So, I just realized something about Fax Celestis's d20r efforts today after my DM mentioned he'd like to see a mantle paladin (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33551)tried out sometime in his games and offering my friend who rolled up a Pally to rebuild as one of them. So we just took a look down the list of mantles and came to an interesting realization. Thanks to them, Eric Cartman can be built. As a Paladin. :smalleek: Extravagance and Authority mantles, for instance.

That's it, I'm throwing in the homebrewing towel. Nothing I can create will ever be this awesome. :smalltongue:

Well, you just made my friend's day. It sorta started off by realizing that the Extravagance mantle paladin would pretty much have to be, well, "portly." And evil. So 1 and 1 added up to 11 and the awesome thought came out when he mentioned the authority mantle a bit after that.

...The real question now is, what race to make him...

This is, without fail, the greatest thing ever.

I personally find this amazing because it seems like you not only can build Cartman with this set-up, but you have to do it.

Ooo, good point. I hadn't considered it that fully.

...

I wonder what other iconic figures could be constructed with mantles so that they basically had to be played that way rather than could be. Like, say, Star Scream comes to mind...

if not for the disgusting flavor text, I'd argue for willing deformity: obesity.
