i seen a picture of a sharn (a black mass with 3 mouths and 9 hands) from an old piece of art. please help me find that image.

You can't possibly mean one of the version they have here (http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Sharn), so I guess you mean the original version from the Ruins of the Undermountain Boxed Set. I'm looking at it right now.

There's the version in the 3.0 Monsters of Faerun, perhaps?

The place where i saw it was on a thread where people had to name the monster in the picture. I can't find that thread.

Maybe it's the one from the 2nd ed monsterous compendium appendix 2(or 3 I don't remember), unfortunatly I don't have a picture on the computer or a scanner handy.
