D20 Future Starship Help

So, my buddy and I are both going to co-gm a D20 Future game. There is one problem though. With all of the ships in the book, I am having a hard time coming up with a good ship for my players to commandeer. Is there a handy guide on how to create a ship similar to either the Serenity (Firefly class starship, from Firefly), Moya (Leviathan class starship, from Farscape), The Hunter Gratzner (from Pitch Black), the Heart of Gold (minus the probability drive, from HHGTTG). Basically what I'm looking for is something three people can fly, but has a docking bay and weapons.

Serenity is an unarmed transport craft with a -cargo- bay, what exactly do you mean by docking bay?
