Warforged and Warlocks

I was wondering if anyone knows of any books (besides the Eberron campaign setting and Complete Arcane) with any information on either the Warforged race or the base class Warlock. I will accept any books from any source, including 3rd party books and editions of Dragon or Dungeon magazines. Thanks in advance!

Warforged were listed in the MM3 I believe. And, of course, in many Eberron source books.

There are some warlock related prestige classes and feats in Complete Mage, and a dragon-themed spin-off in Dragon Magic, but the only full breakdown I know of was published in Complete Arcane. IIRC Wizards still holds the rights to the warlock so you probably won't see it published under any third parties. Same goes for the warforged.

Races of Eberron has an entire chapter on Warforged. You should also find bits and pieces in other Eberron books.

Warlocks have a bit in complete mage, and the Fiendish codices should at least help for background (they also have a few options, but not really all that many).


I also propose that a Warforged Warlock is called a Forgelock.

There are also some invocations in drow of the underdark and magic of incarnum, and a good houserule is to give warlocks access to the draconic invocations in dragon magic.

Dragon Magic has the dragonfire adept base class which is a warlock reskin with breath weapons instead of eldritch blast. As etrivar said, some of the dragonfire invocations might be compatable with warlock at your DM's discretion.

That'd be a great name for an Eberron game. "Warforged and Warlocks," like Dungeons and Dragons... yeah.

You might try looking at 4E for fluff, if you're looking for Wizards' stuff. 4E has a Warlock class and Warforged are available as a race, so it's conceivable that they've written some fluff for Warforged Warlocks.

There's an article (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070613) that includes a feat to pick an invocation off the other list, but only one two grades lower.

Personally, I don't like it. There's too much overlap between the lists already, and other than devil's whispers there aren't a lot of new Warlock invocations that make sense for the Dragonfire Adept.
