View Full Version : In search of systems

So I was wondering if anyone knew some good systems for:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster World (the RPG from the manga)

or just some fun, alternative games to mess around with.

Pokethulu looks awesome. I haven't played it yet, but I downloaded it a couple of months ago.

RISUS is really awesome. And FREE!

Digimon might be workable with Mutants and Masterminds. Perhaps.

Maybe the Digivice is a device with boost that applies to the Digimon partner?

Digimon might be workable with Mutants and Masterminds. Perhaps.Yeah. M&M is the only 'serious' game I can think of with support specifically for pokemon/digimon-type games (in the Manga book).

But it's not a genre I've ever really cared for, so I could be missing some big popular beautiful game that models this perfectly.

BESM has an expansion for monster-tamer type characters, but it's well... BESM.

See, I have been working on the Pokemon d10 so I could ignore adapting BESM or M&M. I do like the systems, but not for those sorts of games.

Okay, honestly, BESM to me is M&M with a Risus Mentality. But still, I started at 1e with it, so eh...

Hm... well should I just homebrew systems for them as well? I think Monster World was half-way explained in the manga...
