Just curious: What type of weapon could a 22foot (7meter) iron pole be if it were indeed designed to be a big weapon. I don't want to hear 'improvised weapon', I want to hear something like what size category light/heavy/war mace it would be in addition to any other weapons it could conceivably be.

It has to do with fighting gods in an original setting. Don't ask how someone is expected to wield it.

Gargantuan Mace/Quarterstaff sounds like the right analysis.

I am sorry, but improvised weapon is what it would be by the rules. Maybe bump it up it a bit as its solid iron, but it is not designed as a weapon.

Seems like a Caber (Sword and Fist, don't think it was updated) made out of Iron. That's probably how someone would end up wielding it.

Huge (iron) quarterstaff, 2d6/2d6.

Huge kanabō (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Kanabo_%283.5e_Equipment%29), 4d6.

Huge (iron) greatclub, 3d8.

Gargantuan (iron) club, 3d6.

Quarterstaves are usually the height of the wielder, give or take about 2 feet in either direction. So we'll assume that's about 30-45% of the wielder's height in either direction.

Huge creatures are between 16 and 32 feet in height, so a 22ft pillar is the perfect size to be a quarterstaff for the median range of Huge (18-26 feet is likely).

That's assuming it's fairly thin, proportionally. If it's thick, it could make a Light or Heavy Mace for a creature of colossal size, although it lacks the size and mass to be a Greatclub for such a creature. It could also be a Caber or possiblye a Greatclub for a Garguantuan creature.

+1 for Caber. Furthermore, you could just give it it's own stats as a weapon.

2-Handed Exotic Weapon
2d4 (Sm), 2d6 (Md), x2 Crit, Melee Reach 15, Monk Weapon. Immune to rust effects since the real Pillar of Delhi has resisted corrosion for 1600 years.

For specialness, I'd put in some elements of Monkey's Nyoi-Bo from Journey to the West that lets it resize at will...

+1 for Caber.
So, you're saying it's a masterwork caber? :smallcool:

I'd check to see if anyone's stated up Sun Wukong. This sounds almost exactly like the Ruyi Jingu Bang.
