Has anyone used the Bell Curve rolling (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/adventuring/bellCurveRolls.htm) variant? if so how did it go? It looks good, is there any problems with it? Thinking of using it myself.

I have used it, and I really can't put it any better than the meta-game analysis on that page.

Edit: My group got into the idea after I started running GURPS, which is also a 3d6 system. They seemed to like the statistical rolling rather than random chance rolling that a d20 is. Probably because most of my players are notoriously bad or good rollers individually.

My player who rolls consistantly high and pulls off clutch saves/hits whatnot, likewise rolled high in GURPS, which is bad. However his high rolls in 3d6 D&D payed off. The same is true in reverse for my typically bad roller. So, at my table it levelled things out across the board I'd say.

It works pretty well, but modifiers tend to have more value past a certain point, as can be expected of a bellcurve.
