I made a drawing in inkscape that I like, but whenever I go to export the file into a png it makes a weird black line over the eye. I'm new with inkscape and I'm not sure what's wrong, can anyone help me?

Edit: I ended up taking a screenshot, then cropping it. That makes me feel so dirty, I'd still appreciate learning how to do this properly.

Can you post the png? We might be able to figure it out if we can see the weird black line.

Here's the one with the line. It's over the left eye.

Here's my workaround:

That is very, VERY weird.

I don't know what's causing it. My thoughts: Move the drawing around the workspace and see if it works right.

It must be part of an object that's hidden below the others but pops up when you render the image. Try this:

Bring up the Object Properties window (Shift+Ctrl+O)
Place the mouse where the line is and click.
In the Object Properties, click on Hide.
Repeat until the line appears or you run out of objects.

Just remember to un-hide the objects before you save.
