Based on that attempt at marketing, I'm already concerned for the outcome.

What's wrong with bringing voltron back compared to bringing other old cartoons like gi joe or he man or anything back? Honestly I don't get what you're meaning to say by your first post/thread title.

Anyway, anyone here remember the 3d cgi voltron series?

Nicktoons remaking third-party material tend to be either pretty good (Iron man) or really fail (Fantastic Four).

Saw a clip or two, felt a bit like the battletech series when they used the 3d bits, might work better if had a better storyline to go with the mechs.

Seriously there was a comic series a couple of years or so ago where the voltron team met another voltron team which is as far as i looked into it.

Whoever wrote that series forgot there's only ONE Voltron team and thats how its supposed to be played since that legendary status isn't quite that great if they throw in additional voltrons' without the background.

What is Voltron?A heavily edited dub of Beast King Golion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FffmBKiGbNc), and one of the first Super Robot (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SuperRobot) shows to be broadcast in the US (during the 80s).

It was aired in germany on RTL2 95/96 or so. Mostly the vehicle force episodes (so these should be more recogniseable for germans) and some of lion force but not all of them. They seemed to have a rather wonky story from episode to episode too so it could be that they were broadcasted in the wrong sequence or the dub was just that bad.
Since I saw only a few episodes ever I am mostly paraphrasing wikipedia.

Wow, so I'm at the same time too young and too old for this. When it was created I couldn't even sit upright by myself, and when it aired here, I no longer watched kids cartoons.

That spot is trying way too hard to be "cool."

It also has nothing to do with Voltron, unless they're going the Robot Chicken route of having him breakdance battle all his enemies.

...Actually, that wouldn't be so bad...
