Drawing Royal Regalia in OoTS

Alright, I'm working on my fancomic (again. Hopefully this reboot plan lasts long enough to actually post a strip), but I'm having trouble with some of the outfit design; Specifically, the first story arc deals with a rather large royal, and I need to create some sort of long, flowing robe for the King, lords, and princes. The way I see it, the Nobility have long, flowing robes and dresses, to contrast with the more utilitarian trousers the Common men and women wear. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to find a way to design the nobility's clothes without making it too effeminate. Any recommendations?

Well noble regalia doesn't have to be too outrageous.

Though I imagine you're more going for things a bit more...exaggerated. What I would do is think about how to make certain bits bigger. Big...fur things line the openings of coats, fur cloaks, PAULDRONS!!! If you're feeling dramatic.
