OOC: that's just calling out the attacks. Actual attacks are determined by speed of course.

"Arrronn!" Lancelot roared, rushing toward his foe, head lowered in preparation for impact...

"Alright Vulpix, you use ember!! Set him on fire!!"

The heavy Aron charges the Vulpix, but before it hits the Vulpix manages to release several flaming balls at the Aron. [roll0] vs. 2; [roll1]. It hits the Aron, but doesn't do enough damage to stop it. It crashes into the vulpix with alarming power. [roll2] KOing it in one hit.

(you take 9 damage from the flames)

Next he sends out Gulpin!

"Keep going, Lancelot! Rush this one down as well!" Leon exclaimed, a finger thrust in the new foe's direction.

"Aron!" Lancelot barked, springing back a bit. Stamping one of his front legs, he lowered his head once more before dashing ahead with a roar.

"Arooonnn!"

"Gulpin! Prepare for impact and use yawn!"

Gulpin slowly starts to open his mouth and the Aron comes charging in. He seems unimpressed and let's out a big yawn. [roll0] vs 2 It doesn't seem to affect the Aron and it hits the gulpin hard, knocking it over the ground. .... Suddenly, the Aron falls asleep.

"Hmph. Return, Lancelot; you've done enough." Leon said, firing a beam of light at his metallic companion, drawing it back into its dwelling. He then gestured to his orange-plumed ally to move forward. "It's time to finish this, Kay. Strike swiftly and burn our foe down with ember..." he said calmly.

"Tor!" Kay replied devilishly, flames already spouting from his mouth as he chirped. He rushed toward the foe as he took puffs of air in, and as he made his way his body began to give off some heat, visible in the air. "Tortortortortooooorch!" he exclaimed, letting loose small bursts of flame as close to his foe as he could.

Meanwhile, Leon sighed. "Would've been smarter to take advantage of range, but I suppose I should appreciate your tenacity, at least..."

Actions

Leon: withdraw Lancelot, send Kay forward.

"Gulpin, time to use some of those gasses you've been saving up. Poison gas attack!!"

The torchic runs forward, wings flapping wildly, clearly it's very excited. It gets in to close to the gulpin. The gulpin and torchic both launch their attacks, but the torchic is temporarily blinded by the poison gas and it's flamy bits fly wide of the gulpin. [roll0] In the process, the poison starts to work on the torchic. [3 damage]

I assumed you withdrew the aron permanently, otherwise Kay wouldn't get to attack this turn.

The Pokemon’s Special Defense Value is treated as if it has been lowered 2 Combat Stages. Once per turn, you may try to roll for self-curing the Poison in place of a Pokemon’s Move. You may not try this for Badly Poisoned. On d20, the check is a 17. Poison and Steel type Pokemon are immune to becoming Poisoned. At the end of every round, the Poisoned loses 1/10th of its total HP. When Badly poisoned, the afflicted loses 5 HP, then twice that, 10 HP, then twice that, 20 HP, then twice that, 40 HP, etc. at the end of each round. A Pokemon does not suffer the effects of Poison while in a Poke Ball.
