Hello, folks.
So, I've had this idea in my head for years now, ever since I bought the Hengeyokai book.
Basically, we're looking at a sentai that takes itself seriously in a dark, dangerous world. Think Supernatural (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Supernatural) meets Jetman (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChoujinSentaiJetman).
The idea is a group of dissidents from the oriental courts that decide to do something to prevent the 6th age. They can't use their main resources, so they are forced to rely on a ragtag bunch of misfits (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RagtagBunchOfMisfits) for this desperate struggle.

Meaning you wouldn't be playing vampires, kuei-jin, shapeshifters or the like. You would be playing barely mortal characters - gypsies, ghouls, sorcerers, kinfolk, hunters and the like.

The game would be set in 1999 and it would be about traveling the world doing stuff to try and prevent the 6th age or at least to make it less sucky. The first mission would be getting the 6th ranger (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SixthRanger), an ocidental dhampyr that can see stuff regarding the apocalypse (imagine that background from Time of Thin Blood that allows you to see the future, except stronger. Maybe this character would get Auspices as well).

Basically, I want to use equipment and martial arts from Demon Hunter X, a few moves from World of Darkness: Combat and almost-human creatures from all around the world of darkness in a desperate struggle to prevent something that most probably can't be prevented, all in 1999, so turn your nostalgia filters on. We'de to discuss a few rulings on crossover stuff, but that sounds easy.

So anyone interested?

A few doubts:

Other than ghouls, kinfolk, hunters, gypsies and sorcerers, are there any other 'almost human' creatures in WoD?
Can a non-sorcerer become a diabolist?

I think the Technocracy have humans enhanced with cyberware or genetic enhancements that work for them and I think several of the Mage groups employ humans who they gift with magical items they create fro them ( I remember Templars who get assault rifle clips that have a Rote cast on them so they never run out of ammo)
Also, and very in keeping with the theme of your game, there are Dhampyrs the mortal chidren of Yang aspected Kue-Jin who have minor Kue-jin disciplines

Anybody who has a soul can sell it to the infernal powers. There are examples of the kind of Demonic gifts you can get for it in various Mage books.

Can't believe I forgot dhampyrs. Kuei-jin dhampyrs even have their own book!
