greetings playgrounders,

a few days ago, I announced a 'war game' between a fellow player and myself to test out some new material.

it was a 4 on 4 battle consisting of.
1 psion
1 psychic warrior
1 fighter
1 wild card

all 4th level.

My party ended up being the following
a 4th level savant
a 4th level psychic warrior wielding a mecurial sword
a 4th level dwarf fighter with 2 racial sub levels
a 3rd level Goliath Barbarian.

the op-force consisted of....
4th level psion - discipline unknown
a psion 2/psychic warrior 2 - originally meant to be the wild card.
a half orc for the fighter
and a human paladin as the 'wild card' fill in.

time conspired against my opponent in character creation.

but I digress.

I am curious, of the forces listed, who would you expect to win?
who/what would you pick out as being the 'deciding factor?'

actual results spoilered below, please don't peak before you guess!!!!

battle summary

I 'won' as we had to call the game before it was finished, all 4 of my characters stood, whilst 3 of his 4 lay on the ground somewhere between - 10 and 0 the paladin outlasted them by virtue of A) not being a priority target and B) placement on the battlemat.

MVP of the battle hands down went to the goliath, who alone accounted for ~50% of casualties.
runner up was the DWARF FIGHTER, who performed beyond all expectations as a speedbump and headcapper.

his job was to rush up to the enemy party and stick to the psion like glue, which he accomplished excellently.

savant is the "nickname" term given in the Psionic handbook for one who has chosen psychokinesis as his discipline.
