Armor and speed penelties

I have a character that I want to have the quick trait with (+10 feet movement/ -1hp at level up) and want to were medium armor. Is my speed still reduced to 20, or will it be reduced to 30?

It should be reduced from 40 to 30, similar to how a barbarian can wear medium armor and still move at 30 feet.
