At the start of all there was nothing, a vast and empty place that was neither vast nor empty as the concepts for each did not exist. It was silent without being silent and peaceful without being peaceful and it remained in this state until it was changed, for there was no way to measure the distance of time before the event transpired. But the serene and implacable Mu was disrupted as if a ripple on the surface of a lake and with a single motion that Mu expanded into glorious colors and shapes to the sounds of the universes birth. Aman-Rul was born then from nothing and was the nothing before time, he was the first and the only in the colors and sound. Aman-Rul looked about at the creation it found itself in and knew that its chaos needed order in equal measure.

And Aman-Rul divided the heavens and the earth with a single act, creating a single orb in the expanse that was in fact himself. He filled this world with possibility and let it spin as he dreamd. But his dreams were filled with nothing and this grew wearying to himself, and so he created on the surface of the world two men and two women and called them Gods. And for a time such things went as he wished but the gods started to war against themselves and to destroy the world they were creatd to protect and this angered him greatly. And as he rose from his eternal dreaming he struck the earth and all upon it so that they would cease their destruction.

But it was not his way to keep things as such, and from the corpses of the fallen he birthed fourth four children each to carry on the legacy of their fathers and mothers. Even he though could not wipe the hate from the bones of the Progenitors, even he could not clean what had been tainted by Godly anger. And it was thus that the four and four were born to Him, The Creator Aman-Rul and the Goddesses of Beauty and the Gods of Valor. But from this act came more, created by Aman-Rul himself, for they would act as none before could, against the creation they were created for.

From The Ventus Scrolls
When mighty Ichish were spawned from the hand of Aman-Rul, he was floating in the aether. And he saw that he was meant to float on the winds, so he went into the world, and he created a big landmass in the corner of the sea. And in the middle of this land he created a mountain so huge it rose into the heavens, and he called it the Ventus Mons. And on the land and the mountain he created a desert so barren, nothing could live there. But on the mountaintop there was snow.

And he sat on the mountaintop which was in the skies, and he fanned the winds with his fan.

And he also created a series of many islands around his land, and he called them the Ventus Fructus. And on half of them he created a lush jungle, and on the others a fertile farmland.

And in the mountain's desert he set the winds themselves to guard it safely.

And on the biggest island he set a mysterious contraption, carved from wood and with a billowing sheet of skin, and it was the first boat.

And he set loose on the wind a thousand different beings, that we know as birds

And in the skies he placed a gargantuan creature, who would guard the skies for all eternity, and he called it Cloud

And finally he created on the sea a creature as a sign of his friendship with the sea lord, Artreus, and he called it wave.

And he blew the winds from his mountaintop, and he floated on them, but he sat also on the mountaintop.

Gareth awoke, and the first thing he noticed was the silence. There was no noise where he was. It was deafening. The silence was driving the god crazy. So he began to whistle. A beautiful tune began to escape his lips as he looked around.

He now noticed what his brother was up to. He saw the land he had made, and the creatures upon it. He knew what he needed to do. He approached his brother, whistling the whole way. As he approached, he stopped, and asked "brother, you have created creatures of great beauty, but they have no voices. Perhaps I could give them a gift, so that they may take it everywhere."

Gareth would like to give the birds [and the world] the gift of music

With his brothers blessing, Gareth let lose a beautiful tune, whistling into his brother's wind, teaching the birds to sing, and to carry their tunes all over the land.

After he had taught the birds to sing, Gareth had an idea. He too would add to this new land being created. He pulled out a gleaming trumpet, and a pure note let forth. As it did, a large land mass appeared, with enough water between it and Icish's island to give him privacy. The land was quickly covered with small, grass covered hills, and a large forest leading to a large Mountain range covered in snow. Beneath the mountain, Gareth placed gems of all sizes and colors, and various metals that pleased him.

As Gareth viewed this landmass, he noticed it too was quiet. So he made creatures to populate it. Small animals to dig through the soil, and move among the trees. And he gave them voices, so they could sing the songs of the forest.

Luciverta stretched. His muscles hadn't a bit of tension but the act gave him some idea on his forms limits.
'Things are happening already I see", he mused. 'All this creation. How can I do similar? Is there a way I can brighten things up? Share my brilliance to all? Perhaps... Lets try a few things.'

Luciverta put some distance between himself and the quickly changing land below. He stared out into the void and pulled a part of himself into physical being. His creation was immense and spilled light onto the world below him. Luciverta smiled. But as he watched and thought, his smile fell and a frown replaced it. 'There's only light reaching one side. But my creation which I'll call Gul, is splendid indeed.' Once again pulling on his powers he created another sun on the opposite side of the world. This he called Lug.

Smiling again, he watched for a moment to see the effect his gifts would have on things below.

From the Dark Books

Aman-Rul created the world and the gods. But his world was filled with darkness and emptiness. And Vu sat in the dark spaces, and he saw nothing. And he was filled with sadness.

Vu watched as the gods shaped the world, and created caves and mountains, and filled them with secrets and treasures. And Vu sat in the dark spaces, and coveted their secrets. But he could not see them in the darkness.

There was a god called Luciverta, who was Vu's brother. And Luciverta spoke, and light appeared in the sky. And it was called Gul. And Vu blinked, and saw all the world's secrets. But as he saw them, he knew they were secrets no more. And he was filled with sadness.

The world spun, and it happened that Gul's light no longer fell on the world. And Vu rejoiced, knowing that his secrets were secrets once again. But Luciverta created another light, which he called Lug. And there was no dark spaces anywhere for Vu to hide his secrets. And he was angered.

Vu bounced through interplanar space, looking for his counterpart. There was no space here and so no physical forms, but if there had been, Vu's would have been shaking in anger. Vu quickly found the mind he was looking for, looking serenely at his own handiwork. Vu stormed up to him.

"Luciverta, what do you think you're doing? You've just given this world two suns!"

Then he paused, and realised how idiotic that sounded. He collected himself - this was no way to behave in front of his brother. Emotions should not be allowed to control him like that. He tried again, more calmly.

"Sorry. It just seems like a bad idea to me. It's a improvement over eternal darkness, certainly, but temporary darkness has its uses. Let me see... It provides a basic unit of time, it lets people to make their own light, it lets a greater variety of animals flourish, it determines a time to rest... I won't pretend I don't like the darkness on its own terms, but there are other reasons to change things."

Vu thought for a moment. "Insects! Think of insects. If you make a light, you get moths that fly towards the light. That's good. But if you make darkness, you get fireflies that make their own light. That's better, isn't it? Surely?"

"We don't have to destroy Lug or anything. We could just make it dimmer. Or... we could move it to a different place in the sky, so that there are times when both suns are up and times when they're both down. What do you think?"

Upon seeing what his brothers had created, Cathan adds to it, making a land of volcanoes, caves and mountains, with one immense volcano in the centre. Here, the future people of the world could obtain the fire and heat neccessary for industry, for taking the gifts that his brother Gareth bestowed upon the world and making them into tools, into weapons, to develop. They could also get certain types of stone, formed from the lava that flows here. He then takes some of his own elemental power, forming them into physical forms, that he sends to the new land. They will watch over this land, protect it, and teach those that come after the secrets of flame and lava. He also makes two structures out of flame, lava and obsidian - one near the edge of the new land, facing towards his brothers' land, the other in the centre of the land, in a large cave in the huge volcano, sheltered from the lava that may come from it. In each of those two structures, he makes a portal, linking the two structures. Here, the people could easily get into the land. In the structure by the edge of his land, he makes a new being, a canine, yet somewhat humanoid, being created out of lava and obsidian. This creation, Ulfreldr, will protect the structures, defending it from those that Cathan doesn't think should have use of the land.

He then goes to his brother, Gareth, and asks "Would you give your gift of metals and gems to the land I have created? We can start to build the foundations that those who will reside in our land will need to grow and develop past using wood and stone. Especially near the centre, near my structure. That will be where the people will come from."

Semta sat in space oblivious to the changing world behind him until Gul was created and light flew past him. So he turned and watched Gul for an undetermined amount of time till he noticed the light of Lug crossing in front of him. Upon tuning to see Lug Semta finally saw the world and quickly proceeded to do absolutely nothing to change it.

Instead he tried to recreate what its surface looked like in his mind, and it leaked out creating a landscape that most normal people would recognize as not normal. He called it puɐן (Perfectly Usual Earthly Lookalike). From there he continued to watch the world take shape.

Robichaux waited, watching the flurry of creation. Islands, deserts, mountains, all boring things to him. He wanted movement, unpredictability. And so, he resolved to have it.

Away from where the other gods were creating, Robichaux created a cloud. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, the cloud began to grow until it covered several miles of ocean in every direction. Still not content, Robichaux darkened it in spots, creating sections of storms. And, for effect, Robichaux made the great mass spin. Parts drifted off, going in whatever direction they pleased, bringing fog, wind, rain, and lightning until they exhausted themselves.

Robichaux was content. He had created a serene maelstrom of clouds, rain, wind, and lightning that would give birth to storms and weather of all kinds. He had brought movement and unpredictability to the world, even if it was only a little.

It stirred as the heavens were rent and the old Gods were slain and made anew in flesh. It had not existed then but it did now though it did not know what this meant. It spied the actions of its fellow Gods and it grinned, for their works were solid yet oh so frail. It was jealous of the God’s creations for he did not know how to do as they did, only mimic as he tried to rail against all he saw. But his silence was short lived and he made like a slithering thing to the sides of Vu like a many fingered hand of darkness and in his mind it whispered forth.

“Your bother has made light all over the world and you show him respect…change one of his precious creations to suit your needs…and tell him it is merely the way of things. A brotherly aid and nothing more. Nothing more between you.”

And but a whisper, ever a whisper the twisted God-Shadow spiraled back into a place between the planes and the mortal world and the space they lived in and it dwelled there with a snicker as it thought on the many seeds it would plant. But it would have to be wise, very wise, to walk between the Pantheons as a friend and ally. How to trick them and trap them so they each would fall and all their works would be his…it would take time, more time then he had at the moment for sure but he would have it then and soon enough if anything were to tip the scales his way.

Luciverta turned his sibling. "There can be secrets in light. As well there are yet many places my gift hasn't reached." His eyes searched as he said this as if looking for his next place to brighten. "I meant nothing against you brother, and will gladly pause my actions if you'd like to discuss a mutually beneficial course of action."

Gareth smiled at his brother Cathan's creations, and replied

I would gladly give you some of the metals and gems I have created. They are beautiful and beauty should be shared with everyone

Gareth once more raised his trumpet to his lips and let forth a clear note of unrivaled purity. As the music traveled throughout the air and into the mountains Cathan had made, Gems and Metals of all sorts appeared scattered throughout his mountains.

Once that was done, Gareth looked at the creations of his brothers, and noticed the prescence of their helpers, and he thought that he too needed someone to help take care of this land he had created. He began taking a tree from the forest he had created, and giving it a shape that allowed for manipulation of objects, and legs to allow it to move throughout the land. He decided to name him Ent.

Chemoch watched as his fellow gods shaped the world according to their own whims and natures, a silent arbiter who had domain over the newfound birds when they were dashed against the rocks, or swallowed by the sea. Wasteful, purposeless, the birds could not even begin to consume the grains and the plants which died and decayed.

It would not do.

With a wave of his staff, and a gesture of his hand, Chemoch rose a new land. Large and fertile, it was situated far from his fellow's islands. Next he created new creatures, to prey on the plants that grew so bountifully, and others to prey on the unwary birds and slowest beasts. In this way, he brought purpose to the land.

From The Tablets of Reflections

And so it was that Artreus looked upon the world and its creations. The chaos of it all. The Eternal Storm of Robichaux, Lug and Gul of Luciverta, the puɐן of Semta, and all the other creations. It saddened him to see that nowhere was there to simply sit and think and enjoy simple, peaceful, serenity, a side of creation none of the other gods seemed quite as interested in. It was from this thought that he created His own lands from a single drop onto the ocean, as from this drop onto the water, and much like the ripples of a droplet, rolled land lush, green, forested, and hilly, filled with calm, placid lakes and quiet, roaming rivers. Artreus decided to name this land Aequus. After this, he then filled the water, both of the sea and water of land, of creatures big and small, as to help fill the emptiness of the oceans. As to why, Artrues, Lord of Thought, quite simply felt that it would help to create a more complete world, thinking ahead of the mortals that may someday inhabit it.

Vu hesitated for a moment. He'd sensed a presence, heard it speak to him. Yet he couldn't tell where it had come from or where it had gone. Its voice was not one he recognised either. Vu smiled to himself. Perhaps an ally to recruit, or at least a resource to exploit. A mystery to solve, certainly.

He turned his attention back to Luciverta. "I don't mean to quarrel, but there is much to do and little time to do it in. We shall continue our conversation later. For now, I will leave with this." Vu exerted his power, moving Lug so that it orbited closely around Gul. It dimmed a little, too. Now the world had two suns, but both rose and set at the same time. It occurred to Vu that the eclipses would be worth seeing. "You can change it back if you want. I have to go now, though. I'll see you later, brother."

Vu cast out his senses to find the Whisper, but it was either hidden or too far away. No matter; he could be patient. For now, a world was being built, and he had work to do.

First, he was growing tired of being incorporeal. Perhaps he would learn to enjoy it as his power increased, but for now he decided he would need a plane in which he could manifest safely.

From the Dark Books

And so Vu made for himself a home. He made a space first, and placed grey islands in it. And the islands flew into the air, and moved about one another, so that no map can be drawn of the space. And Vu filled the space with mist, to hide what was in plain sight. And the mist shone with an inner light, to reveal what was hidden away. And Vu created a dwelling on an island, and rested awhile. And he called this place the Shifting Mists.

And it came to pass that Vu sat in the darkness of the night, and found it too dark for his taste. So he tore a hole in the sky, through which the swirling light of the Shifting Mists could be seen. And it was a dim light, which gave the world shape but no colour. And this pleased Vu greatly.

Luciverta watched his brother move his creations with a bit of anger. But he never let the emotion show. 'There are other ways to achieve my goals...'

"Fair enough. If he wants to mess with my gifts to the world. I'll let his slight pass for one time only." Giving some thought to this matter at hand a few subtle ideas occurred.
First he flung out his hand and tossed a fine sparkling dust upon the world. But instead of dust, small creatures of light scattered around the land. Enough to shed light into the small places that his suns couldn't reach.

Sai'Yang: Abounds

Sai'Yang continued to watch from that dark space, taking it's name for itself from the words the other Gods had woven. In time it would reveal itself but for now the latent hate that yet lingered in their forms, his very birthing existence, was more then enough to amuse him. He coiled out much like dark smoke into that space though hid from the light for it was the Sun God he wished to addle now.

"Brother has committed a crime against you...surely a noble man like yourself cannot yet let that pass...no...cannot let it pass. If over such a simple thing he defied your will...what will he do when things much larger in scope break down."

His movement was fleeting and before a breath could be drawn he flitted back deep into the Twilight, laughing as the Moon tried to hunt for him. He would not be found, not yet.

The Whisper

The Whisper echoed it's creators words and for a time it lay dormant on the Mortal Plane, but in time it found other voices, other songs ringing forth and it sought them in silence as it hid to in the dark spaces. It whispered in hushed tones to the elementals to rebel and they were taken with madness unknown before. They were driven insane by the constant whisper, the constant sounds of silk on silk and the ever present feeling that would never leave them until they were destroyed.

And while they did not work in harmony as before, they spread their taint to others and so their numbers while small did all they could to destroy the work of the Gods only as mortals can.

From The Acatonoiticon, By Lahazzed the Mad.
Aman-Rul was created from Mu, but Mu did not exist, because in Mu there was no such thing as existence. And time was not yet born in Mu, but in the time that did not exist between Mu and Aman-Rul, a shadow was born of the paradox of creation. And the shadow bore no name, and it was called Na.

And on the first day Na walked the earth.

And Na went to the ocean where Artreus' creatures dwelt, and he touched one of them, and its shape rippled. And it grew a dozen dozen tentacles, and each tentacle was lined with teeth, but the creature's body disappeared in a mass of appendages. And it bore no name, and therefore it was called a Deep One. And it dwelt in the deepest caverns of the sea, and it bred there.

And Na went to the forest where Gareth's creature's dwelt, and he touched one of them, and its shape rippled. And its limbs multiplied until they numbered a dozen, and they became tentacles. And on their end was the creature's claws, sharpened so that they could dig through flesh or soil alike. And it dug trough the ground to the deepest recesses of the earth, and it dwelt and bred there. And it's flesh grew pallid in the darkness, and it's eyes grew big. And it became known as an Oroch

Vu sat in the Shifting Mists, in physical form. He'd made himself a small house, which was warm and fairly comfortable. Vu liked being incarnate; it felt reassuring.

He looked at the world and watched the other gods make their creations. He'd decided against making his own continent. Let others do that; he'd improve on their work later.

He looked around to try and find the creature whose voice he had heard while he spoke with Luciverta. It didn't seem to be in the mortal world, and it certainly wasn't in the Mists. Vu was getting a little frustrated; the cosmos was a big place, and his power was feeble. Hiding from one such as him was no great feat. (Perhaps he should increase his personal power? He made a note of it.) Oh, no doubt he would find this spy eventually, certainly if it spoke to him again, but it would take time. And Vu did not have enough time to spare.

Still, for now he was alone. There was nobody else in this plane, and as far as he could tell, he wasn't being watched. Perfect.

Vu concentrated. A fragment of his being curled off him, and hung in the air like smoke for a few seconds, before solidifying into a large black bird with pure silver eyes. It looked at him expectantly.

"I have a task for you", said Vu. "Find me the being that eavesdropped while I spoke with my brother. Search every plane you can access, and report back to me when you find its location, its origin, its name, and particularly its objectives. Stay hidden from it and the other gods; one of them may have sent it."

The bird inclined its head in what was probably a bow. Then it flapped its wings once, and vanished.

Rogue, birthed with the essence of life, simply watched as other gods began to meld the earth under them. The amount of life, from the fire and magma elementals, to the birds and the beasts Rogue simply emitted waves of delight as other gods brought their creations into view.

Infused with the energy of life, Rogue sought to bring her own creation to the world.

First, Rogue chose a distant patch of water, and infused it with the positive energy in her being. An island grew into being. To honor the creations of the other gods, she took some and spawned them on the planar island.

But something was missing, and she wanted creatures in her own image, to play in the island she created.

To satisfy that need, she planted seeds, that swiftly bloomed and produced pixies. As it blossomed, tiny pixies emerged, as wardens of the land. And she created two luscious plants that bore a jellylike and a hard fruit, so they wouldn't need to be hungry.

Rogue continued to watch, and fill the land with life.

Gareth looked at the creations of the others and smiled, though he worried about the odd creatures created by Na. What purpose could such being have? But he pushed that worry aside as he realized what else he wanted to make. His rodents were wonderful creatures, but not enough of them were taking advantage of the ground. He knew what he wanted to do.

He began to whistle a tune, and as he did, the dust in the planes began to levitate, then the particles began to change into small creatures with armored bodies and wings. Some were wingless and crawled on the plants. But these creatures were agents of change for the god.

His tune continued as some of his rodents began to change, there bodies elongating, there teeth changing. Some took to the water as others began to burrow into the ground. As his tune ended, Gareth smiled at his new creations.

Sai'Yang: The Twilight Expanse

The Seeker did find what it sought, for Sai'Yang could not flee that which was actively searching for it. And is regarded the black bird that flapped in the dim world he dwelt in. He would need to meet this thing in person...this Vu that was already desiring contact with him. He would need a form better than what he had now, and with a simple act he sent himself into the Moon God's realm in a flurry of smoke and the sound of flutes and trumpets.

And when the smoke did clear, a man of middling age stood solid before Vu the Moon God, hair the length of the floor and the color of copper. He dressed in stately clothing, his skin the color of tilled earth and his eyes like twin green lanterns. He did not speak above a whisper but his voice filled the room. And it was from this moment that trails of wispy fog clung to the creature known as Sai'Yang, and those who breathed it in if they were of mortal make would forever be imbued with gifts above their common people. In time it would be called Magic but for now, the Mortal World was young and had no one to speak the words of it.

"Honorable Vu...you grace me with your desire...how may I be of service to you... Perhaps to commemorate such an event...Ah yes, I know!"

And from his own body did Sai'Yang pull forth the most glorious of thread and wove it ever lovingly into a powerful suit of armor that shone with gold and silver with rubies and all the precious stones of the earth. But it was not Sai'Yangs nature to give gifts, and the Armor he created while powerful and would grant a God prowess in combat also came at a toll, its gems would act as eyes and allow Sai'Yang to see the users every move. But he hid this facet deep into the very center of what the Armor was, to hide much like himself deep in plain sight.

"For you mighty Vu, a glorious armor to wear in combat should the need ever come..."

And in secret, the simple act of stepping forth outside his Plane in full spiraled out and behind him in Vu's realm the creatures of Sai'Yang spilled out in waves. Lean and tall though featureless, the creatures appeared almost like the Gods themselves, two legs and two arms with a head. But they were false, merely reflections of Sai'Yangs inability to create. And on the Mortal Plane the earth trembled in the high places and Giants swept into creation from the bones of the earth. And from the mud that rose as cast off flesh did the hungry dog like men first come, biting and snarling loudly as they sought to devour and eat all that they could and thus it was commanded by Sai'Yang deep into their mind that they would make war on all living creatures.

"We are all here to serve...

Robichaux had pleased himself with his Eternal Storm, but it could only provide so much joy. He had to do more if he was to be seen as equal to the other gods.

Robichaux manifested himself in the Mortal World. He had never before taken a shape on this plane, and was uncertain as his being transferred from aether. Robichaux appeared above his Storm as a glowing blue orb, misshapen enough to look casual and nonchalant. He looked out on the expanse of clouds around him and made a large hole in the center.

Robichaux paused for a moment before acting. He pulled from the ocean a small island with a mountain tall enough to pass through the opening in the storm he had created. And down the mountain, Robichaux sent a great flood, creating terraces and streams on the cliffs and rivers and ponds on the land. He then covered the land with grass, trees, and other plants, filling it with life.

And with one last act, Robichaux created a great bird to protect the island and guide any creature that would live there. The bird had black and white wings bigger than many animals, peace plumage, and a pink bill and feet. Robichaux smiled on his creation, instilling in it some of his divinity.

Once again satisfied, Robichaux left the mortal world and returned to the aether.

Gareth was happy with his creations, and trusted Ent to protect them while he set about making a home for himself. He knew that if he set foot onto the creation, his existence would rip it apart. He needed to make a home for himself. He once more pulled out his trumpet, and found an empty plane connected to his creation through the portal he viewed through.

As he let forth a beautiful note, a small plateau sprang up out of the nothing with extensive tunnels throughout and a small castle made out of the rock of the plateau itself sprang up. On top of the plateau, Gareth brought his creations, as well as some of his brother's birds. and created a large forest for them to live in. And he smiled at his new home.

Well, I figure Gareth needed his own plane too

Ent noticed his father's absence, and sensed that he was to protect this place as he worked elsewhere. Ent groaned and his body creaked as he began to move from his spot, his feet having rooted into place while he slept. He noticed that the creatures of Gareth's creation lacked something to keep them in check, and he decided he would try to create as well. Ent began to sculpt creatures out of the soil, and these creatures were canine in appearance, and were tasked with keeping the creatures of the forest in check.

Watching the flurry of creation, Semta noticed how empty puɐן was. Though there were trees, grass and flowing water there was no life in it.

Patting the ground next to him “Time to wake up now”

“Mmm” there was a sensation like all of puɐן rolled over.

“Come on don’t sleep through all of existence.”

“N’other eon.”

“No, we need to get up now, there are things to do people to see.”

“people?” The form of a young child rose from the earth. It sat there drowsy looking at Semta.

“Yes my siblings, I would like you to ask them a question for me.”

Eyes beaming “OK!” the child made of earth ran into the nearby trees and vanished from sight.

A moment passed and then there was a tug on Semta’s robe. The source was a child of wood and stone, its head hung low from embarrassment, “What’s the question?”

“I would like to know if they would be willing to let me create a connection between here and their lands or planes. You should go a few different ways to find them.”

Narxa

Stones flew through the air and sticks cracked against bone as the first mortal battle had arisen. The conscious battle between two beings was a bewilderment to many, and the start of a long journey toward destruction wrought with blood an iron. Blood flowed along the ground as the gnolls fought for what little they had, and broken bodies lay in the dirt. But this would awake something, something which had not been seen in the mortal world. Conflict (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw2VDWB-u2Y)

Out of the dirt and spilled blood rose a power, the power of war. The gnolls looked on in awe at what would soon become a god as their flesh was stripped from them. Dying screams pierced the heavens as Narxa took their energies as his own. Sword in hand he slew the rest of the miserable creatures, hacking limbs and severing soul from body. When the pile of corpses towered in the plains he stopped, one measly gnoll left cowering in fear and yet with a sense of reverence.

Soon the gnoll stood to the god, weapon raised and ready to strike down upon what he only saw to be an enemy. "You fear your death like any other. Yet your bretheren lay at your feet and you still wish to fight. There is hope for you, child." Comes the booming voice of the god, as a hand reaches out to rest against the creature's chest, the divine power flowing through and empowering the monster. "You will show the world of my power, Brok'tu. Carry my power well, and fight in the name of your new master."

As Brok'tu lay writhing on the ground, the divine power causing his muscles and bone to change, Narxa appears in the middle of the northeastern ocean, concentrating his power into the minerals of the sea and bringing forth a desolate tundra of land.

Chemoch looked as his fellow gods shaped planes and their earth. His own siblings even appeared to be in conflict. The world itself appeared to be in chaos, lands rising and new creatures coming into being each moment. Their lives were often barbaric and short, especially the newly created creatures which thought in their own fashion.

First, he and his would need a home. A true home, to distance them from the mortal and the chaos inherent in it. Out of the formless void beyond the existing dimensions, he wrought a new plane. It took the form of a strange city, neither large nor small. Filled with a light that permeated the air, and shadows that clung to the very walls of every building. In the center, he rose a large building and in the center he placed a table. The Caelic table, from here would his pantheon meet. He left most of the rest of the Plane to reflect the gods currently walking it, for Rogue it would bustle with the sounds of life, for Vu the twists and alleys would turn dark and secret, for Luciverta it would shine with the most brilliant light. The only unchanging fixture would be the table at the center.

Done with this task, he turned his attention back to the mortal world and grew dissatisfied with the state of the beings in it. The Gnolls warred, their lives and potential wasted as the young were murdered before accomplishing anything. That would change.

First, Chemoch created a new plane. He could not reverse death, nor would he ever choose to. But the deaths of mortals were so chaotic and lacked purpose, there had to be a way to fix that. He mixed his own powers into the very being of the plane, infusing it into something completely devoid of life. He went even further, making the energy of the plane something so opposed to life it would infuse dead creatures with the opposite. A plane to create undeath, to infuse the dead with purpose once more.

In the place of the first battle, a place that had birthed the concept of war, Chemoch linked his new plane to the mortal world. In this place, those who fell would be lifted back to purpose, death would be no bar to them. The dead of the first battle rose in legion, to guard the place in part and to seek out other dead things. The rotting, the wasted, the unrealized and bring them back so they too might one day serve a greater purpose.

Book of the Divine: Artreus and the Creation of Pangaia, Home of the Epigeian Council

And so it was, none of the Earthen Gods, the Epigeians, had a place to meet and discuss freely events, plans, and numerous other godly things. It is believed that this is why Artreus had decided to create Pangaia, home of the Epigeian Council, founded soon after the plane's creation.
Of course, no mere mortal has ever been to this realm, although there have been some reports of those who have glimpsed of the plane in visions, which all seem to report nearly the same thing:
"A vast, incomprehensible landscape made of every primal element in all of their various manifestations, but all in equal measure. This landmass is constantly shifting. Where there once was a massive mountain, may dissolve into dunes of sand, and then into a small pond, and into endless other forms. There is even land where it should not be: in the sky itself. This chaos stretches in all directions for infinity, endless, ordered, chaos. In addition to the elemental shifting, the landscape is filled with the creatures made by all of the Epigeian gods, similarly shifting into other forms as the land shifts under them.
"In the center of this infinity, however, there remains the thrones of each of the Councilors, all unchanging with regards to the land around them, and all made up purely of the elements that their respective gods rule over. The thrones are set up in a circular pattern, with a perfect replica of the mortal realm, and the heavenly bodies that surround it. It is here that the council meets and discusses their affairs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Excerpt From: Matters of the Mind: The Origins of Psionics

"...It is popular belief that the creator of the Psionic capabilites within mortals was made possible by Artreus. Before there were mortals, when the world was young, it is said that Artreus was in despair from the lack of higher thought that the godly creations. Thus he created Whims, motes of thought given a (vaguely) physical form. These whims were thoughts, notions, deep philosophical considerations, and all other manifestations of thought, directly from the mind of Artreus himself. It is later, when we mortals came about, that these Whims of Artreus would merge with individuals, granting them Psionic capabilities. Many believe that these Whims, pure divine thought, unlock the deep recesses of the mortal mind, which is where the power to manipulate the world around us (psionics). It is unknown as to whether or not this was originally the intention of the Lord of Thought, or if it was simply to fill the world with some sort of higher thinking.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Artreus gazed down at the mortal realm, watching on the events of the first conflict, and the creation of the Narxa and Brok'tu. And then he gazed longer at the corpses left after the conflict. And he saw as they had risen, husks of their former selves... This worried Artreus, and he had questions he needed answered, to which he turned to Chemoch and asked, "I gaze upon these husks you have created and wonder: have they no mind of their own? Do they realize what has become of them?"

'A place of rest would be welcome. Somewhere quiet, somewhere I won't be bothered.' Luciverta dims out completely fading from view.

Instead of disappearing tho, he's only moved to a place he brings instantly into being. A place of brightness, a home.
A large castle of solid glowing blocks stands in the center, stoic and martial in it's design. 'This will do nicely between my meanderings. Now on to other means of self-contentedness.'
Forming a spearlike object and a shield, Luciverta grins broadly. Both glow, but unlike the white that has been used in most of his other creations, these are chrome. Adding to these of the same color and design are a suit of armor and crown.

Reappearing outside the mortal realm Luciverta paused. "I think we shall right a wrong first." With a movement of his arm, Lug repositioned itself opposite from Gul. Then it also disappeared. But a careful observer would just make it out on different wavelengths, for now Lug is only giving off Infrared, ultraviolet, and other non visible forms of light.

Vu stood for a few moments, holding the Armour of Heavenly Purpose in his hands. He examined it briefly, but could not find anything out of place; as far as he could see, it was exactly what Sai'Yang had said it to be. A suit of armour, nigh-indestructible and granting its wearer great skill in combat.
"I... did not expect such kindness. Truly, I am grateful for your generous gift. But I don't understand why. You sought to drive me apart from my brother, not so long ago. That is, in fact, why I sent the Seeker to bring you here. Your actions make no sense to me. One moment you seek to control me without my knowledge, the next you appear in front of me bearing gifts and calling me mighty and honourable."
Vu thought for a moment. Now that he said it out loud... it did make sense after all. Sai'Yang wanted to influence him, to drive Vu to accomplish his goals for him. Perhaps out of a desire for power. Vu could understand that.
"Never mind. I think I see now. You are free to leave, if you wish. I need to put your gift to good use."
Vu made ready to leave. The Seeker flew towards him, and perched on his shoulder. Its essence flowed back into Vu, restoring his powers. Its body stiffened, and changed from flesh and blood to stone and metal. Vu now held a statue of a raven in his hands. He placed it on a shelf in his home - it had no further use to him, but it would make a good souvenir.

Taking the Armour of Heavenly Purpose, Vu disappeared from his plane. The universe was changing around him faster than ever. He found Luciverta quickly, still looking at the suns. Or Gul anyway; Lug had moved. It was back where it had started, but invisible to most of the creatures below.
"Luciverta?"
Luciverta turned to face his brother. "What do you want now? Yes, I moved the sun back. That's why you're here, isn't it?"
"No, actually, it isn't. I even like the changes you've made, and thank you for that. Lug has a certain style now that it didn't before. No, I wanted to give you this."
He held out the suit of armour. Luciverta took it sceptically. "It's just to show, you know, no hard feelings. You're the God of Protection; armour would suit you well. And it's an artefact, so if you don't want to use it you can give it to your flock."
"If you want to talk further to me, I'll be in the new plane of the Caelic gods. I'm going to take a look around." And with that, Vu left.

He reappeared in a back alley of the Home Plane. Chemoch had good taste. The city appeared to be at sunset, bathed in orange light, with long shadows stretching through the deserted streets and alleys while the tops of buildings sparkled with reflected light. He moved quickly through the shadows, making his way to the palace at the center.
The palace was truly magnificent. After admiring the table for a moment, he selected a nearby doorway. A corridor was visible through it, but as Vu watched, it faded into impenetrable darkness. He stepped through it, and was back in his home in the Shifting Mists. The statue of the Seeker was still here. So was a small child apparently made of mud and cloudy water. Vu blinked.

"Another new face. Hello. Who are you, and why are you here?" asked Vu.
"I'm the Trail. It's nice to meet you. What's that around your neck?"
Vu looked. "That's just my pendant. Now, what-"
"It looks like a necklace."
"Well, I suppose it is a necklace. So, who are you?"
"I told you, I'm the Trail. Did you know you have a bird on your wall?"
"Yes, I know. Really though, where did you come from?"
"Semta sent me. Oh, right! I was supposed to ask you if I could make a portal from your world to me."
"To... you? But you're already here."
"Well, sort of. I'm in three places at once. Maybe four. But only one of them actually counts, and it's not this one."
Vu gave up on this line of inquiry. "Semta is sympathetic enough. I'll consider it."
"He's not sympathetic! He's a very nice guy."
"That's what I... never mind. You seem harmless enough, though I suppose you could just be wearing a very cunning façade."
"I don't think I'm wearing any clothes at all."
"If I make your portal, will you leave me in peace?"
The Trail's eyes sparkled. "Okay!"
"Fine." A wooden door appeared in the wall. Vu opened it to reveal a flat plain, with a few large flowers scattered here and there. There was a road leading up to the door, with another Trail sitting on it. This one was made of plants and earth. "Thanks!" he said.
"You're welcome." said Vu. He turned to the Trail in his house. "Are you going to go back out there now?"
"I am out here." said the Trail outside.
"I wasn't talking to you."
"Who else is here, then?" asked both the Trails.
"You!"
"Apart from me and you. You're funny."
"Are you going to leave me in peace now?"
"Oops. I forgot." blushed the Trail inside. "Sorry." Both Trails vanished. Vu closed the door, and sighed.

The divine power coursing through his veins had changed the young Gnoll forever. No longer was he frail and small like his former bretheren. Now he stood at a full seven feet, powerful arms wielding massive clubs the size of his former race. Great horns grew from his skull and made a frightening figure. No longer did he cower to the giants or the gnoll leaders. Now he wrestled even the greatest giants to the ground with ease. Soon a following had gathered, revering and practically worshiping Brok'tu the Immortal. Years passed and still he showed no signs of worry as he charged his enemies headlong.

His wives birthed weak gnoll children, and they had not the spirit for battle Brok'tu possessed.

And if things keep going as they have been, you might find a good use of it." The armor stayed in Luciverta's care tho, as Vu left before more arguments could come. But now, with those creatures –giants and gnolls he thought they were called- making war, Robichaux got an ominous impression. The world was still young. How could there be conflict already?

Robichaux feared that the chaos would spread to his own creations. Yes, he had created the storm to bring some chaos to the world, but it was meant to bring excitement, not unnecessary destruction. Why someone would want to tear the world apart for no reason whatsoever was unfathomable to him. Storms disrupted things, but there was always a calm before and after them.

Resolved to find out what was happening, Robichaux created another albatross, but this one was bigger and made of clouds. “Observe those…things in the mortal world. Then go to the pantheons and find out if they are behind the war. Do not rush though. We’d rather be thorough than act too quickly,” Robichaux commanded. Sai'Yang: The Twilight Expanse

Sai'Yang grinned, bowing slightly to the godling.

"Greetings youth and be welcome in my home. You have been using my toys to wage war which was their sole intent. Do you know me through your blood? You perhaps think yourself a God of such worldly conflicts but know that I am the God of War throughout. Your petty squables aid me, as a son aids his brithright and in time it shall fall to you to take up that mantle."

Sai'Yangs sweeps an arm about his domain, the inky blackness of the world forming towering spires that pierce the nonexistent sky like clawing fingers. A towering alter sits between the Gods though empty it is splattered with blood.

"This very world was created by Hate, and you shall propagate it. Every creature that is not of our blood must hold the taint deep inside itself, and all things created without this bitter energy must be painted with it as well. Nothing shall escape, God or otherwise. Find the one's not like the Sun and Moon, take the Sun and Moon's children and wage war on all else. Cast each as an enemy and we shall watch them all fall. That is my command to you holder of my blood."

"You may have had a hand in spawning me, but I owe you nothing. What I do will be for my own reasons, not for an order from you. I will propagate conflict within the mortal world, because it is as I want. I will fight a god only if I see it fit." The young god turns to leave the presence of Sai'Yang "I will see you when you have words worth speaking, Father."

These... abominations are without thought; mindless shells of their former being, their former glory. It matters not who has created these brutish gnolls, as what you have done spits in the name of creation itself. Is this to be the fate of every mortal who suffers a "meaningless" death, or lives a "meaningless" life?
Artreus' beard is no longer as of soft sea foam, but rather it is as the white water of waves crashing upon rock.

"Yes," Chemoch replies simply. "Those that fulfill their purpose will join me, in the realms of the dead so they may continue to have purpose."

The Cloud Albatross

In the skies above Brok'tu, the bird shaped cloud sat in the sky. The Cloud Albatross watched the gnoll as he lorded over his kin and charged into battle, tarnishing creation with his bloodlust. The Cloud Albatross was disturbed by the lack of retribution. Shouldn't someone take action in the face of such destruction?

Having learned enough, the Cloud Albatross left the mortal world and returned to the aether. It sent out a call to the members of the Epigeian Council and requested entrance to Pangaia.

There is little you can do to remove yourself from the game as it were...You play the part you were made to play, you cannot change your role."

Sai'Yang grins as the godling turns, leaning back onto nothing.

In the darkness upon the shelf of Vu sat the Seeker, its powers no longer called upon, but still the knowledge it had gained remained and that alone had power. Power enough to grant the raven shell life…But another power called to it. Familiar but yet different as if it was part of a knowledge it once sought while in service to Vu. It needed this power. It sought this power. Its purpose was renewed.

Leaving the stone and metal shell the knowledge took the form familiar to it, that of the raven, and flew. It left the land of night and headed into the burning rays of Luciverta's Gul . Inside sat a brilliant suit of armor now burnished in color by the searing light of Gul; illuminating the dark that hid within, the dark that the Seeker had sought, the shadow of the god who called himself Sai'Yang. This was what he had sought this is what had given him purpose and now it sat discarded, its power wasted. Its KNOWLEDGE no longer sought its Purpose gone. The power once held within the Seekers form called out the power held within the armor and blended being invigorated but seared by the blinding light of Gul which itself held a portion of power given to it by Luciverta. The power started to take form.

Luciverta took notice of the dimming of Gul and went to investigate. In the center he noticed a form taking shape the form liken to that of a god, but the burning rays seemed to be tearing this new being apart. So Luciverta eclipsed Gul long enough for the newly formed being to escape. Thus the first Eclipse occurred in the world and out sprung the newly formed godling, Knowledge. But like all knowledge first learnt it was raw and still developing so Luciverta took it to his home and nursed it to strength and Koranos came into being.

Koranos born from the desire of Vu who sought the Knowledge of Sai’ Yang, using it to take form and then having been empowered by the light of Luciverta, had now become a God. But this form lacked something it would not make that learnt be held. What if the power given was taken once again. Koranos decide that could not be. His knowledge, ALL knowledge must be kept. The story must continue, must live. So he Created “The Record” and he began to write.

3. The boat pitched and floundered dumping Hild over

8. They feasted long into the cold silent night
9. But when the feast was done they took their leave
10. And Hild was buried in a cairn and marked, three stones deep and five stone wide was his home

11. The Shaman Shhid spoke with the Earth three nights
12. Learning from those past, Hild and his fallen, what lay deep below
13. Hild was not coaxed by burnt fox or clear wine
14. Nor was he coaxed by warm fire or fine furs
15. For under his cairn he had such and more, saying only The Dead need remembrance

The Space between Planes and the Mortal World

A whirl marked its creation by hands unknown, an echo and only the first of the actions of the Brood of Sai’Yang. The Whisperer may have corrupted and moved through the world with its dark taint but for it’s cruel actions the curse of the Blood of Sai’Yang ran deep even through that which had no form.

The Whirl became that where all souls went before they were judged, an expanse of cold water that was the earth though only the souls of those who were good and just could stand above it. Those that were not permitted into the Land of the Dead sunk to the bottom to stay a single night with those that died before them before they were buried in their own grave, appearing as a simple mound of earth marked by a headstone with the name of that which lived below. Families were placed together, the stones growing taller to hold the names giving the land below the water layer to appear as if a forest of towering stone monoliths that could never reach the watery sky.

The Birth of the Crescent Island, authored by High Incanter Eibon

The Crescent Island that we dwell on was born from the bountry of the Earth, no hand tilled the soil when it rose and no words were spoken in the glens that rose all around it. It is said when the first footsteps of The People worked upon it the fish off the shores of the Crescent Island were so populous that they would leap into the nets of those who sat on the beaches. The water was of a sapphire the likes of which could not be found in the central mountain that dominates the skyline of anywhere eyes look over the island and the tree line was an emerald like the coronation gems, it was said at that time the Crescent Island was called Mai’Laili or “Bounty Lands” in the common tongue though it does not truly represent the reverence that word was or is still uttered. The People were said to be born from Mai’Laili and as its children were open to its bounty and its story for The People have always believed stories important.

It is written by the ancient storytellers that the world started in darkness as vast and deep as the ocean around us and in time a speck of dust from nowhere arose and rolled to the center of what did not truly exist. From that grain raised a sphere of dust as it attracted more of its kind from wherever it came and soon it was a sphere of earth. But the sphere grew tired and lonely and desired a companion and so each mote of dust started to weep until the entire thing was covered in water, drowning out its sobs so that nothing could hear it. But from the dust rose to figures that swam in the tears of their mother, and with hands they scooped forth a small portion of mud at the bottom of the water and created an island. They shaped it to be a perfect circle to revere their mother and for a time it was good, The People had been born of the Earth.

But in time the two wished for more of their own, and made to make more and before they knew it the two became many that overran the island with their feet and stomped the mud flat. The Earth saw this and was proud of its children and ceased its crying, for it now had company that it could look at and for a time this to was good but in time the Earth grew tired and weary of watching it’s family and thus slept deeply. But The People did not know their mother had fallen asleep for they did not speak the language of the Earth and for six days and six nights they wept bitterly for the death of their mother and at the center of the island there rose a pond on the first night so heavy were their tears. By the twelfth night the pond had grown to a deep inland lake that threatened to swallow up the entire island.

The People were of two minds, one portion of The People demanded the grieving to stop and for the Mother and Father that had born them all to take charge in the absence of the Earth. The other demanded the grieving not end and to emulate their creator and drown themselves in the waters they had created. A war erupted between the people so fierce that the blood overran the boundaries of their great island and the weapons and powers they used so devastating that mountains rose and fell under the weight of the energies brought to bear. Countless many lost their lives before the war ended, the Mother and Father dying on the shores alone and apart even from each other. The blood mingled with the fallen lake of tears and slowly but surely the great island of mud started to sink and flood under the torrents of the crimson fury. Only the mountain, the single remaining from the war, could survive certainly and even then only the tip but no one of The People could reach that height as they were to exhausted by the war. And thus The People were swallowed up and drowned, the will of the fallen side coming to pass even if they were not alive to reap their glory for victory.

But unknown to many a single member of The People survived, the last daughter born of the Mother and Father had yet lived as she was too young for war. The young girl fled from the flood, up and up into the mountain with a handful of the original pool for certainly others had survived she thought and would wish to preserve their struggles for good or bad. But when the young woman reached the top of the mountain she saw no one had reached the peak and a single tear mingled with the pool she had been too young to witness created. With the last of her energy she set the tears aside with the last of her power and dug a hole for it to rest in. Today we call this the Star Filled Pools, our most revered location of The People for it is sad that once she had dug the hole she had in fact hit an ancient spring deep within the mountain and so when her tears and the tears of her now long people mingled with that ancient water a most wondrous even occurred before the young girls dying eyes. Sparkles of light formed at the depths of the water that ran so blue it looked black from the surface and with a single gasp before her life ebbed away she flung herself into the pool to join with what was left of her family. It is said that this is where the People arose from but that is a tale for another day.

On the other side of the world, far from the lands created by other Gods a single island the shape of a crescent arose from the ocean already formed with mountains as if by some Godly hand yet still none existed that had done the act. The act of simple creation had alone rose the island almost as if nature itself wished to emulate the Gods. And on that highest peak existed a great lake so deep and beautiful that the sky itself envied it's creation and wept motes of light so pure they dissolved in the water but still stained their light so that the pool and the sky appeared as one.

Rogue lived her life in Nirvana, and took the form of a pixie. Her status as a god unnoticed, she lived among the pixies, although was often quite distant, wandering the land, searching for new life. While among the pixies, she taught one music, something that the pixies appreciated in the birds. The knowledge quickly spread, with music becoming a central tenant in their culture.

One day, she saw a design of leaves, arranged like five petals in a flower. Rogue had an idea for her next creation. Suddenly, flowers had a place in the land of eternal life.

The pixies were impressed with this new invention, and flowers became a treasure among the realm. Rogue hoped that gods and mortals alike would remember this invention.

After more playing with the pixies and pondering her creation, she realized that her pixies would need food. As she placed flowers on a tree, she watched as fruit grew from the flowers.

Unfortunately, one pixie got in a fight with a magma elemental. Lacking the means to defend itself, it died, its spirit going to Chemoch's realm, and the other pixies fled.

To protect them, she went to the pixie she had taught music too, and taught it magic, so that it could defend itself from the threats of predators. This pixie, Verdan, was respected among her kind, as she brought magic and music to the world.

While Rogue was contemplating past events, under the shade of two trees, a Trail appeared, and spoke to her, asking her to provide a link between her plane and puel. To this request, she created a portal, linking Nirvana and Puel. Two trees, crossed together, marked an entrance and exit from her realm.

There will be great knowledge to be gained if two of his fathers are in attendance and perhaps more to be gathered from his fathers' family. Now to find a way to attend. Vu paced around. He'd been rather brusque to both Sai'Yang and Luciverta, and making enemies so early on was a bad idea. Still, Sai'Yang had offered him a gift... perhaps he wanted an alliance, too? This was all very perplexing.

Wrapped up in his thoughts, Vu nearly missed sensing an entity leave his plane. Odd. He had thought he was alone. He only caught a glimpse of it, but it had seemed too weak to enter his plane undetected. Its shape had seemed familiar, too. Vu noticed he was unconsciously staring at the corpse/statue of the Seeker.

"Interesting..."

Vu was interrupted in his musings by a signal from Luciverta. He turned to the portal he had created so recently. No sense in making his brother wait.

Luciverta heard footsteps, and turned. Vu walked out of a pitch-black portal, and bowed. "How may I be of service, brother?"

It was odd, his father Vu dwelt within the shadows, his father Luciverta dwelt within the light and his father Sai'Yang dwelt within the darkened places. What would be his place, where should knowledge dwell. Perhaps in a place of all or in each place in turn, he would have to look into this further. His fathers interest sparked a new desire to be with both of his fathers for this meeting but once again his form was still trapped within his Father Lucivertas beautiful castle. He once again cast out his mind drawing from the shadow of his father and looking through the eyes of his previous form to see if his father still showed him interest. The Eyes of the Seeker Glowed a startling blue and their vision showed his father Vu stepping through a darkened portal. Perhaps he should follow. The Seeker of Knowledge hopped down from His perch and flew into the darkness.

Gareth looked out on his creations happily, and he whistled a tune of unparralled beauty as he saw what the others had created. As he was whistling though, he heard a new tune, one he had not created. A look of excitement crossed the young gods face as he leapt from his throne and began searching for the source of this music. He searched high and low, unable to see where it was coming from.

"It seems I will need some help to find the source of this wonderful singing" Gareth said, laughing heartily. He then picked up a small sapphire, and he molded it into the shape of one of the rabbits he had made. He infused it with a portion of his power and tying a small set of pipes to his back saying "give these to the one who has joined in the song of this world, and tell them that Gareth would like to meet them some day." In the halls of Luciverta Karanos sat. He was there but not there as his mind now also flew with the Seeker after his father Vu. He felt a sudden shudder as if someone sought as once he did, though that which was sought after was not the same as his father. If only he could leave this place and join in the search. But alas that could not be... UNLESS.

As the part of him remained within the shell of the old seeker allowing him to infuse some of his new found essence within. Perhaps he could use a portion of that essence to follow this new seeker of knowledge.

As the Seeker emerged from his fathers portal, he flew upward and landed on a perch so he could watch the event unfold. But he felt himself call to himself and ask that a third should become of them. Pulling from the power within himself one eye brilliant with blue light fell to the ground, leaving the Seeker with only part of his vision to watch the enclave of his family.

The eye hit the ground and transformed into a Karanos thought would also be a capable seeker. One with the ability to come and leave as it saw fit and one that could track whatever it wished to find, and the Hound was formed.
If the Seeker was a gift from his father Vu then perhaps the Hound should give homage to his father Luciverta, so his fur shone with the golden hues of Luciverta's magnificent palace.

Sai'Yang heard the call of the sun thanks to the armor he spied through on the whole of the world. He of course appeared in the halls of the Pantheon dressed in finery and surrounded by the fog known as Mana. He appears as though a beautiful woman with black hair as dark as midnight and flesh the tan of tilled Earth. Her eyes shine like radiant pools of quicksilver and her feet are bare. "The service isn't to me. I thought it might be wise to assemble our brothers and set forth a plan of action. Or perhaps give each other ideas on where we each plan to head so no one pushes each other around with their creations." Facing the new comer, "Welcome Xiua'Hi, I am Luciverta, and this is my brother Vu. Make yourselves comfortable, I believe we are awaiting a few more."

Something is happening in his Radiant Fortress. Luciverta felt a presence there but that seemed impossible. He had locked his home from intrusion. Why or how could anyone be there? Slightly worried, he again addressed his sibling. "Vu, Xiua'Hi, would either of you care to await our brothers a moment? I have a slight matter at home I must attend."

Teleporting himself home in the blink of an eye, Luciverta was very displeased to find a fledgling god in his home. "Who are you and why are you in my home? I have many more questions for you, but I wish you to accompany me to a meeting I just called to order in another place." Not really waiting for an answer, mostly because he wanted this being out of his home, Luciverta teleported both himself and Karanos to Vu's and Xiua'Hi's waiting presence.

The First Embodiment of Madness

As time passed, Na's creations grew, but he saw that even though he had created them, they were not a perfect representation of the madness he represented. And so he resolved to give the world, the gift of madness. And he created a fracture in the structure of the world, and it became a funnel for madness. And he went to the great colonies of the deep ones, and he bade them look at it. And as they looked their minds warped and their bodies with them, into impossible, incomprehensible, shapes. Sai'Yang: As Xiua'Hi

"I think it is impossible for you to know me as you think you do young one. I have been here since our father and mother were slain. I am as old as your Father and Father, though you certainly cannot know it by looking."

"Then I shall call you M'lady if it please you as Magic is truly a gift requiring respect. I have already learned that." With the words spoken Karanos smiles as he knows the power that this lovely lady provides will aid him in his growing pursuit of Knowledge.

The Hound bounds quickly across the lands searching for a sent of the one he wishes to aid and pausing slightly when he reaches a land where music fills the trees coming from a myriad of birds all singing in a perfectly pleasant melody. The scent is strong here perhaps this is where the search started. I shall leave a present here for the searcher so that he may know he is not alone in his quest. One of myself I do believe would be appropriate. The Hound shook and drops of golden light fell like hair from his form. Where the drops fell smaller versions of himself formed and the first Blink Dogs were created. He left 2 a male and a female in this place of beauty as a gift to the one who sought knowledge. Then he bounded off in pursuit of the new seeker as he had his scent and his trail.

“So, you see they are not actually bugs at all.” Semta explained to a bewildered Trail.

“But, you just listed off things that- oh cool this guy is made of metal!”

Both having forgot their previous discussion they move on to other matters.

Semta creates a portal in this spot, and then inspires all animals to move from where they were birthed.

The gentle pond of The Star Filled Pool rippled and with that single action a hand pulled forth from the black waters. Before even an hour could pass the clearing at the top of the mountain was filled with forms that shivered in the tropical air, the light within the pools coalescing at the center to become a warming light that gathered at the center to warm the bodies of the creatures that would become the Mu’Ru in their tongue or “The People” in the common tongue. They were slender and frail with tan flesh and flowing orange hair that brushed the ground and covered their naked forms. Their eyes were a deep green that sparkled and glittered like the pool they had pulled themselves from.

From The Ventus Scrolls

And Ichish went down to the islands of Ventus Fructus that he had created, and he saw that something was missing. And so he reached down, and from the water of the sea and the earth of the islands, he created a body, in a form like his own, and he blew the wind into it's lungs, and it lived. And he called it Shui. And he created a mate for Shui, and they bred, and their people grew and prospered on the islands. And they found the Boat he had sat on the largest of the islands, and they built smaller copies, and they used them to sail the seas. But none were as good as the first Boat, for it could sail with no wind nor oar.

The Hound and his new found pack bounded off in search of this new scent. As he traveled more of his newly formed pack found beautiful and interesting places in this world to explore. He was gaining on the scent, but not due to speed only due his ability to blink past and over barriers.

The scent grew stronger and he thinks the small brilliant blue creature up ahead might be the one whom he wishes to aid. It seems like it is moving with a purpose as if its pursuit is indeed the search for knowledge. He calls his pack to stay back and moves forward to stand before this Saphire Rabbit he does believe announcing his presence in action and barks and allowing his intentions of help to exude from his very essence. He did not want to startle the fellow searcher and after a few moments falls in pace along side as the search continues.

The pack begins to pair off two to a group on male, one female, the have been given their orders. To travel the lands searching for beautiful areas to inhabit. Giving the land their grace and beauty.

Robichaux grew tired of watching the conflict on the mortal world. He was going to do something to stop it, for Robichaux saw the suffering it caused and was filled with pity and anger. He was the god of weather, an amalgamation of all the elements of nature, and for that nature to be perverted by conflict was insulting.

He would act, but not without the cooperation of other gods. They would meet in secret and gather a coalition to end the strife, all strife for that matter, now and in the future. And Robichaux would have created it. Yes, that would be an accomplishment worthy of a great god like him. By transcending the pantheons, Robichaux would have their reverence.

Robichaux created a plane on which to meet. It was an infinite expanse of sky filled with clouds. The clouds were big, small, dark, rainy, thin, puffy, and every other conceivable type. They were ever-changing, just like the world Robichaux loved.

However, as much as Robichaux loved the idea of a randomly changing plane, he had an image to protect. And so, Robichaux called his Cloud Albatross, and it materialized under him, much bigger than it was before. The Cloud Albatross began to fly through the plane as Robichaux created a body for himself. He took the form of a human male with dark hair and eyes and tanned skin. His clothes changed rapidly until he found a color and style he liked. Satisfied with the dark grey rode with blue trim, Robichaux decided it was time for him to begin spreading peace. The Cloud Albatross opened its bill and in Robichaux's voice called across the universe, "Chemoch! Artreus! You are wanted!

“When the oracles of the path tell the story of creation they do so with their backs to the audience. Because how could they lead us on the path if we were in front of them, that is their reasoning, and it is sound enough to us.

They often start with the story of Semta being lost one night and creating points of light in the sky to mark where he had been, as it turned out it was not just one night that he had been walking but 500, by the time he remembered he was a god and did not need to walk he had created an uncountable number of what we now call stars.

Prior to that he created our kind, and in between those events he created the oracles of the path to lead us to where we lay our heads at night and guide us in dark times.

And that is why you should always walk behind me.”

“Father, you don’t have to tell the story of creation every time I accidently walk beside you, it doesn’t make any sense with what you’re trying to say.”

I don’t have the AP for all of this unless we were given a bonus of some sort. And actually this conversation is in a future point in time so essentially all that has happened now is the creation of the people (which I am naming Commeacommer).

Tired of his talk with Arteus, Chemoch stepped back to the home Caelic plane. The area around him distorted as he walked, a reflection of his current temperament and mood. Noting Vu, and a newcomer that bore traces of their Caelic nature, Chemoch nodded to them.

"Hello brother," He began, "I apologize for my tardiness. I have been busy with much work upon the mortal plane, and fear I will have more shortly."

Hearing the call from Robichaux, Chemoch waved a hand and the green smoke swirling around it coalesced into a form that mimicked his own. "Represent me. If you encounter any other god's manifestations, deny or avoid them if possible." He commanded as he sent the personification through a portal to the new Plane.

"Now, I believe once our final two members arrive we will have much to discuss."

The young god sits atop his throne of ice. Nothing around hum except the biting howl of the freezing wind and the vast emptyness of his mortal domain. "Yes. This environment will raise great warriors, but where to get them? Shall I create like the others or wait for a race to take my fancy?" It's unknown who the god speaks to, but it seems to help focus him. "Yes, I should wait for the others. Nothing ever comes from hasty reactions." And wait he does, alone on the frozen wasteland he calls home.

With a dramatic pose and a lavish wave of his hands Luciverta brings a certain amount of comfort to the decor around the 4 assembled beings. "Does anyone want to say anything before we jump into discussion about what's to come?" Seating himself in a plush pile of pillows he dims himself and appears in a pure white robe.

"I know I have plenty of ideas for my home. And even a few to share with the you all. But don't let me be the sole bearer of ideas."

"News? I do believe so...Through my Magic I have gleaned some information for my brothers and sister that you may find quite interesting in and of itself."

S/He waves a hand, shrugging a little as a small mirror appears showing the four elemental Gods.

"At the time of our creation these four were also born. While it is possible they seek friendship I know otherwise...I have heard them speak words most foul about us all and how we are to be slain so they and their ilk may carry on with this world as they please."

Sai'Yang: As Xiua'Hi

"How odd, then are you truly of this family or apart from it? Have you spoken to this "Father Sai'Yang" or do you merely suggest he helped create you?"

It was Father Vu who's wisdom sparked my life. He created the Seeker who sought out Father Sai'Yang and then came to give knowledge of him to Father Vu. Father Vu absorbed the power he gave the seeker back unto himself. But Knowledge in itself holds power and from that Knowledge and the pursuit thereof I came to be. It was a spark that I felt as I rested upon Father Vu's shelf, a spark of Father Sai'Yang that for some reason was resting within father Luciverta's Brilliant Gul that called to me. Knowledge seeking to be reunited with itself. It gave my former form enough power to fly into Gul and reunite with the power, I do believe it is called magic, of Father Sai'Yang; which dwelt within the Brilliant armor that sat within Father Luciverta wondrous creation. The knowledge and magic combined and I began to take form, powered more and bathed within the light of my Father Luciverta's life giving creation of Gul. But Gul's searing light was to much for my new form and it was burning me to the point of non existence. That was when I was rescued by what I thought was Father Luciverta, whom else could brave that light and survive and taken within his home. There my physical form sat within its beauty till he came to bring me here.
But no Knowledge can truly be contained and my mind wandered and took form, for a time as the Seeker once again, whom followed father Vu here It was his interest that called to me once again, and that of the Hound as I feel compelled to aid another seeker, in its search for another god. That is the beginning of my tale as it is recorded in "The Record". Would you care to tell me yours fair lady, so it to can be recorded.

Leaving Artreus without saying anything else, Chemoch did not help in sating his irritation. But as the god of death vanished, a thought sprouted in Artreus... this was not the right time, however. It would be important to see just how the world acts in the face of such pestilent corruption that had been wrought upon it.
It was at that moment that he heard a voice... someone wanted him... So Artreus abliged... not out of respect, fear, or reverence, but out of mere curiousity... Following this voice brought him to a different plane, one of many, many clouds...
"Who is it that desires my presence?" He raises an eyebrow and looks around...

Luciverta listened to Karonos' story, very intrigued. The fingers on his hands doodled on the short table in front of him. "So what you're saying is that you're here because of an implausible set of circumstances? We might need to be careful of things we do with our power."
The doodles, for anyone watching, turned out to be a part of the created world so far. In the center he added a small island roughly shaped like a star. Looking down, he smiled at what he drew. But oddly quickly wiped it away.
A beautiful gleaming necklace suddenly appeared around Luciverta's neck.

In the ocean out from any of the lands known to mortal or gods, an island appeared. It was rocky and forested. A flash of light surrounded the island and fit, athletic, lean jackal humanoids appeared. They spoke to each other and found that they had a deep love for their kind. They went about finding ways to protect themselves from the environment. A shrine was also made to the true god of light.
It was night when the air around the island shimmered. The Adistadora hid in fear. They knew not that it was for their protection, only that it was strange and new. It faded away soon after and they quickly forgot about it.

Religion of the Mu’Ru, authored by High Incanter Eibon: Taken from Understanding the Mu’Ru, a guide for the outside.

Though the Pond lays central to the foundation of our creation The People acknowledge other powerful figures in the courts of the spirit world. In this edition we look at the myriad courts and figures in the Mu’Ru religious system.

The Lady of the Pool: The Lady of the Pool stands above the courts as the single most important entity in the entire religious system of the Mu’Ru. The Lady of the Pool exists in three parts, the Queen, the Hunter and the Shadow. The Queen acts and presides over all the courts and entities in the religious system like a kind mother and strict ruler depending on the situation. The Hunter is the aspect of The Lady of the Pool that searches tirelessly for evil and corruption, rooting it out ruthlessly to protect her children the Mu’Ru. The Shadow is the dark aspect of The Lady of the Pool, watching over the souls of the Mu’Ru when they pass from this world to the next. The Lady of the Pool’s favored animal is the dog and her favored flower is the Star Gazer Lilly for in the Mu’Ru language they symbolize wealth and prosperity or purity and sympathy.

The Sparrow Princess: The first child born of the Star Filled Pool and the first ruler of the Mu’Ru people forever second to The Lady of the Pool. In life she ruled over the culture that would become The People and in death she rules over them in the Land of the Dead until time ends. Her favored animal is the sparrow and her favored flower is the Acacia for in the language of the Mu’Ri it symbolizes Secret Love.

The Dark Beast: The Dark Beast is the shadow of Adel , a cruel and vicious beast that lurks within the darkness and is forever hunted by the Lady of the Pool. It is said that before his birth the Mu’Ru were perfect but with his first gasp of air of the mortal world he slew the most perfect Sparrow Princess and forever cast the Mu’Ru out of the light that they were born in, forcing them to lose their immortality and created the first taboo. The Dark Beast is venerated only by the most cold hearted of the Mu’Ru though all pray against him in hopes to stave off his cruel touch. The hated animal of The Dark Beast is the Fox and the flowers of the Mint are said to hold him at bay for in the language of the Mu’Ru it represents suspicion which even it cannot hide from.

Adel, the Golden Fox: The bright reflection of The Dark Beast that was born from the mourning of the Sparrow Princess’s passing. Adel always appears as a beautiful Mu’Ru male with sixteen fox tails of pure gold and the stateliest of dress. Adel’s favored animal is the fox and his favored flower is the fennel for it represents Strength.

The Elemental Court: A myrid of entities that have been incorporated from outside influence and rule over that which the Mu’Ru can interact with physically. While not worshiped above the Lady of the Pool, each is paid service on the day of work. They are seen more as spirits and not true gods.

The Outsider Court: The warring faction against the Elemental Court, believed to rule over the Moon, the Sun and that which the Mu’Ru cannot interact with physically. While not worshiped above the Lady of the Pool, each is paid service on the day of work. They are seen more as spirits and not true gods.

With the arrival of Chemoch's manifestation and Artreus, Robichaux mentally sighed with relief. They came, which must mean something for his prestige among the other gods. Now he had to show he deserved a greater reputation that he had right now.

"Since I am not of your pantheons, I do not believe we have formally met. I am Robichaux. I would welcome the exchange of pleasantries, but events are such that they must wait," Robichaux said to the two gods. He waved his hand and an image of the abnormal gnoll appeared in the air. "I am not sure if you are aware, but this creature has been warring and killing others and his own kind. Do either of you know why this has happened? Such corruption and violence while the world is still so young is...troubling, to say the least."
