The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a small room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, a torch is already lit, resting in a sconce near the room's single door.

Common takes some time to acquaint himself with all of his new animal friends.

His puppies were reared to have the Weapon Focus (Claw) feat instead of Stealthy, except for Sparky, who has the Toughness feat. All have the Multiattack feat from being Magebred. They are thick-skinned breeds for +2 natural armor.

His rats were reared to have the Weapon Focus (Bite) feat instead of Stealthy, and have the Alertness feat from being Magebred. They are thick-skinned breeds for +2 natural armor.

Common carefully pulls two little leather jerkins over Sparky and Ginger, puts a torch in Tom's mouth, then throws the pooch on a flyby path past the already lit torch. Hey, it works in Zelda games, right?

Ok, make a melee touch attack roll using him, and a ranged one for yourself, and I'll see if you pulled it off...

Common grabs a rat and takes to the air. She flies above the door, flips upside down, and pokes the door with a rattus norvegicus. If nothing happens, the animal parade lines up at the door, torch-bearing puppy first, and Common slides the door open.

The door opens to reveal a 5' square room, with a note hanging from the ceiling, around 10-15' from the ground.

After shooing the dogs back a ways, Common attempts to read the note.

...of course, he's illiterate, so this likely does not go over well.

Passed save.

The torch still didn't move in the slightest, it seems like it's completely fixed to the bracket..

EDIT: Ninja.

You do indeed wrench it about and reveal the secret door. It and half of the bracket come off in your hands, and the wall falls inwards, revealing a door.

To the west:

Split north after 5', dead end after 15'.

To the east: turns south after 25', with an odd looking wall at the north of that corner.

"Come along children, we're going for a walk!"

Common scoots inside the room briefly, waiting for his powers of flight to return. While inside, he scoops up Sparky and a rat.

After zipping outside and fifteen feet down the hall, he chucks the rat at the strange looking wall. Everyone else follows along; rats on the walls at +5 elevation, four to a square, puppies in a trailing line behind. Common flies along at +5 elevation, and has sufficient flight for three more rounds.

Common flies to "F-5" +10 elevation, flips upside down, and launches Sparky at the kobold's square.

[roll0] vs AC 5 to hit a square, [roll1] splash miss on miss.

Blackie runs forward, entering the kobold's square, provoking an AoO if it has combat reflexes. Regardless, he noms the kobold. [roll2] vs flatfooted AC for 1 damage.

Checking result of Sparky toss...

Sparky full attacks the kobold.

Puppies have 30 ft movespeed, which allows all three remaining in the hallway to reach the kobold's square (20 ft, 25 ft, and 30 ft of movement, respectively) and make a claw attack.

Ginger claw: [roll3] for 1 damage.
Scrappy claw: [roll4] for 1 damage.
Jack claw: [roll5] for 1 damage.

The remaining nine rats fill up E-3, E-4, D-4, and C-4, two to a space, with one in F-4.

The attacking creatures are forced out of the kobold's space after entering it, the kobold not being large enough for them to occupy the space more permanently. I don't particularly care where they end up; each rat space can hold two more tiny creatures.

the corridor east goes a LONG way. After 10', there's a split north, which is also a long corridor, with the door to the kobold's room on the west wall after 35'.
