As we all know (or should know), invisible fog is one of the best methods to block true seeing/see invisibility. So then, let's try to make this very difficult to counter, because there are some very easy ways to get rid of it (such as gusts of wind or the like).

3, 2, 1... Go!

Leadership, get a dispelling expert as a cohort, make him counter any spells cast to mess with your fog. Problem solved.

Until the party's fighter runs him through with a sword.

Until the party's fighter runs him through with a sword.

Which is why all your other cohorts are efficient meat shields.

Have him cast Fly and call it a day.

What Markus said. Have 'em all be Warblades equipped with guisarmes that have Improved Trip and Combat Reflexes. There, problem solved.

...Although it was probably a joke. :smallsigh:

I shall spread the buttery justice of Therin over the toast of your iniquity. The succulent jam of light shall sweeten the sourdough of your evil ways. The creamer of light will dull the bitterness of your evil unholy coffee taste. The spatula of purity shall scramble the eggs of your malfeasance.

True seeing probably yes, but see invisibility no. See invisibility makes the fog semi-transparent to the viewer.

Permanent gusts of wind blowing the fog where you want it, assuming its an indoor setting. Just have a gust blowing inward from each entrance, and make it only activate when it feels fog coming toward it, so that you're not creating a windtunnel.

Gust of Wind disperses cloud spells instead of moving them.

If the room is full of fog, it has nowhere to disperse to? I might be totally wrong though, my knowledge of physics isn't impressive.

Wait, I thought that's what we were already talking about? Solid fog with the invisible spell feat made permanent with permanency? No other fog spll is on permanency's list in the SRD.

There are rules to let other spells become permanent as well. Considering solid fog can become permanent, why couldn't regular fog?

Permanency (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/permanency.htm) gives a list of certain spells that can be made permanent with it, implying that if it isn't on the list, it can't be made permanent. Fog cloud (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/fogCloud.htm) isn't on the list. I don't think it's at all unreasonable to make a regular fog cloud permanent, I don't imagine many DMs would have a problem with it (I almost said no DMs, but I've seen stranger things). I guess I was just curious why you posted it, since I don't see why getting rid of it would be any easier or harder than regular fog. Otherwise you could make a magic item of fog generation I guess, but that seems needless compared to permanency, since if they can get rid of the permanency, they'll probably be able to get rid of the magic item.

The point of the invisible fog cloud is that the only people who know it exists are those who can see invisible. Invisible solid fog is still hard to walk through, and will show the guards that something is up, even if they can't see invisible things.

What happens when you stack regular fog with solid fog?
