In short, I got bored so i'm making some Warforged Plating-esque Feats. Because I can.

Feats

Soundforged Body
http://images.wikia.com/transformers/images/2/2a/Soundwave_mixalot.jpg
You were built to amuse the richer nobles with your musical talents, and now that you are free you can earn your money as a musical melody master.
Prerequisites: Warforged, 1st level only
Benefits: Your body has been upgraded to project sound in a way unlike other beings. Your Favoured Class becomes Bard, and you gain the ability to mimic other voices. While your default setting is that of a person speaking into a voice projector, by listening to someone for one round (As long as you can hear them the whole time, you can do anything you like during the round), you can near-flawlessly mimic their voice. A person must make a Sense Motive check opposed by your Bluff check in order to detect the copy. You gain a +2 bonus on any Perform (Singing) checks you make. Lastly, you gain Ghost Sound (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Ghost_sound) as an SLA usable 3/day. At 3rd level, you may use it at will.

Nightmare Plating
http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs11/i/2006/220/d/e/Random_Evil_Mecha_by_Manganiac.jpg
You were built to be a real horror show.
Prerequisites: Warforged, 1st level only
Benefit: You become a great deal more terrifying with these modifications, and can instill terror as you wish. Your Composite Plating is upgraded to Medium Armor, the armor bonus increases to +3 and the Arcane Failure Chance increases to 15%. You gain a racial bonus to Intimidate checks equal to 1/2 of your Character Level plus 2 (Minimum 3), and can cast Cause Fear (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Cause_Fear) once per day as an SLA.

Speedbreaker Plating
http://th09.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2011/003/c/d/mecha_sonic_sort_of_by_evmousser-d36dccd.jpg
You were built so that if you needed to get somewhere, you got there fast.
Prerequisites: Warforged, 1st level only
Benefit: Your plating becomes lighter and sleeker, and your potential speed output increases a great deal. Your armor bonus is reduced to +1, but in a trade-off, all your movement speeds (including future movement speeds you might acquire) are increased by 10ft. You also gain immunity to Slow (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Slow) effects, and this feat grants all the benefits listed in the Run (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Run_(Feat)) feat.

Necrotech Plating
http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs14/f/2007/106/3/1/Necron_by_NachoMon.jpg
You carry the essence of the undead within your metal casing.
Prerequisites: Warforged, 1st level only
Benefit: Your body has been retrofitted to contain the necrotic arcana that fuels the unlife of the undead, at the cost of your mental and physical integrity. Your land speed is reduced by 10ft (Minimum 10ft), and your racial penalty to Charisma becomes -4. In return, you gain Fast Healing 1, as the unlife that powers you seeks to keep its metal home in top condition, no matter the price. For every 5 character levels you have, this Fast Healing increases by 1.

And now for a few more different feats.

Colossus Plating
http://th03.deviantart.net/fs10/PRE/i/2006/075/5/c/ROBOT_by_Absinthe_Man.jpg
There is no such thing as "Overkill". Only "More Plating" and "I'm not protected enough".
Prerequisites: Adamantine Plating, Character level 10th or more
Benefit: You become a hulking pile of metal and strength, able to deflect most blows with ease. Your Armor Bonus increases to +12 and your DR/Adamantine increases by 2, but your Movement Speeds are reduced by 10ft, and your Arcane Failure Chance increases to 50%.

Breakneck Overclocking
http://ui05.gamespot.com/1924/supermetalsonic_2.jpg
Prerequisites: Speedbreaker Plating, Character Level 5th
Benefits: As a swift action, you may take 2 points of Con Damage (You take Str Drain instead if you have no Con score) to activate any of the following, which are active for a number of rounds equal to your Character Level/4 (Minimum 1 round).

A Flight Speed equal to your Land Speed.
Increase your Land Speed by ([Character Level/4]*10)ft, with a Minimum of 10ft.
Add an enhancement bonus to your attack rolls equal to your Character Level/4.
Act under the effect of a Haste (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Haste).

Special: If you cannot take the 2 points of Con Damage/Str Drain for any reason, you cannot use this feat.

Cassette Carrier
http://www.motifake.com/image/demotivational-poster/small/1005/soundwave-soundwave-transformers-transformer-decepticon-dece-demotivational-poster-1273466891.jpg
Say hello to my little friends!
Prerequisites: Create Wondrous Item, Soundforged Body
Benefit: In the spoiler. Loooooooong stuff.
You may upgrade effigy creatures into your own personal cassettes, easily hidden and ready to fight at your behest. You may upgrade any Effigy Creature you own into a Cassette Creature, with the restriction that it cannot be a bigger category size than you, and it must of originally of been an Animal or Magical Animal that had the Effigy Template applied to it at creation.
To upgrade the Effigy Creature to a Cassette Creature, you must spend a number of gp on supplies equal to the Effigy's HD times 50, and the upgrade process takes four hours.
A Cassette Creature is always telepathically linked to it's master, and its master can always communicate with the Cassette Creature while they are on the same plane.
As as a free action, the Soundforged can order the Cassette Creature to turn into it's Cassette Form (The Cassette Creature can take no actions), which takes the Cassette Creature a move action. The Cassette Creature is then magically teleported as a Su effect into its master's specially made chest cavity, which acts like a Bag of Holding, only it can only hold any one Cassette Creature (of any size).
As an Immediate Action, if the Soundforged is adjacent to an empty space, the Cassette Creature's master can deploy the Cassette Creature from his chest cavity, with the Cassette Creature appearing in a square adjacent to the Cassette Creature, in it's normal form.
If the Soundforged has a Cassette Creature in it's chest cavity and is adjacent to an enemy, when the Cassette Creature is deployed, it can automatically make a full attack at no penalty.

Necrotech Regeneration
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_azsEZoa3KEg/TMgzMlkjODI/AAAAAAAABEM/bimy-vJkbxw/s1600/40kNecrons.jpg
I'm sorry, i'm not dead yet. Can you try again?
Prerequisite: Necrotech Plating, Fast Healing 4 (Granted by Necrotech Plating)
Benefit: The Necrotech implants that sustain you have fully integrated with your metal form, and as such nothing can put you down. You lose your Fast Healing granted by Necrotech Plating, and instead gain Regeneration 1. For every 10 character levels you have, this Regeneration increases by 1.
Special: Your Regeneration has nothing in particular that can bypass it, and thus you can only be put down by a Limited Wish/Wish/Miracle requesting in precise words that your Regeneration stops working.

Awesome. Game machanically its not particularly useful but awesome from a fluff perspective. Also Soundwave

Little weak I think. The bonus to Intimidate helps with Fearful Armor + Imperious Command from DotUD and I guess it might be worth a feat if you're really building a fear build but the low armor bonus means it's rather meh.

Benefit: Your plating becomes lighter and sleeker, and your potential speed output increases a great deal. Your armor bonus is reduced to +1, but in a trade-off, all your movement speeds (including future movement speeds you might acquire) are increased by 20ft. You also gain immunity to Slow (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Slow) effects, and this feat grants all the benefits listed in the Run (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Run_(Feat)) feat.

This one's much stronger than the other two. Good for a warforged archer if those weren't already so feat starved. Might use it on messenger warforged in a campaign.

The cost on this might be a little high.

And now for two more different feats.

Breakneck Overclocking
http://ui05.gamespot.com/1924/supermetalsonic_2.jpg
Prerequisites: Speedbreaker Plating, Character Level 5th
Benefits: As a swift action, you may take 2 points of Con Damage (You take Str Drain instead if you have no Con score) to activate any of the following for a number of rounds equal to your Con Modifier.

A Flight Speed equal to your Land Speed.
Increase your Land Speed by [Con Mod*10]ft.
Add an enhancement bonus to your attack rolls equal to your Con Mod.
Act under the effect of a Haste (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Haste) spell for a number of rounds equal to your Con Mod.

Special: If you cannot take the 2 points of Con Damage/Str Drain for any reason, you cannot use this feat.

These both look fine, but with breakneck overclocking how long does it last if you don't have a Con score? Also does it use your Con modifier from before or after you take the Con damage? You might want to change the duration.

I've had a cool idea involving Effigy Templated critters. :smallcool:

More? I can do more. :smallamused:

Oooooo, goody!

Eh, -4 it is then.

Oh, it would be a pain to track. I'll change the durations.

Replies in bold, and the Warforged Overclocker Prc and the Cassette Carrier feat are both things is on my to-do list. Will probably do the feat now and the Prc later.

Breakneck Overclocking's land speed boost still has the question of whether to use pre-damage or post-damage Con to determine effect in there. Deliberate?

Cassette Carrier is awesome. You can be Soundwave :belkar: (it's the closest thing to a good evil smile I could find).

No, I just didn't edit it enough. Because i'm clever like that.

Glad you like it.

Now then boys and girls and those of middling gender, would you prefer the Warforged Overclocker to be a gishy Prc, or a full-on melee Pprc? I can't do ToB Prc's well for the live of me, so don't please don't ask.

For the necrotech, I'd have it reduce their Charisma, rather than their Wisdom. For one, Zombies, Skeletons and other mindless undead have Wisdom as their highest mental stat. Charisma is their lowest. For two, if you meant the Necron as more of an inspiration than just a picture, they also fit the normal wisdom/low charisma bit.

Inspiration is right, and so Charisma sounds good. Also, another question, because I really don't want to look silly giving out potentially broken feats.
These are Necrons, and so it was going to happen. Regeneration. What level should I give it out?

Perhaps you should word Colossus Plating as increasing your DR/admantine by 2, and not giving a set value, as Improved Damage Reduction exists, which if taken enough, would mean the Colossus Plating would reduce DR, which I'm sure you didn't intend.

Oh yeah. Never been good at wording stuff.

These are Necrons, and so it was going to happen. Regeneration. What level should I give it out?

Honestly, the problem with Regeneration inspired by Necrons is that the Necron kind of Regeneration isn't bypassed by any damage. Trolls have Regeneration that is bypassed by Fire and Acid. Typically, evil outsiders that have Regeneration have it bypassed by Good-aligned attacks. Necrons...they just don't die. Like, ever.

I made a Necron-inspired Lich template, at one point, that had Regeneration not bypassed by anything. It was, however, something that would be impossible to find below ECL 15 - a time where dealing with things in ways other than damage is perfectly viable. Even as a PC, you'd be sucking up a substantial +4 LA, and one would hope that by ECL 15 the DM is throwing things at you a bit more interesting than "Guy that punches for +X damage".

Even then, there were people who didn't like it. Honestly, there's always going to be someone who tells you that anything that can't be punched to death by mashing the X button is broken, even in a game that is supposedly meant to reward creativity. Personally, I'd just not listen to those people and make it a feat with prerequisites that put it between 15-18th level, depending on how many other prerequisites you have.

Was that the Aelthion Lich (Sp?)? That template was kinda cool.
I think I can finagle 16th level. Thanks for your advice, anyway.

Oooo. Compliments are always nice. Necrotech Regeneration has been put up, and because of the way stuff scales, it's at 15th level, which oddly enough is when you've already got Limited Wish if you've been a good spellcaster, so it shouldn't be too bad.

O.k. I am sorry, I know this is annoying.

More richer isn't a thing though. It is either, more rich, or richer, not more richer. In this case it would be: You were built for the richer nobles.

Also, even though I don't like Warforged, I have to admit that these armor plating Ideas are AWSOME! *thumbs up*

God, I'm no good at grammar. Well, good catch, and i'm glad you like it.
