shields! dragonstar or any d20 game?

dargonstar, D&D ( pathfinder, 3.5 dont care), other d20 game.

may Q&A is how did u work shields in d20 game if shields are not in the game?
cut Hp in half; 1 half is shields and other half is hp, DR/-, i like the hp thing so how would that work?

any ideas?

I'm assuming you're talking about actual sci-fi based energy shields, since you mentioned Dragonstar. With that assumption in mind, hit point based shields somewhat like in Star Wars D20 seem to work out best for modeling them. Basically because the shields are supposed to be absorbing the damage, and they naturally heal over time as long as the generator isn't destroyed.
