My wife made this for me last week, using a combination of knitting, crocheting, and sewing: a scale mail dice bag. It's larger than a Crown Royal bag. I'd estimate it has about 50%-60% greater capacity, too. It's made out of black polyester yarn and aluminum scales. A black cotton lining is sewn to the inside to help support it and to keep it from stretching too much (stretching will distort the shield pattern).
We're still refining the design. I think I'm going to take some old dice I have and drill a hole through them to serve at ends for the drawstring. It's pretty hefty; I'm not sure it'll serve well as a traveling dice bag, but for storage in my home it looks awesome!
