see, I was thinking the spear was the main weapon, and everything else was back up... Possible, with the Pathfinder THF style for Rangers...

Well, obviously you start by making her an Elf Scout (http://djmagiccards.com/images/large/Zendika_Frontier_Guide_LRG.jpg).

That would be the obvious thing to do... However, it may not be the best thing to do. For example, rangers can operate as scouts, they do not necessarily need to have levels in scout...

I just dont know how to take a spear and make that work with a lightly armored Dex-y Elf.

B-but she is an elf scout. The card says so. She has to be.

My big list o' feats has Companion Guard Style in Dragon #315. It requires you to be an elf (hey there!) and lets you use DEX instead of STR for your to-hit with longspears and longswords. Then just treat it like you would any Finesse-y Scout build.

yeah... my only problem with Companion guard Style ( i feat I like, by the way, always thought D&D elves should be able to use DEX with a longsword, since it is Corellans favored weapon) is that it doesnt look like a longspear in the pic. I was thinking the same thing though.
