Oh gods, this is going to be really, really, really effing hard. I have no idea...

All of the entries bring something cool and unique to the class, and I love all of them.

Could you link the entry thread in the OP, for those who don't know where it is?

Awesome.

After giving it some thought, my main contenders boil down to the Kannushi, the Symbolist, and the Onmyouji. The other classes were all pretty awesome, but those three really stood out to me.

The Kannushi is very interesting, mechanically, and something I think could work with a lot of build styles and character concepts. The fluff is interesting, and ties into the mechanics fairly well.

The Symbolist is really a cool class. The idea of the saintly beasts is an interesting one, and the execution and fluff that the class has is pretty awesome, while staying close to the theme of the contest.

The Onmyouji has some seriously sweet mechanics, and I fracking love the image of an Onmyouji, fighting off dangerous youkai with their scripts. Fantastic. The capstone is kind of "meh," but the rest of the class is really, really cool.

Was a tough one here lot of great Oriental PrC, however the two that I like the most are Kensei and Bakeneko. I had to choose and my vote goes to :

Bakeneko

Good job everyone

Some very good class in this contest, even without the usual heavyweight homebrewer. A few comment for each class before my vote because I didn't have time to Peach them in detail:

Monk of the Five Palms: Very good flavor and clearly help the monk. My only real reproch is that some palm are clearly stronger than other (Zhi mostly).

Kensei: A nice Iajutsu focused class, I just dislike the fact that an official class already go by that name. (but I've made the same error before myself)

Phoenix Wing Assassin: A strong class but a little laking in oriental flavor, apart from the name.

Raiju: Some support for the hexblade is always nice, seem just a little overpowered compared to it, still cool concept. Also, I may have miss something, but where are the stat for the lightning elemental ?

Master of the Five: Really specialized but flavorful, and I always loved summoning.

Kannushi: While I like the idea, it seem too much like a prestige cleric too me, could (nearly ?) replace it. Plus like the Ur-priest it can allow acces to double nine casting with theurge class and allow to qualify for prc that require casting up to fourth level spell with a one level dip.

Bakeneko: See my peach in the contest chat thread.

Auran Traveler: See my peach in the contest chat thread.

Onmyoji: I'm ambivalent on this class on the one hand it's very well done but on the other I get the feeling that it want to do too much. It give lot of option but little room to gain them. I think it would be perfect as a base class. That could allow you to spread out the ability and to give some unique spellcasting method instead of a modified standard one. I heartilly encourage you to thin k about making it a base class.

Now for my vote, it goes to the

Monk of the Five Palms

It was so hard to choose between the Monk of Five Palms and the Auran Traveler, but I believe that the Monk of Five Palms sticks closer to the theme of an Oriental PrC.

My Vote:Monk of Five Palms

After a lot of thought, I am going to go with the Onmyouji. They were all pretty damn fantastic, and you guys seriously outdid yourselves.

whoops, I still need to vote!

There were some very amazing entries this time around, but I think my vote is going to have to be for the Symbolist. The class has a great flavor and just really impressed me.

That said, my second pick would be the Raiju, as it looks like a huge amount of fun.

Raiju: Simply because it's the class I would most want to play.

Wow, there are a lot of really well done classes here. I think I'm going to vote for the Kensei though, just because it's an awesome new take on an old idea.

Man, lots of great entries this time around. I really like the Raiju though. Not that I don't like everything else >.> That one edges out just a wee bit, mostly because Hexblades need nice things.

I'll put my vote in with the Bakeneko. It just tickled my fancy honestly.

Well, firstly I must admit some disappointment in the number of votes for what really was a great contest. Lots of great entries. But to those of you who did take the time to vote, you guys rock, thank you!

That being said, it's time to announce a winner, and this time it is also my pick of the contest as well. The Symbolist is the winner, and I must say, it is an excellent piece of work, as it has both depth and variety. This allows for many different combinations of play, and it has the ability to be expanded for other Sacred Beasts if someone wanted to add them. All in all, a great work zagan, and congrats on your victory.

I'm very proud of this victory and being both the winner and Errant's pick is awesome.

Thanks to Hyooz, MammonAzrael and mrcarter11 for their vote. And to Errant for making my class his choice.
