Reposting my character sheet, so people don't have to look through several pages of ponies for it. :smalltongue:


Name: Snickerdoodle
Appearance: Pegasus Pony - Tan coat, Brown mane & tail, and Brown eyes. His cutie mark is a trio of chocolate chip cookies in a triangle.
Skills: Cooking & baking, flying to deliveries, gardens as a hobby.
Biography: Snickerdoodle was born into a family of chefs and bakers, and was named thus because his hair colors reminded his mother of her favorite cookie, cinnamon-sugar snickerdoodles. Following in his family's hoofprints, he learned to cook and bake with great skill and talent. With a passion for pastries, he set out from home to start his own bakery. Once he found a cozy little hamlet, he set up shop and quickly gained a reputation for his delicious apple pies, blueberry scones, and of course... snickerdoodles.
Personality: Snickerdoodle is an all-around nice guy. He's friendly, kind-hearted, and has a strong sense of humor. He also has a tendency to "accidentally" include extra cookies in some orders on Fridays.
Relationships: Gets gardening advice from Whitefire, and likes to tip Soft Serve with cookies while visiting her store.

Eh, if its something your character would do, don't be afraid to do it. :smalltongue: Just because she said she'd help shovel doesn't mean she's bound to her word. If she's freaked out about the critters, she might not really care about shoveling anymore...

I actually kinda want it to be foggy near the lake now. XD It'd add a cool atmosphere... And it might inspire our ponies to go camping, since somepony may remark about it being the sort of atmosphere you'd tell ghost stories in while camping. :smalltongue:

So thoughts:

Maybe there aren't enough shovels for everypony, so me and you, and Whitefire if she likes, can go up and start clearing out the lakeside area. After the others finish up shoveling, they can join the group up there, and they can discover the Thingy.

Than, someone gets the bright idea that a camping trip up there would be fun, what with the fog and all.

Here's my character sheet.

Name: Wind Dancer

Appearance: Male unicorn with a light, mossy green coat and yellow mane. His cutie mark is a horseshoe. Wind's most prized possession is a guitar, which he doesn't usually carry around for fear of damaging it.

Skills: His name actually refers to the odd way objects behave in the presence of his music. Wind is only fairly athletic, and cannot be counted on to do anything more graceful than shuffle his feet or jump around a little. When he plays, things move as if gusts were blowing them around. Wind has a few other music related spells, as well as a great knowledge of Equestrian myth.

Biography: Wind Dancer has recently moved to Bridle Shores in search of inspiration. He is in the middle of a creative slump he just can't seem to shake. Wind hopes that a change of scenery will help get his creative juices flowing so he can compose more music.

Personality: Wind is polite and friendly, but not always social. People trying to talk to him often find his attention diverted to a piece of sheet music or a book. He is fascinated by mythology and history. Wind is imaginative, and matches his inner monologue to what he is reading and writing.

Relationships: Having just moved in town, Wind doesn't know many of the citizens, but will be glad to make new friends.

Then you guys can be like "Gasp! That's not how it looks!" And I can be all, "Oh, okay, how does it look?" Then you can be like, "THIS is how it looks!" And I can be like, "Okay, I gotcha. Even though you just said 'THIS is how it looks!" and that's not a lot for me to go on....."

But I sort of imagine that the town is situated in such a way that the forestry is literally all around the town, with a small road heading off to the East, the lake up North, and the mountain on the West side of the lake, such that the forest peters off just as it reaches the first incline.

Okay, I'm working on a map of Bridal Shores now. I'll try to upload it sometime later today. Just to confirm:

To the west is Mt. Trotia*. To the north is the very large lake, near which is the lighthouse at which Sensei trains**. The town is surrounded by forest, with a path leading north to the lake, west to the mountain, and east to the rest of Equestria. I'm guessing the lumber mill is on the edge of the town, close to the forest? I'm not sure where the rest of it is, does anypony have any further information / preferences? Right now I just have Bridal Shores itself as a rather circular empty space, waiting for filling with shops, etc.

*I still say the Everwild Mountains is a better name. *pouts*

Just for the record/judge: The fire from the jetpack was neither magical nor designed to melt the snow, it was simply a vehicle for salt distribution.

This is clearly the exact answer, since what I pictured when I decided something should get into the lab was something somehow oblong/round with wings. Parasprite would have also worked, but isn't as funny.

Yes indeed! Super serious expression on Whitefire, ponytail works for mane, super tense posture. If she's wearing anything it's probably cold weather gear, and then it's function over form. Samurai themes are right, if you can include 'em.

Yes, actually, really frequently, as well as "G'day". Occasionally one does encounter a yobbo who goes the full cartoon style "Don't come the raw prawn mate", but fortunately I don't get much contact with those types.

You'll need to edit the pacing some as flat copy-paste PBP transcripts don't scan well in my experience.



I also see that Rebonak has his hoof firmly on the intimidation button, for I am certainly feeling intimidated.

EDIT: Oh, one request; Benson, could you post the uncoloured versions of those pony sketches you did when you have them scanned? Untangling the reason behind this request is oddly convoluted but it boils down to 'I think sketches are cool sometimes'.
