as my campaign is nearing the end I have been searching for some tunes to go with the epilouge speech, alas, I have been unable to find anything.
Do the people of the playground have any suggestions?

It all depends on the mood you'd like to achieve and the general theme of the campaign. There won't be "one size fits all" music. I'll try to gather something up:
1. Vangelis - 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0Lcz--JhXU&feature=fvst) (check after 1:13 if the beginning doesn't fit), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSZ55X3X4pk&feature=related) (compilation of music from the Cosmos series), 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB7fnZ-AQNE&feature=related).
2. Yoko Kanno - 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qqc9Fujtt7k), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrmA-nZjTh8&feature=related) (the voice might be a bit distracting in this one), 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thdb0hDjcrA).
3. Clannad - 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpiJECA2MCE), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S2chCFBcaA&feature=related).

well unless they all die I'd like to to be sort of hopeful since they defeats the BBEG and all that ;P

have you tried tales of the abyss music This is pretty cool imo, for final boss (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjM3mdtw1B0&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL), This for any other boss (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDyAeMAntvU&feature=channel_video_title) both sound awesome imo of course

If there's any amount of tragedy to the ending, like if the players martyr themselves to save the world, you need Bittersweet Symphony.

The ending theme (good, neutral or evil) from the Planescape: Torment game. In fact, that entire soundtrack is a masterpiece almost without equal.

The Blood+ OST (anime soundtrack) also works well.

Fairy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjVElYA8II8&feature=related) Tail (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU-lOFuOpaA&feature=related) might by useful.
This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeXUymENtiM) might do as well, but I might be repeating myself here.
This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ppZUcfBbeM) is good, but is not quite universal.

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YdA8Q9KKLc) is what was playing when I read this. It fits really well, considering it was MADE for this purpose.

As far as ending music goes, I like this one (http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/alternia). It's a little sad, but overall hopeful.

What sort of ending is it?

Though you can't go wrong with Kyrie from the death note soundtrack.

Or for darker the main theme.

For lighter L's theme.
