You can be in two stances. You can also be in two stances.

That is to say, they overlap.

I agree with Cog and I will also note that Warblade's version (2 stances at all time) is better than Master of Nine's (Limited amount of time)

so they dont both work and sense one works all the time the other one is useless.

RAW, you gain nothing from this.

But talk to your DM. Getting two stances all the time, and three stances for a few rounds each day, is hardly broken for an Epic-level character.

Yes, if you are an epic Warblade/Mo9 then you have a single redundant ability. However, this overlap will almost never come up. And while the Mo9's ability is 'less powerful', five minutes per day is usually more than enough time to make it work. If you're in more than 50 rounds of combat per day then your DM's really got you to the grindstone, or it's a longer fight against mooks, in which case you don't really need dual stances.

i mainly wanted it for the bonus maneuvers and stances and some of the other abilities are nice to.

Master of the Nine still lets you learn a boatload of new maneuvers in epic. You could choose high level maneuvers that combo well with being in two stances at once.

and its only for swordsages darn it.

edit: never mind found a feat that fixes that

Hmm...I always thought they would stack, but based on the wording...not so sure anymore. :smalltongue:

There's a bunch of maneuvers you know. From that number of known maneuvers, you can ready a certain amount. Typically you can change maneuvers readied per encounter.

Each martial adept class has a unique form of refreshing maneuvers, but the gist is that you typically will not run out of them.
