Yeah, I did one of these before, but it didn't go over well. So anyway, if you're gonna "trip" then save myself and yourself, and just leave now. This is not for the closed minded.

Anyway, here is the custom creature in question:

Type: Floating Adamantine Lasers (Tiny Constructs)
HD: 45d10 (450 HP)
Stats: Str 10, Dex 25, Con -, Int -, Wis 10, Cha 2
Initiative: +5
Land speed: 30ft
Fly speed: 60ft (Perfect)
AC: 49 (10 + Size 2 + Dex 5 + Natural 30 + Misc. 2)
Flat Footed: 44
Touch: 19
Base Attack Bonus: +30
Full Attack: +35 Per Ray (10 Rays+Wounding+Stun+Weakning+Burn) Ranged Touch
Grapple: (Has no arms, but in case its ever needed) +22
Special Qualities: Construct Traits, Magic Immunity (As Adamantine Golem) Fast Healing 5, DR 20/Adamantine, Constant Death Watch
Saves: Fort +14, Reflex +19, Will +14
CR: ?? I'm thinking 15 (each, but there are always 10)
Organization: Usually 10 are together
Laser Special Properties:
~Can Bypass Damage Reductions for Adamantine, Cold Iron, +1, and Fire
~Deals 1 point of permanent Con damage as the “Wounding” weapon enchantment
~Stun DC: 37 (Dex based)
~Deals 1d6 Str damage as the “Ray of Enfeeblement” spell (cannot reduce past one)
~Burn DC: 32 (Str based)

Range Increment: Line of sight

EDIT: Any "NON-drive by comment" suggestions?

#1. Divide creature's average HP by 4.5 to 6.5.
4.5 for 5 HD or lower, 5 for 6-10 HD, 5.5 for 11-15 HD, 6 for 16-20 HD., 6.5 for 20-25 HD.

Extrapolating, 450/8 = 56.25 (about 56)

#2. Add 1 for each five points above 10 its AC is, subtracting 1 for every 5 below.

AC is almost 50, so 56+8=64

#3. Add 1 for each special attack (+2 to +5 or more if its got a decent number of spells in its spell-like abilities).

Have to guess here, maybe +5? 69

#4. Add 1 for each quality unless you deem it worthy of more. Add 1 for each resistance and 10 points of DR it has, and 2 for each immunity. Subtract 1 for each vulnerability.

I'd put the Magic Immunity and Fast Healing as +6, then +2 for the DR. 77.

#5. Add 1 for every two bonus feats it has.
None.

#6. Divide total by 3. This should be its rough CR

77/3 = 25.6666666 (about 26)

Based on Vorpal Tribble's calculator, about CR 26. Each.

First of all, this should be in the homebrew forums. Second of all, it should have an average HP of 225, not 450. If you make that change, it's CR 16, but my gut says 'hell no.' The HP is exactly the same as a pit fiend's, and pit fiends are CR 20. The AC is... just nuts. It shouldn't be that high at CR 16; it's over ten points more than any other CR 16s I can find. Ten rays on a full attack, each dealing 1 CON damage, giving a penalty to strength, and stunning at DC 37, all on ranged touch attacks? Not even remotely CR 16. At this CR, gold dragons have the casting of a 7th level sorcerer, and this thing can kill everyone in one full attack, while having DR 20, magic immunity, and an unhittable AC.

And its range is 'line of sight.' I'd put it somewhere in epic CRs... for one alone. Not sure exactly, since the CR system is completely borked after level 20.

This sounds pretty dope.

...I'm not even sure if that means 'awesome' or 'completely wrong.'

I assure you, despite the HP average count being incorrect (which isn't his fault), his assessment is fairly accurate.

No, I'm complementing him. haha where I'm from "dope" means "cool".

As for his HP being maxed out, that just a houserule we do just cause its easier for everyone. Instead of a Fighter having to roll his HP 16 times (if he were level 16) we can just say 16 x 10.

Its just faster is all, but yeah, I understand the whole "average" HP thing.

EDIT: Also, I'm inclined to disagree on a tiny bit you said earlier. I could see a level 16 Wizard bringing one of them down. But I guess having 10 of them together at most times is kinda ghetto.......hmmm.............

247.5. Not 225.
[/nitpick]
