draconic heritage.
Slow Breather (Ex): A sunscale human only breathes half as much as a regular human. This grants them a +2 to saves versus inhaled poisons, and allows them to hold their breath for twice as long as normal humans.
Breathless (Ex): Starting at 8th level a sunscale human no longer needs to breathe gaining immunity to inhaled poisons, and the ability to go any amount of time without breathing.
Spacer: A sunscale human is born and raised amidst planets, calling no one world home. They gain a +2 bonus on Knowledge (Space)* checks and it is always a class skill for them.
*Or equivalent skill as there should be some Spelljamming knowledge skill and I forget what the semi-official homebrew has since I dropped half of what they did with skills and feats.
No bonus skill points. Unlike other humans a sunscale human does not gain bonus skill points.

Deep Trench Sea Elves:
Beneath the waves, the light-hearted followers of Deep Sashelas fight against the treacherous sahuagin. Deep beneath even the level where these elves build their cities on the sea bed, in dark trenches that mar the ocean floor, dragons dwell. Every few centuries since before the dawn of civilization they have risen up and with cilia-like claws crushed and killed, eating their way through sea elves and sahuagin alike. In these trenches the sahuagin worship them as heralds of their dark god. Greedy for more such worship, these dragons began to take fair sea elven slaves back into the depths from their feeding runs. Over millennia they have used them to create a servitor race fine to look upon, but spiteful and hateful of spirit.

The depths they dwell in have turned the deep trench sea elves skin a ghostly white like the moon at its height, and their draconic blood has cast markings of blue as dark as midnight across their body creating a zebra-like effect. Their eyes are like inky pools of darkness, letting no light escape.

All traits are as Aquatic Elves (MM Page 103) unless otherwise noted:

Dragonblood subtype.
They have no bonus on Spot and Search checks, and no ability to sense secret doors.
They lose their bonus to saves against enchantment spells and effects.
+2 to Intimidate
Darkvision 60-ft in addition to their low-light vision; a combination of the greater depth they live at and their draconic heritage give deep trench sea elves the ability to see in the total darkness of the greatest depths.
Immunity to the effects of high water pressure.
Favored Class: Ranger; this replaces their normal favored class of Fighter.

Grimcrag Dwarves
Born amidst the raging volcanoes, grimcrag dwarves are the progeny of ancient dragons of fire and earth and rogue dwarves. They’ve grown barbaric, now used by their draconic forebears as soldiers in territorial battles against elementals. Their bodies are filled with elemental fire, and their battle skills tempered against beings of pure stone and flame, but they have fallen to savagery and barbarism. They are hostile, boastful, self-centered and cruel lacking those dwarven virtues that mark a true dwarf fortress.

Grimcrag dwarves have deeply tanned brown skin and brightly colored hair of yellow, red, and orange. Their eyes seem to shine in the light, dancing like flames.

All traits are as dwarves unless otherwise noted:

Dragonblood subtype.
Speed: 20-ft, however a grimcrag dwarf may move at full speed when carrying a medium load or wearing medium armor; they lose the dwarven ability to move at full speed with a heavy load or in heavy armor.
No bonus to craft checks; grimcrag dwarves have fallen into barbarism. While they still forge weapons as fine as a human smith, they have lost the skill of their ancestors.
No weapon familiarity; grimcrag dwarves favor great-axes and scythes over traditional dwarven weapons and lack familiarity with those used by dwarves who still cling to the old ways.
+4 Dodge bonus to AC when fighting creatures of the elemental type; this replaces the bonus to AC against creatures of the giant type. Grimcrag dwarves were bred by their draconic masters to fight elementals that often challenge them for their territory, and learn special techniques for fighting them from birth onwards.
No racial bonus to saving throws versus poison.
Fire Resistance 10.
+1 to attack and damage against creatures with the Fire subtype. This replaces their bonus to attack and damage against orcs and goblinoids. Grimcrag dwarves aid their draconic overlords in battle against fire elementals and learn special techniques to do so.
Favored Class: Barbarian.

Shadowsoul Illumian:
When the illumians founded their great city of Elirhondas on the plane of shadows they little knew what beasts they were stirring up.

The great wyrms of the shadow plane did not move to strike the illumians directly, but instead worked subtly. They stole children, they disguised themselves as their foes, and over generations they bred a new servitor race. They tolerate Elirhondas, for now, because it is in a neutral zone, where they dare not act openly lest they bring the wrath of other of their own kind down upon their heads, but little do the illumians realize that should they set act outside those regions they might soon find a far greater danger in the shadows than any they have ever faced.

The shadow illumians that the umbra wyrms have forged from long generations, have spread throughout their domains in the plane of shadow. Given as gifts from one dragon to another, until they have become seen as indispensible aids and loyal servants.

Shadowsoul illumians look like regular illumians, although close inspection will show that their skin is a shade darker, their pupils a hair's breadth wider, and their irises tend more towards darker shades.

Shadowsoul Illumian Racial Traits (these are in addition to those of normal illumians unless otherwise indicated; as I can't reprint the entire illumian race):

+2 Constitutiona and +2 Charisma; the shadow stuff infuses them with greater power and potency.
Dragonblood subtype; a shadowsoul illumian has the blood of dragons flowing through them. They gain the dragonblood subtype.
Darkvision: A shadowsoul illumian can see up to 60-ft in non-magical darkness, and up to 30-ft through magical darkness.
Beshadowed Sigils: A shadowsoul illumian's sigil does not produce light, but is otherwise identical to those of other illumians.
Shadow Sigil (Su): On attaining 3rd level in any class a shadowsoul illumian gains a third power sigil. Unlike the other two this sigil is never visible except under True Seeing and does not combine with the others to make a word. In addition the bonus from each sigil increases by 1 to +3 and is no longer limited by character level but instead by ECL.
Shadow Word (Su): While the third sigil doesn't combine with the first two it combines with the primal shadow within the shadowsoul illumian gaining additional powers even as it is twisted.
"Vigor": A shadowsoul illumian with the "Vigor" sigil as their shadow sigil can replace their Dexterity bonus with their Strength bonus for determining their AC; they are still limited by their armor's Max Dex.
"Life": A shadowsoul illumian with the "Life" sigil as their shadow sigil gains fast healing 2 when at less than half health. This ability is lost while in direct sunlight, or the radius of bright light from a daylight or stronger [light] spell.
"Magic": A shadowsoul illumian with the "Magic" sigil as their shadow sigil gains a bonus spell each day of the highest level they can cast, or a bonus use of any 1 mystery they know each day.
"Mind": A shadowsoul illumian with the "Mind" sigil as their shadow sigil gains bonus power points equal to their character level.
"Grace": A shadowsoul illumian with the "Grace" sigil as their shadow sigil may use their Dexterity to determine weapon damage with finessable weapons instead of Strength, and they gain Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat.
"Soul": A shadowsoul illumian with the "Soul" sigil as their shadow sigil may use their Charisma instead of Dexterity bonus to determine their AC; they are still limited by their armor's Max Dex.
Shadowborn: A shadowsoul illumian automatically succeeds on any saving throw against a spell or effect of the shadow descriptor.
LA: +1; Shadowsoul illumians are stronger than their normal kin gaining +1 LA.

Shadowscale Drow
Born of an ancient alliance between dragons of darkest night and the Spider Queen, the shadowscale drow are a rarity among their kin. Once much more prosperous, they were slaughtered nearly to a woman in an ancient war with their kin. Now only a few bloodlines exist among the drow houses. Even so they are prized for their superior talents with shadowmagic, and how it is easier to coax them with magic than most of their kin.

Shadowscale drow have the same skin tone as their normal kin, but their eyes are pure inky black, and their hair is a deep midnight blue. They tend to be taller but thinner than their kin.

These racial traits are not in addition to, but completely supercede those of drow.

+2 Dexterity, -2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma.
Medium sized
Humanoid with the elf and dragonblood subtypes.
Darkvision out to 120 feet.
Low-Light Vision; shadowscale drow are more at home in the shadows than other drow.
+2 racial bonus to Bluff and Intimidate checks.
+2 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks. An elf who merely passes within 5 feet of a secret or concealed door is entitled to a Search check to notice it as if she were actively looking for it.
Spell resistance equal to 11 + class levels.
Immunity to sleep spells and effects, and a +2 racial saving throw bonus against energy draining effects (including the saving throw to prevent negative levels from becoming level loss) and death effects.
Spell-Like Abilities: Drow can use the following spell-like abilities three times per day (each functions as the mystery of the same name): Mystic Reflections, Black Candle. They can use the following spell-like abilities once per day (each functions as mystery of the same name): Carpet of Shadow, Voice of Shadow. Caster level equals the drow’s class levels. The shadow essence that flows through their veins warps shadowscale drows' natural magic turning it even darker than before.
Weapon Proficiency: A drow is automatically proficient with the hand crossbow, the rapier, and the short sword.
Automatic Languages: Common, Elven, Undercommon. Bonus Languages: Abyssal, Aquan, Draconic, Drow Sign Language, Gnome, Goblin. This trait replaces the high elf’s automatic and bonus languages.
Light Blindness: Abrupt exposure to bright light (such as sunlight or a daylight spell) blinds drow for 1 round. On subsequent rounds, they are dazzled as long as they remain in the affected area.
Favored Class: Shadowcaster.
Level adjustment +2

Dreadborn Orcs
In worlds covered in darkness, the Malison dragons ruled. Some worlds have thrown off the shackles of these dread beings, though many more are still held in their inky grasp. On worlds which these beings have held power they have bred with the lesser races to create elite servants. The evil humanoids are favorites of theres for such purposes, and their blood flows strongest through the bestial orcs.

Standing as lords amongst their kindred, those orcs which through some lucky fluke show signs of their heritage are smarter and healthier than their kin, gifted with arcane powers that the others can barely understand. They are slightly larger than their kin, and their skin rough, almost scaly, and black as pitch. The strongest undergo a metamorphosis which grant them draconic wings which allow them to fly over their lesser kindred.

+4 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma
Humanoid (Orc, Dragonblood)
Medium-size
Speed 30-ft.
2 racial hit dice (d8) giving them +1 BAB, +3 to Reflex, 10 skill ranks (bluff, concentration, intimidate, listen, spellcraft, and spot are class skills), and 1 feat.
Darkvision 60-ft; unlike normal darkvision this functions even in magical darkness.
+2 Natural Armor.
A dreadborn orc with at least 6 Hit Dice grows wings capable of flight (30-ft, average maneuverability)
Arcane Blood: A dreadborn orc casts spells as a 2nd level sorcerer, even if they have no sorcerer levels, or casts spells as a sorcerer 2 levels higher than their actual level.
Dark Speech as a bonus feat when they reach 4th level.
Favored Class: Sorcerer.
LA: +1.

Merismeer
On Mount Celestia, where mortal and angelic bloodlines mix, one can find an interesting variety of planetouched. Descended from planar dragons, the merismeer are a breed of proud warriors, ready always to defend the right and justice against the forces of the lower planes, and evil in more mundane forms.

Merismeer stand six feet tall on average, with bright red eyes, and hair of flawless ivory. Their skin takes on the golden hue of their draconic ancestor’s scales, interlaced with patterns of snowy white.

Merismeer racial traits:
+2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma
Outsider (Native, Dragonblood)
Fire and Electricity Resistance 10.
Continuous Protection from Evil active on themselves (if dispelled it is only suppressed instead for 1d4 rounds). Caster Level = Character Level.
Evil-bane Strike (Su): merismeer add their charisma modifier as a bonus to weapon damage against creatures with the evil subtype, undead, evil aligned outsiders, and any being with an Aura of Evil like an evil cleric, paladin, or incarnate. In addition any natural weapon of a merismeer and any weapon it wields counts as good aligned for the purpose of overcoming DR.
DR 2/evil.
+2 on Diplomacy and Ride checks.
Favored Class: Paladin.
LA: +1.

On dreadborn orcs it might be better to give them racial hit dice of 2 to ensure that the LA cannot be bought off, because its RHD and not LA, and then give +1 LA on top of that. Maybe toss in a little something extra if it leaves a bitter taste.

Since they live on the Prime and the Lower Planes I can see that, though I doubt they'd actually be outsiders even ones with the native subtype. To tell the truth I wanted to make something non-human first with them. Really I can see them having (at least) 3 seperate dragonblooded lineages, orcs, humans, and hobgoblins.

Il’tyrith
Found amid hobgoblins il’tyrith are considered a sign of a dark blessing upon their lineage. Blessed by the blood of hellish dragons, they surpass common hobgoblins in their skill upon the battlefield serving as commanders in their armies. Descended from mercenaries and conscripts in the Blood War, il’tyrith are ambitious, vicious, and willing to go to any length for triumph. Always proper, they twist the codes of honor of the hobgoblin societies around their fingers pressing the already Lawful Evil society into new extremes of depravity in their ascent to power.
Il’tyriths’ eyes are a strange, hellish green, and their flesh a somber blue. They are prone to tattooing their flesh, or a series of ritual scars and piercings.

Il’tyrith racial traits:
+4 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, +2 Charisma
Outsider (Native, Dragonblood)
Medium size
Speed 30-ft
Fire Resistance 10.
Immunity to Fear
+3 natural armor.
Aura of Prowess (Su): Allies within 60-ft gain a +1 morale bonus to attack rolls, melee damage rolls, saving throws, and their Spell Resistance. This does not apply to il’tyrith producing the aura.
Draconic Aura: An il’tyrith produces a draconic aura granting a bonus equal to 1/3rd its character level (minimum +1) chosen, at 1st level, from those available to a dragon totem shaman.
Frightful Blow (Ex): Any creature with HD equal to or less than an il’tyrith’s character level that they strike in melee must make a Will save (DC 10 +1/2 the il’tyrith’s character level + the il’tyrith’s Charisma) or be shaken for 3d6 rounds. On a successful save they are immune to that il’tyrith’s frightful blow for 1 hour.
+4 racial bonus to Diplomacy and Intimidate checks.
Favored Class: Paladin of Tyranny.
LA: +2.

Skalviri
Descended from warriors of an ancient war against beings from beyond reality, the skalviri are throwbacks to a fabled race of dragons that sired them with human companion. These dragons, whose songs are said to have inspired the first bards if their sons and daughters were not the first bards themselves, vanished long ago, the battle over.

The skalviri have inherited their ancestor’s courage, and a fraction of that song that inhabits their soul, gaining power and fury from it. In battle a skalviri fights like a wild beast, and in friendship they show adamantine loyalty.

Skalviri have red-gold hair, and even their skin hints of red-gold. Their eyes are bright and clear, coming in blues and greens like those of the humans that dominate their bloodline.

Skalviri Racial Traits:

+2 Strength, +2 Constitution, +2 Charisma
Humanoid (Human, Dragonblood)
Medium-sized
Speed 30-ft.
Bonus feat; a skalviri gains one bonus feat of their choice.
Master Performer: Perform is always a class skill for a skalviri and they gain 1 bonus rank in it each level, 4 at 1st level. In addition they are always able to take 10 on Perform checks even when threatened.
Inspire Courage: 1/day a skalviri can inspire courage as a bard of their character level. This does not count as the bardic music ability, although it does qualify for prerequisites that require Inspire Courage and not bardic music. If they have Inspire Courage from another source (bard levels for example) the uses and effectiveness are tracked separately.
Sonic Resistance 10.
Immunity to fear.
Roar (Ex): 1/day a skalviri can unleash a powerful draconic roar. This functions as a demoralize attempt on all enemies within 30-ft of the skalviri except that the enemies are shaken for Charisma bonus rounds (minimum 1 round). If the skalviri has the Imperious Command feat then targets cower for 1 round and are then shaken for Charisma bonus rounds (minimum 1 round) instead.
Favored Class: Bard.

Any specific dragons? Also any specific (PC) races? I'm tempted to do a clockwork dragon planetouched race. Till I remember that just as many clockwork dragons are native to the Prime as Mechanus... I want to mix them with modrons but that just doesn't make sense in the orderly world of modrons.

I seem to have left that out on the two descended from umbra dragons, sorry about that.

Perhaps Il’tyrith should have the goblinoid subtype.

Goblinoid is a humanoid-only subtype. Similar to how Aasimar and Tieflings don't have the Human subtype.

LOTRfan answered perfectly. I started to give it the goblinoid subtype then realized that it didn't belong. That said I'd say it would be a perfectly acceptable house rule to give it to them, just like I do for tieflings and aasimar.

How about an Ironrune Dragonborn since both are born to fight against the forces of Tiamat.

Also I'm thinking perhaps a Clockwork Gnome, at some point the naturally curious Gnomes befriended a Clockwork Dragon and were trying to figure out how they work without actually taking it apart, eventually with long hours of close proximity, the magic that binds the Clockwork Dragons affected the clan of Gnomes.

Perhaps, since they spend so much time with Dwarves anyway, a clan of Loadstone Dwarves?

And lastly, mainly since they're the most likely to spend any amount of time near a dragon's hoard and not be attacked on sight, Coinskin Kobolds.

Oddly enough, those already exist. The Szarkai are a subrace of mutated Drow that look similar enough as High Elves to pass as them.

Furbrothers
You’ve heard of the gorgonid dragons ( http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9504857&postcount=323) before I assume. Well when searching for Soul Dragons I found an interesting valley. It was inhabited by a race of reptilian humanoids, reminiscent of the thunder-lizards found on some prime material worlds (I theorize these giant reptiles are the results of draconic tempering with bloodlines). Amongst them were those which were descended from a tribe of legendary furred dragons which had moved through the area 2000 years before. These descendants were marked by their forefathers, lacking scales like their brethren but instead having golden-brown fur and sharp, dagger-like canines. Between these signs of inheritance, and their increased weakness to cold compared to their kin, who already showed weaknesses to cold, and their total immunity to fire I theorize that they are descended from gorgonid dragons. Faster, and more agile than their kin, they lack the armored plating that others have, making up for it with their powerful fangs they use for close combat biting.

--Zasper from the world of Trogil.

Furbrothers are somewhat thinner or more wiry than other finheads. The largest changes are their saber-teeth, and golden-brown fur which replaces their scales entirely.

Furhead Racial Traits:
+4 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom: Furbrothers have good reflexes and exceptional insight.
Medium: As Medium creatures, furbrothers have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Speed: Furbrother base speed is 50 feet.
Humanoid with the Reptilian, Dragonblood, and Fire subtypes.
Base Hit Dice: A furbrother has 2d8 Hit Dice in addition to Hit Dice from its character levels. These racial Hit Dice give it a starting base attack bonus of +1 and base saving throw bonuses of Fort +0, Ref +3, and Will +0.
Racial Skills: A furbrother gets 10 skill points for its racial Hit Dice. The class skills for these skill points are Balance, Craft (any), and Jump.
Feats: A furbrother may choose one feat for its racial HD. (Most choose Multiattack.)
Natural Armor Bonus: A furbrother has a +2 natural armor bonus.
Natural Attacks: A furbrother can make two claw attacks a bite attack, and one tail attack. Each claw attack deals 1d4 points of damage plus Strength modifier, the bite attack deals 1d8 points of damage plus Strength penalty or one-half of Strength bonus, and the tail attack deals 1d3 points of damage plus Strength penalty or one-half Strength bonus.
Special Qualities: A furbrother has cold torpor, protection from sonic attacks, scent, and vulnerability to gas attacks, as described in the Combat section of Saurials (Serpent Kingdoms web enhancement).
Fire Immunity: A furbrother is immune to fire damage.
Cold Vulnerability: A furbrother takes 150% damage from cold.
Automatic Languages: Draconic. Bonus Languages: Common, Elven, Sylvan, and Celestial.
Favored Class: Barbarian.
Level Adjustment: +2

Aeonblood Elves
In the misty dawn of time, a dragon of time sired a child upon an elf maid. This child became a king of legends, known as the Aeon King by the elves. In the tens of millennia that have since passed, his bloodline ruled for generations for many years, eventually growing cruel and corrupt only to be struck down by a traveller. His bloodline still lived on in bastards born to the rulers, and nobles, fighting along both sides of the Kinslayer War. Among the high elves occasionally one is born that has inherited a small sliver of the Aeon King’s powers, just enough to make them different than their kin.

Aeonblood elves have pure silver eyes and tend to be paler than their kin, with lighter colored hair.

Yes I went with super dilute over more power.
These traits are in addition to those of normal elves unless stated otherwise.
Dragonblood subtype; aeonblood elves have the dragonblood subtype in addition to the elf subtype.
No bonus to Search or free check to find secret doors.
Immune to slow effects, +2 on saves against sleep, paralysis, hold, and time based effects. This replaces a normal elf’s immunity to sleep, and bonus to Will saves against enchantments.
Swift Haste 1/day + 1/day per 3 character levels.

Gehrellim
In those scattered bergs that manage to exist on Gehenna occasionally a child is born, fiendish blood tainting their heritage. I know what you’re thinking, I’m a barmie for thinking there’s anything unusual about a tiefling on the lower planes, but these planetouched are a tad different. Instead of the blood of baatezu or other fiends called up from the planes themselves, they’re descended from those hellish dragons the place has to offer. These gehrellim take after their draconic ancestors, standing bigger and taller than their human kin. Their skin black and red, with the texture of rough stone, not volcanic obsidian but those porous red rocks you can find on some volcanoes. Their eyes are a bright yellow, and these cutters are bad people. They’re cold, cruel, and vicious.
+2 Strength, +2 Constitution. Gehrellim inherit some of their draconic ancestor’s physical power and toughness.
Outsider (Native, Dragonblood).
Medium Size
Speed 30-ft.
Fire and Sonic Resistance 10.
+2 to Climb and Intimidate checks.
Shatter 1/day, CL = character level.
Favored Class: Fighter
LA: +1.

Half-Time Dragon:
The following are the changes from the standard half-dragon template.

Size: A half-time dragon's size increases by 1 step (to a maximum of colossal) with all normal modifications to its ability scores and natural armor.

Speed: All half-time dragons have wings that grant them a fly speed with average maneuverability at three times their land speed.

Special Attacks:
Breath Weapon: 60-ft Cone of Time Expulsion which throws creatures forward in time (making them disappear unable to act or affected in any way until time catches up with them) 2d6 rounds a successful Will save (DC 10 +1/2 hit dice + Constitution modifier) negates. Once a half-time dragon has used this ability it must wait 1d4 rounds before using it again.

Special Qualities:
Time Control (Su): A half-time dragon has an ability to manipulate time similar to the youngest of its parents. It can haste itself for 5 rounds a day as a free action. They are also immune to slow effects and the Time Hop psionic power.

Abilities: +6 Strength, +2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, +4 Intelligence, +4 Charisma. These are in addition to the modifications for increasing in size.

Feat: A half-time dragon gains the epic feat Spell Stowaway (Time Hop) as a bonus feat.

CR: +3.

LA: +4 (should I up it to +5, size increase with ability score mods is big, but standard half-dragon is a little over-rated at +3).

Yay. I'm always a little unsure about LA since I know WotC made it unplayable even by low/no opt standards most of the time. And these get something like (since different sizes get different things) a net of +14 Str, +6 Con, +6 natural armor, +4 Int, +4 Cha, the ability to cast people out of time every 1d4 rounds, flight, reach, and an epic feat which is a lot of stuff.

Also working on Ironrune Dragonborn I realized I'd need to detail the Sleeper mentioned in Brightsteel and Ironrune fluff first. Since it's a god and mostly fluff it should probably be in world-building, right?

can i see a half-umbra dragon template please

Umbra: Half-umbra dragons inherit some of their draconic forebear's dark power, albeit simply a small portion. They gain a +8 Str, +4 Con, +4 Int, +4 Wis, and +6 Cha instead of the normal half-dragon ability modifiers. In addition they gain darkvision 120-ft and the ability to see in magical darkness as if it were mundane darkness. All half-umbra dragons also gain their charisma modifier as a deflection bonus to AC, but do not gain a bonus to natural armor like most dragons. Their breath weapon deals 3 negative levels, with a Fort save (Con based) for half; half-umbra dragons are immune to energy draining effects. They have a +4 LA.

Already on the other thread, but as it was just a little part of a big half-dragon post it's easy to miss. Actually how hard it is to find the one you're looking for on that is why I made this thread.

Ironsoul Dragonborn
Sometimes a humanoid comes to worship the Sleeper ( http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10643799#post10643799). Entering into a sacred rite, bestowed by his father Bahamut they become a new type of dragonborn. These dragonborn gain the toughness of steel, instead of the breath, wings, or eyes of dragons.

Ironsoul Dragonborn tend to have scales of an iron-grey color. Strange runic markings cover their flesh, shifting as they grow in power.
Instead of gaining one of the Draconic Aspects common to other dragonborn an Ironsoul Dragonborn gains the Runic Hide Aspect.
Runic Hide (Ex):
At 1st level you gain +1 natural armor bonus to your AC, as well as immunity to fatigue, exhaustion, poison, nausea, and disease.
At 6th level you gain Light Fortification
At 9th level you gain DR 5/magic; this is supernatural.
At 12th level you gain Moderate Fortification.
At 15th level you gain DR 5/magic and adamantine; the magic portion is supernatural. This supersedes your previous DR 5/magic.

Tal’quiri the Desert Walkers
Born amidst the sands of a great desert, the tal’quiri are the result of ancient unions between necrocarnum dragons and human nomads. They appear as humans with sun-darkened skin, and eyes of a bright grey-blue.
Racial Traits (in addition to those of a normal human):
Dragonblood subtype
A tal’quiri always has a single soulmeld with necrocarnum in its name shaped. This soulmeld does not remain shaped for a mere 24 hours, although it does automatically reshape after 8 hours of rest if it was somehow unshaped. A tal’quiri can only change which necrocarnum soulmeld he has shaped whenever he gains a character level. If they choose Necrocarnum Weapon they may reassign which weapon it applies to each day after 8 hours of rest. This does not occupy a meldshape slot for meldshaping classes, although counts against their Con based maximum. This replaces a human’s bonus feat.
Upon reaching 5th level a tal’quiri develops the ability to bind his chosen racial soulmeld to the crown chakra. As he continues to accrue character levels the chakras available to him increase as shown on the table below (all benefits are cumulative and only apply to their racially selected soulmeld).
{table]Character Level|Chakras unlocked
5th-8th|Crown
9th-12th|Feet and Hands
13th-16th|Arm, brow, shoulders
17th-20th|Throat, waist

Dandakari:

Descended from the forest dwelling mu lung and the monkey-like vanara, the dandakari are gifted with skill in stealth outpacing even their kin, and an agility unmatched by normal vanara. Dandakari are rare, as the blood of mu lung have long been diluted in their species, but when they are born they are treasured for their nearness to the spirit world. Dandakari look normal until puberty where they develop green patches of fur on their stomach and the backs of their heads. Their eyes are a piercing golden-yellow.

All abilities are in addition to those of normal vanara unless noted otherwise below.

+2 to Dexterity and Wisdom.
Dragonblood and Spirit subtypes (I couldn't find if Vanara had the latter or not)
+4 bonus to Hide and Move Silently checks; this supersedes (does not stack with) the +2 bonus that normal vanara receive.
Spirit Sight: A dandakari sees ethereal creatures (including) spirits as easily as they would material creatures, and are able to distinguish between the two. If they would gain this ability due to a class feature or other permanent means (feat) it increases to allow them to see invisible creatures as well as the See Invisibility spell.
DR 2/metal (non-metal weapons such as clubs and natural weapons deal 2 less damage to a dandakari).
Invisibility 1/day +1/day per 4 levels; once they reach 12th level they may choose to use this ability as Greater Invisibility instead.
LA +1.

Blackblood Draegloth:

Only rarely created, as Lolth has no deep love of the shadowscale drow and most are a freak mistake where some long buried umbra dragon heritage manifests itself in a draegloth, blackblood draegloth are to draegloths what shadowscale drow are to drow. They are not hugely more powerful, but they do have certain advantages and differences compared to their more normal counterparts. Their flesh is pure, inky black, and their eyes a somber amethyst glow. Their name comes from their blood which is black as night; blackblood draegloth blood can be used as a power component when scribing a scroll of darkness if those optional rules are used.

The following abilities are changed from those of normal draegloths:

In addition to the normal immunities and resistances of a draegloth a blackblood draegloth is immune to energy drain and other effects that inflict negative levels (but not those from wielding a holy/unholy weapon of the opposite alignment or those of similar nature).
Blackblood draegloths have shadowscale drow traits instead of drow traits (as a note they list drow traits in the statblock but never define what they get at least not in the copy I have :smallfurious: WotC!)
Instead of the normal spell-like abilities of a draegloth a blackblood draegloth can use the following mysteries as spell-like abilities 1/day as a 6th level shadowcaster: Sight Obscured, Shadow Skin, Voice of Shadow, and Shadow Storm. They may also use Black Candle as a spell-like ability 4 times per day.
Blackblood draegloth gain the Dragonblood subtype.
The darkvision of blackblood draegloths functions even in magical darkness.

This might be a little stronger than a normal draegloth in combat (chain lightning instead of unholy blight, shadow skin instead of desecrate, and command instead of faerie fire) but I think it's probably still CR 5 (offensively it's best option is 6d6 damage to one target and 3d6 to 6 others, Reflex save halves).

Celerixes (singular celerix):

Generations ago the storms raged in the sky and the great beasts ran through the fields. When they did many were born who were different than others, born with scales and claws, and other signs of the great beasts. Generations have passed, and they have intermingled with the tribes of the plains in which they were born, and now these descendants of the great beasts do not make appearance, but instead all humans within are no longer quite that.

Celerixes are paler skinned than normal humans, with bright red hair.

Celerixes are descended from Racer Dragons and have the following racial traits in addition to those of normal humans unless noted otherwise:

Dragonblood subtype.
40-ft base land speed.
+10-ft to their base land speed at 4th level, +10-ft for every 4 levels beyond that.
+2 racial bonus on Constitution checks to continue running.
No bonus skill points.

Too strong? Too weak? Is dragonblood subtype and +10 to +60 to your land speed worth your bonus skill points? I know silverbrow can be worth it for bards and they just get feather fall and some minor bonuses with disguise.

Tacitus

If its the base speed actually increasing then it can be potentially really good. A Celerix Monk would be silly fast (unless its a bonus as Enhancement, then the monk cries harder), but speed isn't necessarily everything (god, think of that jump check). So its good at jumping (what works out to +1/HD on jump checks, more or less) and has decent combat mobility until people start moving around the battlefield with flight and teleports.

With homebrew, I could break the speed thing in half. In core? Whoo, made of goes fast, who cares. Be nice with Warlock though. Flight equal to base land speed and all.

So.... yeah, I'd take Made Of Goes Fast over Normal Human at the drop of a hat. Does that mean its balanced or not? Well, thats not my strong suit. Some would say that if you'd be willing to take option B over option A every time, then A=/=B. Do I think the speed alone justifies a Level Adjustment or RHD? Heck no. *shrug*

Serendipity Spirit Folk
Born of the union of a shen lung and a mortal, serendipity spirit folk get their names due to a belief that they are great bearers of luck. Serendipity spirit folk tend to be loyal and courteous, though they will not serve someone they see as beneath them.

Serendipity spirit folk look like other spirit folk without any obvert signs of their draconic descent.

Before finishing I must note that Chien Lung are already listed as ancestors of river spirit folk (and all spirit folk could probably be given the dragonblood subtype at the player's option without becoming too powerful).

In addition to the traits common to all spirit folk serendipity spirit folk have the following racial abilities:

Dragonblood subtype.
Serendipity spirit folk gain a +1 luck bonus on all saves; in addition they may reroll one saving throw each day after they know whether they failed or succeeded.
Serendipity spirit folk may lay a lucky ward on another creature 1/day; this lucky ward grants the targetted creature a luck bonus to AC equal to the spirit folk's character level against the next attack that would overcome their normal (in this case unmodified by this effect) AC.
1/day before making an ability check, skill check, saving throw, attack roll, caster level check, initiative check, or most any d20 roll (DM's discretion is alloweD) a serendipity spirit folk may grant themselves a +1d6 +1/2 character levels luck bonus to the check.

This does not necessarily mean that all River Spirit Folk or indeed all Spirit Folk a descended from Lung Dragons. Their description says they are the children of many different spirits. And also since Shen Lung spend most of their time in the comany of Chiang Lung it actually makes sense that they would also produce Dragon-blooded off-springs.

Well umbra dragons don't exactly lend themselves to dragonborn or warforged. For the former I'd probably just go a dragonborn with the mind path and refluffed a bit (just like for all evil dragonborn) for the latter... maybe a new body feat.

Even so for an umbra dragonborn a few [draconic] feats might help.

Draconic Heritage (Umbra) [Draconic]
You are descended from an umbra dragon.
Prerequisites: Sorcerer level 1st.
See Draconic Heritage (Dragon Magic, Races of Dragon, or Complete Arcane).
The bonus class skill is Hide and the bonus to saves apply against spells with the [Death] descriptor.

Umbra Dragon Eyes [Draconic]
You gain visual accuity from your dark heritors allowing you to see in even magical darkness.
Prerequisites: Draconic Heritage (Umbra) and Draconic Senses or Dragonborn of Shadow (Mind).
Your darkvision, regardless of source, functions in magical darkness. In addition the range of your darkvision increases by 10-ft for each Draconic Feat you have.
If you have 5 or more [Draconic] feats you gain a +2 on all saves versus illusions with visual effects.
If you have 8 or more [Draconic] feats you gain True Seeing out to 30-ft.

Umbral Body [Warforged]
Your body is imbued with the shifting and changing essence of shadow, giving you strong but weightless armor.
Prerequesites: Warforged, evil alignment, 1st level only.
Benefits: You gain the dragonblood subtype, in addition your composite plating now grants a +4 armor bonus to AC, has a 10% arcane spell failure and -1 ACP, with a max Dex of +4; your speed is unaffected. This armor bonus applies against touch attacks as well as normal attacks.

Draconic Heritage (Victory) [Draconic]
Your draconic energy comes from the semi-legendary victory dragons.
Prerequisites: Bard Lv 1st (as victory dragons don't have sorcerous powers).
Benefits: As per a normal Draconic Heritage feat but you count as having 1 level in Sorcerer for the purposes of taking other Draconic feats. The additional bard class skill is Intimidate, and the save bonus applies to spells with the [Sonic] descriptor.

Draconic Lineage (Victory) [Draconic]
You have obtained greater bardic powers from your draconic heritage.
Prerequisites: 4 Draconic Feats.
Benefits: Add Heroism, Fear, and Shout to your bard spells known at their regular levels.

In addition if you inspire courage after all other boosts to the ability have been applied you may select one dragonblooded creature (other than yourself) to have its bonus increased by 1.

Victorious Roar [Draconic]
When you fell an enemy your inspirational music grows stronger.
Prerequisites: Victory Dragon Heritage, at least 1 other Draconic feat.
Benefits: If you are using the Inspire Courage bardic music ability (or the Inspire Toughness, war chanter ability) and fell an opponent (reduce to less than 0 hp) the bonuses granted by that Inspire Courage increases by +1 per 2 Draconic feats you have (or the temporary hit points of your allies increase by 2 per draconic feat you have), you must be currently performing the song for this effect to apply and it does not stack with itself.

In addition you can Inspire Greatness in one additional creature per 3 Draconic feats you have.

Half-Prana Dragon

Half-prana dragons inherit an aptitude for the manipulation of the spiritual energy known as incarnum, as well as a surprisingly small portion of their draconic ancestor’s strength. They gain +8 Str, +4 Con, +2 Int, +2 Wis, and +2 Cha instead of the normal half-dragon ability modifiers. In addition they gain 3 bonus essentia and may invest essentia into one physical ability score (chosen upon creation) to grant it an untyped +2 per point of essentia invested within. They may also invest essentia into their natural armor gaining +1 to their natural armor per point of essentia so invested. Finally all half-prana dragons have access to one soulmeld from the incarnate or soulborn list and the ability to bind it to the crown, feet, or hands; once they reach 5th level they may bind it to the arms, brow, or shoulders chakras; they never gain the ability to bind their natural soulmeld to the waist, throat, heart, or soul chakra unless given to them by a feat or class feature. Their breath weapon deals 6d8 untyped damage, with a Fort save (Con based) for half; half-prana dragons are immune to ability damage. They have a +4 LA.

Half-Diamond Dragon

Descended from the most powerful of gem dragons, half-diamond dragons have enhanced powers. They gain +8 Str, +4 Con, +6 Int, and +2 Cha instead of the normal half-dragon ability modifiers. In addition they gain a burrow and swim speed equal to one-half their base land speed. Finally all half-diamond dragons may use the following psi-like abilities, 1/day each, ML = Character level +3: Expansion,Hustle, and any 1st level psionic power of choice. Their breath weapon is a cone of mental pressure, the damage is untyped but mind-affecting and a successful Will save halves the damage. They do not gain an immunity but instead gain a +4 bonus to all Will saves. They have a +4 LA.

Half-Sublime Dragon

Born from dragons of war, half-sublime dragons are among the most physically strong half-dragons. They gain +10 Str, +6 Con, +2 Int, and +2 Cha instead of the normal half-dragon ability modifiers. In addition they gain +6 natural armor instead of the standard but +4. They do not gain a breath weapon, but their bite ignores DR and regeneration. They do not gain any immunities but gain a +4 on saves against Transmutation spells and effects, and a +2 on saves against any other spell (or psionic power) which deals damage (including ability damage). They have a +4 LA, but their LA counts as non-initiating class levels for the purpose of determining IL.

Drake-stone Elemental

As the Sleeper's deific energy imbued the very iron around him with deific energy, so to does it affect elementals of earth that lair on the Prime or in reaches of the Elemental Plane of Earth which connect too closely to his domain. These earth elementals gain draconic qualities, the ability to use breath weapons, and even greater hardness as their earthen bodies are strengthened by the primal power of dragons.

Drake-stone Elemental Template:

This template may be applied only to earth elementals, and earth monoliths.

Type and Subtype: They gain the Dragonblood, Law, and Good subtypes.

Armor Class: A drake-stone earth elemental's natural armor bonus is increased by +2.

Special Attacks: A drake-stone earth elemental gains a breath weapon dealing 1d10 cold damage per 2 HD in a cone with an area determined by the following table. Once they have used their breath weapon they cannot use it again for 1d4 rounds.

{table]Size|Cone
Fine|0-ft
Diminutive|10-ft
Tiny|20-ft
Small|30-ft
Medium|40-ft
Large|60-ft
Huge|80-ft
Gargantuan|100-ft
Colossal|120-ft[/table]

Special Qualities: A drake-stone elemental gains DR /cold iron 5 greater than any DR /- it has, or DR 5/cold iron if it does not have impenetrable DR already. In addition they gain cold resistance 30.

Abilities: Strength +4, Constitution +4.

Alignment: Always Lawful Good.

Challenge Rating: +1.

LA: I don't think earth elementals have an LA in the first place... I'd peg it at +2?

Lepidodendron Sharptooth:
A sharptooth saurial with a trace of blood from a half-fabled lepidodendron dragon. Lepidodendron sharpteeth have the ability to move through woods like land, to breathe water, and an affinity for nature. Unfortunately their tails are shorter limiting their combat potential.

The following racial traits are in addition to those of a normal sharptooth saurial (by LOTRfan see here: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10150303&postcount=24)
Dragonblood Subtype (in addition to the reptilian subtype from their base race)
Base Speed 30 ft., swim 15-ft
Woodland Stride (Ex): As druid ability of the same name.
Water-breathing
Electricity Resistance 10; this replaces a normal sharptooth’s Protection from Sonic Attacks.
Electric Fangs (Su): Con modifier times per day (minimum 1/day) a lepidodendron sharptooth may, as a free action made as part of a bite attack, charge their teeth with electricity dealing additional damage equal to their character level.
Tail Attack (1d4 Damage); unlike a normal sharptooth they do not have reach with their tails.
Favored Class: Ranger
Level Adjustment: +2

Thrasher Curvedclaws:
Descended from a rare union between a saurian dragon and a curvedclaw sarial, thrasher curvedclaws are have larger teeth and claws, and a bony club-ending to their tails. The draconic blood pulsing through their veins makes them stronger, and more fericious than their kin, even as it taints their scales a dull brown and fills them with arrogance and pride.

The following racial traits are in addition to those of a normal curveclaw saurial (by LOTRfan see here: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10150303&postcount=24)
+4 Str, +2 Dex, +2 Wis.
Dragonblood subtype.
Immunity to Petrification
+6 natural armor
Natural Weapons: 2 claws (primary) dealing 1d6 each, 1 tail dealing 1d4, and 1 bite dealing 1d8 damage. This replaces the normal natural weapons of a curvedclaw.
Acid Resistance 5.
Bypass DR: A target’s DR and hardness are considered to be 5 less for the purposes of a thrasher curvedclaw’s natural weapons (but not any manufactured weapons they may wield).
Favored Class: Warblade.
LA: +3 instead of +2.

Maybe this could be linked to dragons. A Shadow Magic Elan might come from something like a special Umbra Dragon process of creating an Elan that imbues the would-be Elans with the shadowy essence of the Umbra Dragon instead of psionic energy.

The difficulty is going to be converting the feel of elans to shadow magic. As the PP system let you use your racial abilities by expending class features which becomes a little more unwieldy with mysteries (even Vancian would be easier), but I haven't hit the books yet (I've been busy with some dragons) so I might have something later today.

I'll have to check the original thread's half-dragon dump post (it's badly organized and kind of painful to find things on... which is why I made this thread). If there isn't one there I'll have to make one.

As for the other I don't mind at all, though I'd make sure not to let the PCs pick their skill points (+108 on all Knowledge skills at level 15).

Al'shalan Ombari:

The Forsaken Ones, as they are called by their fellow shadar-kai, al'shalan ombari are shadar-kai descended from the dragons of the plane of shadow. Once they were a respected group, but since the shadow fey brought down a curse upon their own heads those most connected with the plane of shadow were most blamed. As such the al'shalan ombari have become a race of outcasts, dismissed by their kin as dark abominations even as the curse pulls more tightly upon them.

The abilities listed below are in addition to those of a normal shadar-kai unless marked otherwise.

Dragonblood subtype
No racial sneak attack
Deeper Darkvision: An al'shalan ombari has darkvision out to 60-ft which functions even in magical darkness.
Shadow Bolts (Su): As part of an attack action an al'shalan ombari may fire a bolt of darkness, as a ranged touch attack, dealing 1d6 damage with a range up to 60-ft. This damage increases by 1d6 per 6 character levels.
Dire Curse: The Will save for the al'shalan ombari's curse is increased by 2.

Here's a stab at a Shadow-Magic Elan involving Umbra Dragons, although I had to give it a new name:

Shadowscale Scions(or Elans, if you like)
Although the Umbra Dragons are amongst the mightiest shadowcasters, they all still are only one being, that can only be at one place at a time. Hence, the need for minions with similar powers. Umbra Dragons puzzled over this matter until a psionic Umbra Dragon discovered the process that results in Elans. This Umbra Dragon twisted this process for its own uses, replacing the crystals used in the process with rocks from the Plane of Shadow, and some of its own scales. The process resulted in the first Shadowscale Scion(or Shadowscale Elan, if you like, although it's lost the psionic touch). Since then, the process has spread amongst Umbra Dragons, who use it to gain new servants more suited to their needs. sometimes whether the new servant likes it or not. Shadowscale Scions often look like a normal human, except that its hair is pitch black, its skin is pale except for a few marking suggestive of black scales, and its eyes are usually gray or black.

Shadowscale Scion Traits
-Abomination(Dragonblood): Shadowscale Scions are nothing short of a perversion of an already unnatural process, which imbues it with some of the essence of an Umbra Dragon
- -2 Cha: An aura of shadow magic permeates the air around Shadowscale Scions, making people not inclined to like them, or at least allow them to be persuaded by such a being
-Shadowscale Magic: Shadowscale Scions know how to make use of at least elementary shadow magic. Shadowscale Scions may select one 1st level apprentice mystery. His shadowcaster level equals his or her HD, and may be cast twice a day. Also, he may select one fundamental, useable once per day, gaining an additional daily use for every three HD the Shadowscale Scion has.
-Shadowscale Sustenance: By expending one use of an apprentice-level mystery(fundamentals withstanding), Shadowscale Scion does not need to eat or drink for 24 hours, feeding off of the shadow magic instead.
-Shadowscale Armor:As an immediate action, an elan can reduce the damage he is about to take by 2 points by expending one use of an apprentice-level mystery(fundamentals withstanding). He may expend multiple uses of a mystery this way.
- Shadowscale Fortitude: As an immediate action, an elan can expend one use of an apprentice-level mystery(fundamentals withstanding) to gain a +4 racial bonus on saving throws until the beginning of his next turn.
-For the abilities above, a Shadowscale Scion with access to higher-level mysteries may treat Initiate level mysteries as three Apprentice level mysteries, and Master-level Mysteries as three Initiate-level mysteries
-LA: +0

Hope this is good enough.

Noxsis

considering the amount of mysterys a shadowcaster can use per day compared to the number of powerpoints a psion gets the cost seems a bit step for such a small boost

This allows the higher-level mysteries to count as more than one useage. I'm considering changing it to basing it on level of mystery useage sacrificed, but I'm not entirely sure how that would work out. Also, just to note, without a shadow-casting class, Shadowscale Scions are roughly on the same level as an Elan without a psionic class.

Half-Malison Dragon

Half-Malison Dragons are rare enough to be unheard of, until their dark father (very rarely do female malison dragons expend themselves in breeding large numbers of troops) raise them up as a loyal elite army. They have +12 Str, +2 Dex, +6 Con, +4 Int, +4 Wis, +6 Cha, and a +6 natural armor bonus. They have bite and claw attacks as normal for a half-dragon and wings regardless of size category granting them a fly speed equal to twice their base land speed with average maneuverability. Their half-dragon breath weapon is a cone of evil energy which deals profane damage and can be used once every 1d4 rounds. They have acid and fire immunity, as well as immunity to all effects that Death Ward protects against. Lastly they gain DR 5/epic, and frightful presence with a range of 30-ft (creatures with = or less HD only, 5 or less HD panicked, 6 or more shaken, DC 10 +1/2 hit dice + Cha, duration 4d6 rounds, successful save grants 24 hour immunity). A half-malison dragon has +5 LA.

I actually toned it down from half-mithril and I'm still a little worried it gets too much. So any advice on if the LA is well placed is appreciated.

Half-Maleficence Dragon

Since I referenced them in one of my Draconic Paragons I figured I should stat them out here.

Half-Maleficence dragons have the normal effects of the half-dragon template. They gain immunity to [death] effects and level drain (including enervation), but do not gain the full benefits of Death Ward. Their breath weapon is a line dealing 6d6 untyped damage and inflicting 1 point of depravity (taint, see page 62 of Heroes of Horrors); a successful Will save (Con based) halves this damage and negates the taint.

Diamond Soul Elan

Created when a human with the latent blood of diamond dragons is transformed into an elan. These creatures look the same, almost, but have greatly different powers. They look like any other elan, or human for that matter, except that their irises are the color of a white diamond, a sign of their activated draconic heritage.

The following racial traits replace those of normal elans:

-2 Constitution. Diamond soul elans have the passionate spirit of a dragon, but their bodies cannot fully withstand the draconic blood that has activated within them.
Aberration (Dragonblood, Psionic)
Medium-sized.
Base speed 30-ft.
Darkvision 60-ft; like most aberrations (and unlike normal elans) diamond soul elans have darkvision.
Naturally Psionic: A diamond soul elan is naturally psionic gaining 2 bonus psionic power points.
Empower (Su): By spending one or more psionic power points as an immediate action a diamond soul elan can gain a bonus equal to the number of power points spent on their next Charisma check, or Charisma based skill check, made within 1 round. A diamond soul elan cannot spend more than 1/2 their character level (rounded up) in power points in this way.
Spellshift (Su): By spending 1 or more power points as an immediate action a diamond soul elan can gain Spell Resistance equal to 10 + 3 per power point spent. A diamond soul elan cannot spend more than 1/2 their character level (rounded up) in power points in this way.
Control (Su): By spending 1 power point as an immediate action a diamond soul elan can postpone the effects of all poison by 1 minute (taking the primary damage from any and all poisons recieved during this effect at the end of this minute, and the secondary damage 1 minute later). As a secondary effect while this ability is active the diamond soul elan does not need to breathe.
+2 on Concentration and Autohypnosis checks.
Automatic Languages: Common; Bonus Languages: Ever.
Favored Class: Ardent.
Level Adjustment: +0.

Aging:
Middle Age: 100 years.
Old Age: 200 years.
Venerable: 500 years.
Maximum Age: +5d%.

The draconic blood coursing through their bodies reduces their lifespans to half that of their normal kin, but even so it is longer than that of elves.

Are they stronger than, or on par with, normal elans? The skill boost is in part to make up for their significantly more damaging ability score penalty.

Dragonborn of Sardior

Occassionally a dragonborn is dedicated not to Bahamut, but to the lesser known deity Sardior lord of neutral dragons. These dragonborns take on a ruby-hue, to match their allegiance to the Ruby Dragon.

They function identically to normal dragonborn but have the "Gem" aspect instead of any of the three normally associated with dragonborns.

Garh!!! WotC already used mind, when Senses would be better :smallmad:

The Gem aspect grants the following abilites:

1 psionic power point at 1st level, +1/3 character levels.
+2 racial bonus on Knowledge checks beginning at 1st level.
At 6th level may regain psionic focus as a move action in any round following making a successful Will save.
At 9th level a +2 racial bonus on Concentration checks.
At 12th level the ability to regain psionic focus as an immediate action whenever they make a successful Will save.
At 15th the ability to use any one 3rd level or lower power from one of the psion, psychic warrior, any psion discipline, or any ardent mantle's list of psionic powers. You may use this ability as a psi-like ability 3 times per day, with an ML = to your character level.

Worried the last ability might be a wee bit too strong, but 1 3rd level power didn't feel like too much at 15th level and the other ability is fairly circumstantial as you need to be targetted by a Will save effect.

good work on the dragonborn but the elan seems abit strange after all one of the main reasons for playing a elan is the immensly long life and i was thinking that it should be stronger then the standard with between a +1 to +3 la thats just my opinion

The thing is, the Elan is a well-known PC race, meaning that like all other well-known PC races, it tends to be LA +0. If you want a Diamond Elan or just an Elan with strengthened Diamond Dragon heritage with that much LA, just make it a half-Diamond Dragon. So, yeah, think Zaydos did a good job on that one.

Also, going to have to agree with you a bit: One reason people play Elans is because they can pretty much live forever(or close to it). Still, I can get the dragonblood interference with the lifespan. So, while it doesn't need to be full lifespan for a normal Elan, I'd still reccomend an increase in the lifespan.

Also, since you seem to have somewhat reluctantly settled on Gem as the name for the Psionic aspect for Dragonborn, I'd like to suggest Ruby or Crystalline Aspect for the name. Just a suggestion.

a thought just came to me if you wont make you own gem dragon race why not make dragonblooded versions of thegeckokings draconyx race one for each type gem dragon they can range from +1 to +4(most likely the diamond dragon empowered one) oh by the way i dont belive you can add the half-dragon template to a creature with the dragon type and they dont have to be decended from the dragon just several groups given great power by saridor when they where made

Dragonborn Paragon:

Guess it's because I've been making dragonborn aspects but this seemed like something that should be done. For more information on Paragon Classes see Unearthed Arcana.

I have decided to make a paragon for each aspect instead of a single paragon class, though.

I'm starting with Heart Aspect, but intend to edit the others into this post on a later date.

Heart Paragon:

{table]Level|BAB|Fort|Ref|Will|Special|Casting
1|+1|+2|+0|+0|Immunity to fear, +2 to Breath Weapon DC|-
2|+2|+3|+0|+0|Dragon Fighting, Increased Breath Weapon Damage|+1 level of martial initiator or dragonfire adept
3|+3|+3|+1|+1|+2 Con|+1 level of martial initiator or dragonfire adept[/table]

Hit Dice: d12.

Skills: 4+ Int Skill points per level (x4 at first level).
Class Skills: Balance, Climb, Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Heal, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Nobility and Royalty), Knowledge (Religion), Listen, Profession, Ride, Search, Sense Motive, Spot, Swim, and Tumble.

Weapons and Armor Proficiency: A dragonborn heart paragon is proficient in all simple weapons, all martial melee weapons, light and medium armor and shields (except tower shields).

Martial Initiating/Dragonfire Adept: At each level other than 1st a heart aspect paragon can progress any 1 martial initiating base class you have or dragonfire adept if you already have levels in that class for the purpose of (as appropriate) martial maneuvers and stances or breath effects and invocations. In addition if the martial initiating option is chosen at any level all levels of heart aspect paragon count towards your initiator level for that class instead of only counting 1/2. If you choose two different martial initiator classes at Lv 2 and 3 it counts full towards Initiator Level for both.

Immunity to Fear (Ex): A heart aspect paragon is immune to fear effects, including but not limited to the frightful presence of dragons.

+2 to Breath Weapon DC (Ex): Your breath weapon granted by the heart aspect has its save DC increased by 2.

Dragon Fighter (Ex): You gain a +2 bonus to attack, weapon damage, and breath weapon damage rolls against creatures with the dragon type (but not dragonblood subtype). In addition you get a +2 on grapples checks and opposed checks made to resolve trip, or bull rush against dragons. Finally you get a +2 on Bluff, Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks against dragons, and on Knowledge checks concerning them.

Improved Breath Weapon Damage (Ex): Your breath weapon granted by the heart aspect gains +1d8 damage.

Mind Paragon:

{table]Level|BAB|Fort|Ref|Will|Special|Casting
1|+0|+0|+0|+2|Improved Aspect, Detect Dragon|-
2|+1|+0|+0|+3|Will of Bahamut, Draconic Senses|+1 level of divine spellcaster or dragonfire adept
3|+2|+1|+1|+3|+2 Wis|+1 level of divine spellcaster or dragonfire adept[/table]

Hit Dice: d8.

Skills: 6+ Int Skill points per level (x4 at first level).
Class Skills: Bluff, Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Disguise, Escape Artist, Gather Information, Handle Animal, Hide, Heal, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge (any, each skill taken individually), Listen, Profession, Search, Sense Motive, Speak Language, Spot, Swim, Survival, and Use Magic Device.

Weapons and Armor Proficiency: A dragonborn mind aspect paragon is proficient in all simple weapons, light and medium armor and light shields and bucklers (but not heavy shields or tower shields).

Spellcasting: At each level other than 1st a mind aspect paragon can progress any 1 divine casting base class you have or dragonfire adept if you already have levels in that class for the purpose of (as appropriate) caster level, spells known, and spells per day, or breath effects and invocations.

Improved Aspect (Ex): A mind aspect paragon gains the benefits of the mind aspect associated with characters of the next hit dice rank (6 HD, 9 HD, 12 HD, or 15 HD) above what it actually is. If they have 15 or more Hit Dice they instead gain Blindsight 30-ft.

Detect Dragon (Sp): This ability functions identical to the spell Detect Undead but detects dragons instead of undead. Creatures with the dragonblood subtype are detected, but their auras are weaker (equal to an undead of 1/2 their actual hit dice). This ability is useable at will and counts as a 1st level spell.

Will of Bahamut (Ex): 1/encounter when required to make a Will saving throw you may use this ability to roll twice taking the better of the two results. If you use an ability to re-roll this save this ability is wasted.

Draconic Senses (Ex): Your racial bonus to Listen, Search, and Spot checks increases by an amount equal to your class level.

Wing Aspect Paragon:

{table]Level|BAB|Fort|Ref|Will|Special|Casting
1|+0|+0|+2|+0|Improved Aspect|-
2|+1|+0|+3|+0|Aerial Agility|+1 level of martial initiator, spellcaster or dragonfire adept
3|+2|+1|+3|+1|+2 Dex|+1 level of martial initiator, spellcaster or dragonfire adept[/table]

Hit Dice: d10.

Skills: 4+ Int Skill points per level (x4 at first level).
Class Skills: Balance, Climb, Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Handle Animal, Heal, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Nobility and Royalty), Knowledge (Religion), Listen, Profession, Ride, Search, Sense Motive, Spot, Swim, and Tumble.

Weapons and Armor Proficiency: A dragonborn wing aspect paragon is proficient in all simple weapons, and light armor.

Spellcasting/Martial Initiating/Dragonfire Adept: At each level other than 1st a heart aspect paragon can progress any 1 martial initiating base class you have, 1 base class's spellcasting or dragonfire adept if you already have levels in that class for the purpose of (as appropriate) martial maneuvers and stances, spells known, caster level, and spells per day, or breath effects and invocations. In addition if the martial initiating option is chosen at any level all levels of heart aspect paragon count towards your initiator level for that class instead of only counting 1/2. If you choose two different martial initiator classes at Lv 2 and 3 it counts full towards Initiator Level for both.

Improved Aspect (Ex): At 5 or less hit dice you gain the ability to fly for up to 2 rounds per class level, but gliding does not reset this and you must come to a full landing before taking flight again. If you fly more than 10 minutes in a day you are fatigued.

At 6 HD you add twice your class level to your Con bonus to determine the number of consecutive rounds you may spend flying, and can fly up to 20 minutes before becoming fatigued.

At 12 HD your maneuverability improves to Good and you gain +20-ft to your fly speed.

Aerial Agility (Ex): When flying you gain a dodge bonus to AC equal to your class level, and evasion. If you already have evasion this increases to improved evasion instead.

Gem Paragon:

{table]Level|BAB|Fort|Ref|Will|Special|Casting
1|+1|+0|+0|+2| Draconic Psicrystal|-
2|+2|+0|+0|+3|Psionic Flesh|+1 level of psychic warrior or dragonfire adept
3|+3|+1|+1|+3|+2 Wis|+1 level of psychic warrior or dragonfire adept[/table]

Hit Dice: d8.

Skills: 4+ Int Skill points per level (x4 at first level).
Class Skills: Balance, Climb, Concentration, Craft, Intimidate, Jump, Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Religion), Knowledge (the Planes), Knowledge (Psionics), Listen, Profession, Search, Sense Motive, Spot, Swim, and Tumble.

Weapons and Armor Proficiency: A dragonborn gem aspect paragon is proficient in all simple weapons but no armor or shields.

Martial Initiating/Dragonfire Adept: At each level other than 1st a gem aspect paragon can progress either psychic warrior or dragonfire adept if you already have levels in that class for the purpose of (as appropriate) manifester level, power points and powers knonw or breath effects and invocations.

Draconic Psicrystal: A gem aspect paragon gains Obtain Psicrystal as a bonus feat. A gem aspect paragon that does not have a manifester level uses his class level plus levels in dragonfire adept as his manifester (or psion) level, otherwise he uses his manifester level. This psicrystal functions like a normal psicrystal, except that when the gem aspect paragon reaches an effective level of 3 the psicrystal gains a 30-ft cone breath weapon usable once per hour which deals 1d6 + ML x 2 fire, cold, electric, or sonic damage (chosen on creation of the psicrystal). In addition they may share dragonfire adept invocations with the psicrystal as if they were spells.

Psionic Flesh (Su): By spending psionic power points a gem aspect paragon can reinforce his flesh. By spending 1 PP as an immediate action he may gain a +1 enhancement bonus to his natural armor (normally 0) for 1 round. They may also augment this power in one of two ways (each power point spent towards augmentation must go to one or the other of these abilities but they may choose to add to both). They may increase the duration by 1 round per 2 additional power points spent, or may increase the defense granted. If they spend power points to increase the defense granted then the enhancement bonus to natural armor increases by 1 per 2 power points spent towards this, and they gain DR 1/- for every odd number of power points spent towards this augmentation (so for 8 total power points they could gain +3 natural armor, and DR 3/- for 2 rounds).

Introduction Rant
Decided to make a few dragon themed domains and this seemed a good enough place for them (yes I realize the original intention was new subraces, but somehow it is now mostly my Player oriented dragon material).

These were inspired by the Metallic, Chromatic, and Gem Dragon domains in Dragon Magazine but I've decided to make my own and add a few more because of various reasons.

1) The spells weren't really thematically appropriate from what I remember.

2) The domains were rather bad from what I remember.

3) I can't remember which issue they were in and it's a pain to get out my dragon magazines anyway.

So without further rambling

Chromatic Dragon

Deities: I'd suggest Tiamat.
Benefits: Appraise is added to your Cleric class skill list. In addition you may expend daily uses of Turn/Rebuke Undead as a swift action to grant any dragonblood creature within 30-ft a +2 profane bonus to Strength for 1 round. This increases by +2 per 6 effective cleric levels. If used on a true dragon these bonuses are doubled.

Check out Chitin Skin Dragons here http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169209; it's been a while since I made them (they were years old when I started that thread), but they should be fairly close to what you are looking for. The illithid ones will have to wait till I have access to all my Dragon Magazines, still.

Well would he also be descended from Tiamat? If not I'd go with a dragonblooded yuan-ti based off of red or black dragon (since Dragotha is not consistently either according to wikipedia). If that's what you want alright.

If so add in some divine powers based on that... maybe a Tiamat Blooded Template... hmm...

My other idea is to play on Dragotha's connection with Kyuss make a Worm Dragon and then a dragonblooded yuan-ti version of that.

@Zaydos: I realize you're puzzling over demon-dragons, but was just wondering what you thought of this.

It'll be a little awkward because half-dragons and dragonbloods don't actually get casting. Probably drop the Int and Cha bonus from Half-Dragon and then look over the Xorvintaal template and choose equivalent abilities (maybe nerf other stuff to make up too if the powers are enough).

Dragonblood would be a little more difficult, because you're even further from casting and you'd have to pretty much take away the "draconic" abilities for Xorvintaal ones. I still need to look over the template. I'm apparently a little rusty at homebrew at the moment.

Alrighty, thanks. Also, if the Xorvintaal base abilities are too much for such stuff, then you could always make nerfed/reduced abilities for them. Also, it just might be how I see them, but it seems Xorvintaal Dragons, while more Dragon-y, are more cunning and such, so maybe instead of dropping the Cha and Int bonuses, you might reduce the Str and Con bonuses a little. After all, Xorvintaal is a game. Still, it's good to read the template for more clarity, yeah.

Thanks again.

Ok Zaydos He has changed it....
He now wants some kinda demon dragon lika a succubus....:smalleek:
On a unrelated note how about a Praying mantis like dragon blood?

Full-fledged dragon? Or someone descended from a succubus-dragon... which requires me to make the full-fledged dragon it was descended from (where did I save my templates for that).

For the other... not exactly praying mantis like (cricket legs and no arm-blades because hands are pretty much needed on PC races and cricket legs give jump bonuses).

Gyborrix
Descended from the results of pairings between chitin-skin dragon and goblins, the gyborrix are a horrifying species of insect-like humanoids. Comparable in size to their humanoid ancestors, a lucky one stands just at 3' in height. Their legs are backwards bent for powerful leaps and if fully extended might raise their full height to almost 4'.

Gyborrix live in a primarily matriarchal society of hunter gatherers, existing in tropical jungles far away from other humanoid races.

Humanoid (Goblinoid, Dragonblood)
+2 Dex, +2 Con, -4 Cha. Gyborrix are agile and healthy, but they lack a strong sense of individual identity and have difficulty dealing with those outside of their own highly insular and xenophobic tribes.
Small: +1 to AC and attacks, +4 to hide, -4 versus trip, bull rush, etc.
Speed: 30-ft.
Natural Leapers: Due to the structure of thier legs, gyborrix make all jump checks as running jumps.
Acid Resistance: 5
Natural Armor: +3
Sonic Vulnerability: Gyborrix take 150% damage from sonic attacks.
Blindsense 30-ft: If a gyborrix is deafened it loses its blindsense.
+2 to Move Silently and Survival checks.
+1 LA.

And, at least for the moment, it's back with more dragonblooded races and something a little different than usual in that it's a dragonblooded monster.

Merrithidae
Mortal sages do not like to think long on the creation of the merrithidae, save those who hope to turn the dread secrets of their creation towards their own evil ends. How the merrithidae came about is unknown, only that somehow the blood of brain stealer dragons became mixed with their illithid creators giving rise to a new subrace of illithid. Sometimes disregarded as impure stock by their brethren who fear the taint to the illithid race that they represent, the merrithidae are a rare subgroup. There is as of yet no reports of a merrithidae city or Elder Brain, instead living either as outcastes or members of illithid communities which tolerate them for the powers their draconic heritage brings to bear.

Merrithidae can be distinguished from their more common kin by the deeper purple of their flesh and elongation of their faces towards their tentacles. They have a tendency towards isolationism and keeping themselves separate and aloof even from their illithid brethren. Even so they are said to be cunning and dangerous with possibly even more potent psychic powers than their kin.

Merrithidae function as standard psionic mind flayers except as noted below:

They have the Dragonblood subtype.
Natural Armor: +5.
Acid resistance 10.
Ability Scores: Str 14, Dex 12, Int 21, Wis 15, Cha 15.
Special: A merrithidae may not deal Fire damage with psionic powers which allow a choice of energy type. Instead they may deal Acid damage.
Special: A merrithidae may learn a special psionic power unique to them (see below) unless the DM decides to open it to other characters.

Wings of Psychic Shadow
Telepathy (Mind-affecting)
Level: Psion/Wilder 4 (merrithidae only)
Display: Material and visual
Manifesting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 15-ft.
Target: Any number of creatures within 15-ft of you.
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will partial.
Power Resistance: Yes
Power Points: 7
Wings of darkness stretch from you striking at your foes. This darkness is immaterial and fleeting, but strikes at the very minds of your opponents. This deals 7d6 damage to each target and they are dazed for 1 round. On a successful Will save the damage is halved and they are not dazed but suffer a -2 to attack rolls, skill checks, and ability checks for 1 round.
Augmentation: For every additional power point spent increase the damage dealt by 1d6.
For every two additional power points spent the save DC is increased by 1.
Special: Dragonblooded creatures gain a +1 bonus to manifester level when using this power.

Ilustredi
Born of men bred with brain stealer dragons in the long lost past, the ilustredi are a people distrusted by the rest of humanity. Their skin has a purplish tint, and a slick, slimy, disgusting to the touch. Ilustredi tend to be lank and tall, averaging 3 inches taller than a normal human but 20 lbs lighter. Their hair is thin and wiry, and baldness is common amongst both men and women. Strange eye colors, yellow and purple, are not unheard of amongst the ilustredi.
It is not these physical traits which make the ilustredi despised, nor is it their inhuman intellects. It is their habits and diet. Ilustredi are by natural disposition arrogant, and proud, for they know they have power beyond that of other men. Even worse is their desire to feast upon the fresh brains of the dead. Many ilustredi eat the brains of animals, but it is suspected that they truly hunger for those of humans and other sentient prey. While an ilustredi killing someone to cannibalistically eat their brain is truthfully extremely slim, within their enclaves they do eat the brains of those who die partially in obeying this fear-inspiring hunger and partially as a form of honoring the dead by taking that which made them who they were into themselves.
Racial traits:

Humanoid (Human, Dragonblooded, Psionic)
+2 Int, -2 Str, -2 Cha
Size: Medium
Speed: 30-ft
Darkvision 60-ft
Naturally psionic: Illustredi gain 2 bonus power points as a racial ability.

Beginning at 3rd level it can also affect dragons. Beginning at 7th level it can also affect monstrous humanoids. Beginning at 11th level it can affect magical beasts and animals. Beginning at 15th level it is no longer limited by creature type.
Resistance to Acid 5.
Spawn of Madness: An ilustredi is considered to have 1 more aberrant feat than they actually do for the purpose of effects based off of how many aberrant feats they possess and for the purpose of qualifying for aberrant feats.
Favored Class (if used): Psion.
LA: +0.

Xorvintaal Affinity: This affinity applies when dealing with any Xorvintaal dragon or their exarchs.

Alternate Form: 3 times per day as a standard action you may assume the form of a small or medium animal or humanoid. You may remain in this form indefinitely, returning to your natural form as another standard action (which does not cost a use of this ability).

Draconic Roar: May let out a deafening roar dealing all creatures within 20-ft (other than yourself, your familiar, animal companion, or special mount) 6d6 sonic damage and deafening them. A successful Fort save (Con based) halves this damage and prevents the deafness. A creature deafened by this ability regains their hearing naturally after 1 minute.

Hope it's something like you wanted. Not the best with Xorvintaal (never used them), and never made a bloodline before.

The bloodline is interesting, although it could use some polishing. For reference material, I'd say look here. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208703)

Dol'gakrim

Born of stone, and breaking earth, the dol'gakrim have the strength of the hoary mountain wyrm coursing through their veins. Strong even by goliath standards, the dol'gakrim show their draconic ancestry more than most dragonblooded races. Descended from an ancient mating of goliaths and glacier dragons (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10212889&postcount=610) in the misty ages past, the dol'gakrim have bred true.

Dol'gakrim are no taller than other goliaths but their muscles are more prominent. Their skin is thick and almost scaly, mottled in white and pale blue. Their eyes are almost universally a piercing icy blue.

In many northern tribes dol'gakrim are respected for their greater strength and resilience to the cold. They have an independent streak, though, often leaving their clans for a life in the wild alone or with a chosen companion, usually of their own kind. Many dol'gakrim never know their parents, abandoned with a tribe by their fiercely independent parents.

The following traits are in addition to those of a normal goliath except where noted elsewhere:

Dragonblood subtype.
+6 Str, -2 Dex, +4 Con; this replaces a normal goliath's ability score modifiers.
+2 Natural armor.
Cold resistance 10
Scent
LA +2; this replaces a normal goliath's level adjustment.

Half-AM Dragon

How a half-AM is made few know and few want to, some AM Dragons (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18023869&postcount=981) use these half-breeds as their agents and guards sending them forth to capture and bring him back mortals to serve as their playthings. Only how a half-AM dragon differs from a standard half-dragon is listed before. Half-AM dragons' bodies become a metallic black, their internal working as much machine as organic creature.

Type: Instead of a creature's type becoming Dragon it becomes Construct with the Living Construct and Dragonblood Subtypes.

Hit Dice: A half-AM dragon's Racial Hit Die type does not increase.

Breath Weapon: A half-AM dragon's breath weapon is a line of electricity.

Energy Immunity: A half-AM dragon gains immunity to electricity.

New Feats:

Draconic Heritage (AM) [Draconic]:
You are descended from an umbra dragon.
Prerequisites: Sorcerer level 1st.
Benefit: See Draconic Heritage (Dragon Magic, Races of Dragon, or Complete Arcane).
The bonus class skill is Disable Device.

Sensory Infiltration [Draconic]:
You have some of your forebear's ability to infest structures and extend your sensory through them.
Prerequisite: Half-AM Dragon or Draconic Heritage (AM)
Benefit: As a full round action you can extend sensory feelers throughout an object, wall, or floor that you touch. These feelers extend 5-ft, and you can extend them an additional 5-ft per point of Constitution bonus you possess although it takes an additional full-round action per 10 additional feet you extend them. As part of this action you can form a single viewing sensor from any surface on the infested object within the range of your feelers, seeing and hearing from it as if it were your own eyes and ears. A DC 15 + your hit dice Spot check is required to see the sensor and it has AC 13 (-5 Dex, +8 size), and 1 hit point. You may form a number of sensors at a single time equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum 1) but any destroyed sensor counts against this limit for 24 hours, and you may only create 1 sensor per full round action spend extending your feelers (although you may do so as a full round action in which you extend them 0-ft). If you ever cease touching the infiltrated surface or move beyond the range of your infiltration all feelers immediately and automatically retract.
