Quick Question:

I want to play an ork, but light sensitivity is a problem (especially for a paladin). Are there any ways (preferrably items) to eliminate this problem?

Thanks.

Sundark Goggles, Races of the Dragon. 10 gp and bye-bye light sensitivity.

and the feat Daylight Adaptation. Costs a feat, but it's permanent.

Being a Dragonborn is an oft-used method, with the +2 Con and Flight being very useful to most builds using Orcs.

The first level of Orc Paragon (Unearthed Arcana) will eliminate your light sensitivity and improve your darkvision by 30 feet.

(The third level of Orc Paragon isn't super-terrible, either; it gives you a permanent +2 strength.)

Shaders, Races of Eberron p.103. Nonmagical wooden goggles that completely negate orc Light Sensitivity. Do you care about a -1 penalty to spot checks?

The Sundark goggles don't have a downside and even come with a benefit vs. gaze attacks.

Technically the Sundark goggles have a -2 to Spot+Search if you lack Lowlight or Darkvision...though obviously that's not an issue for Orcs.

Is that ever an issue? I mean, can anyone think of a race with light sensitivity that DOESN'T possess either low-light or darkvision?

It just means that, say, a human can't wear the Sundarks without the penalty just to gain a benefit against gaze attacks.

Well it's a +2 circumstance bonus to saves vs. gaze attacks which costs a staggering 10gp. Some people might consider breaking their bank just for that, even if they lack light sensitivity+lowlight/darkvision.

And totally ninja'd.
