Metamagic Rod Pricing

The DMG and MIC contain Metamagic rods for many Metamagic feats, but not all... In most cases, the cost of the rods can be worked out based on the increase in the spell level, but there are exceptions. Is there an official source for pricing Metamagic rods for these "forgotten" feats?

Or will a rod of split ray break the game?

While not provided by RAW, it's fairly easy to price the metamagic rods for spells of +0 through +4 adjustment. There is no way to extrapolate for persistent spell. I math'd that bad boy hard, and no, just no. Don't bother. It's an epic item (by the guidelines no less!).:smalltongue:
