For some reason, I'm always hot and sweaty and can never cool off. I run my hands under ice-water about three times an hour (which helps for a very short amount of time), but I always feel hot to the point of being sick - even when everyone else in the room is cold.

To make matters worse, when I do make it cold enough for me to stop overheating, I feel too cold.

Please help.

Go see a doctor - it sounds like your body is having trouble regulating your temperature, which can be a serious problem. It's obviously driving you up the wall, so get yourself to your GP asap.

I'd see a doctor about it if I were you.

Yep. You need a doctor for this. It could, e.g., be problems with your thyroid gland which can cause heart problems so sooner is probably better than later.

Are you overweight?

But also see a doctor.

Yeah, this sounds like something you'll want to see a doctor about. Considering how miserable I am in hot weather, I'd hate to feel that way all the time.

I'm quite skinny, but I will see a doctor.

If you ever have a medical question, seek professional advice-- at minimum, from a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or a similar professional qualified for for primary practice.

my dad has the same problem. he usually just gets a cold drink and sits really really still...sorry i can't be of more help but that's all i got. but y'know, he does work pretty hard so maybe it has something to do with stress? don't know if it'll help but i think it's worth a try.

And always remember, the internet is not a substitute for trained medical advice from a professional.

Very much second this. Seriously, get yourself looked at.
