greetings playgrounders, I recently became obbsessed with a character concept.
a Were-Bison.
however, having never made a lycanthrope before, I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. so here I am posting my charactersheet for critique/double checking.
I've only finished the human form so far, but I'm working on the hybrid and animal forms now.
of course, if someone could confirm my understanding that the animal form is JUST like the normal animal that would make life easy for me.
anyways, I present

I just want to say that, if I'm remembering correctly, the animal you use technically has to be a carnivore.
If I weren't busy at the moment I'd give this a closer look-through, and maybe I will when I've finished what I'm doing at the moment. Sorry.

unless someone can find precedent for bison being omnivorous or scavengers you may be correct,
but given that I just finished the hybrid sheet, that's not going to stop me.
so here's the hybrid section.

as near as I can tell, the animal form has nearly identical stats to the hybrid, so here's the animal version with changes made for intelligence, height/weight, and...... yea thats it.

Aren't Boar's none Carnavor's? And aren't there were Boars?

The creature can be a predator, scavenger, or omnivore. Boars are somewhat the latter two, so they qualify. Bison are a bit trickier. That said, there's nothing unbalanced about it, it's more of a fluff thing.
A lycanthrope's animal HD cannot be its first HD. You need a class level in htere first.

Isn't that only true for afflicted lycanthropes?
Nope. Look in the skills section.

Nope. Look in the skills section.
All the skills section says is that animal HD are never the first HD. I agree with that. I was saying that for natural lycanthropes this forces humanoid/giant HD to be the first HD.

I give you BILL THE WERE-BISON WIZARD!!!!!
... I find this image amusing, however, i think I'll go with totemist
or totem rager, so I'll nab that d12 at first level
so I'll go fix that HD issue.

Your ECL is all wrong, dude.
You are listed as a level 3 character. But you have 4 animal hit dice, plus level adjustment for lycanthrope. Meaning you're either a level 6 character (afflicted) or a level 7 character (natural).

I believe the same issue of Dragon that had the infamous "Chicken-Infested" flaw had another flaw called "Were-sheep." Not sure if that counts as an official exception, though.

thats good enough for me
any other suggestions before I completely overhaul and fill out the sheets?
any discrepencies/things I did wrong?
stats?
feats?
saves?
anything?

As I mentioned before, the effective character level is all wrong.

doubly noted, I meant aside from things already mentioned.
also make an exception for another feat, bumping the ECL to 6 grants me another one I know I need to account for.

No it doesn't. LA doesn't give you feats.:smallconfused:

As odd as this is bit of trivia is, yeah, level adjustment as the actual line of game "code" means that level dependent things such as ability score increases and feats explicitly require hit dice.:smallsigh:

EDIT:
well, here's the weekend, I'm going to try and get the updates up today.
