I just dont know a lot about Paladins or the necromancy school. In your opinion are the good or bad?

Necromancy isn't evil, but some of its spells are... Not much more to say.

So basically Necromancy has some good spells but not that many?

They combine to create something greater.

It's called Bone Knight.

Do you mean mechanically or fluff-wise?

Fluff is pretty subjective, but mechanically, the Necromancy school is generally regarded as being pretty good. Some good debuffs and of course, minion creation. It's spellcasting, so it's not like you can do anything mechanically wrong there.

The Paladin is pretty bad. Not unplayable, but in any game with a modicum of optimization, they're going to be outclassed. I'd look up either Fax's or maybe OneWinged4ngel's Paladin if you want a good fix.

And the Paladin Code is just a whole can of worms I don't want to get into. Talk to your DM before you use it.

Warblades and crusaders. Barbarians are decent as well.

Crusader and warblade from Tome of Battle are very good at this. If you want core, Saph's horizon tripper (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80415) isn't precisely a meat shield, but it's as versatile a melee character as you'll get in core, and he can keep enemies from getting to your squishier friends.

Edit: Ack! Swordsages!

I think the other way around, actually. Most stuff besides undead creation isn't evil.

Also, you can be neutral and use evil spells for good causes. A paladin may not like it, but I think the code just says they can't adventure with anyone they know has an evil alignment. Not sure where it falls on neutral that uses evil spells.
