Ardent of Destruction/Diamond Dragon Optimization help

I have a d&d game friday, and I planned on tapping into a new field for my group: Psionics. I know psionics isn't as strong as magic, but I wanted to see what it can do.

I plan on using Ardent with the Dominant Mantle and Substitute Powers ACFs, dunno what race (probably Chosen, Synod, or Elan with Dragonborn), and using Practised Manifester in tandem with Diamond Dragon. I love the Diamond Dragon PrC, since it gives stat bonuses, and makes you more dragon-like.

I just am unsure how precisely I should build it. Any ideas y'all?

Pick up Practiced Manifester from Complete Psionic, as mantle power access is based on manifester level, and Diamond Dragon loses ML.
