I'm playing a Duskblade in a 3.5 campaign, and my DM thinks that if you channel a spell but miss your attack, your weapon is still "charged" and you don't waste the spell. I thought that the spell is used up even if you miss, just like any other time you use a spell.
For example, at 3rd level if I channel Shocking Grasp and miss my attack, my level one spells I can use today drops from 4 to 3. Must I spend another spell slot next turn to channel the spell, or is it still "charged" on my weapon?
