I heard that there is a great PrC for kalashtar monks/soul knifes in Races of Eberron. I haven't read that book in a long while and that class didn't really stick out to me, can someone explain to me why it's so good.

Also I heard there is some sort of psionic monk class in secrets of sarlona, Is it better than that other psionic monk class from the expanded psionic handbook and why?

The atavist isn't that good. The trick some people use is to benefit from it improving both unarmed strikes and mindblade, then using Shape Mindblade from dragon magazine to stack the two. Still less than impressive.

Tashatalora is a feat from Secrets of Sarlona. It allows the chosen psionic class to also advance monk's unarmed damage, flurry and AC bonus. Best utilized on psychic warrior or ardent, it's better than the fist of zuoken.
