PREFACE:
In the time before written language, four great gods, each representing one of the four elements, descended upon the new-born world, their latest creation. They began hoarding lands for themselves and their followers, but soon the four clashed as they argued over who had access to what pieces of the earh. The four gods waged war against one another, trying to take what they believed was rightfully theirs by force.

It was a dark time, the world around them suffered. It wasn't until the world was on the verge of dying that the most peaceful of the gods, the representative of water, stepped forth and talked sense to his brothers and sister. Only now realizing the terrible things teh had done, they made a compromise, and thus the land was split into four continents.

These continents were named in honor of the gods. The largest of them, the Waterveil Continent covers over two-thirds of the northern hemisphere, and is generally considerred the most hospitable and livable of all four. The second largest of the two, the Blazewhisper Continent is made up of equal parts inhabitable desert and lush rainforest, divided by the largest mountain range in the world. The Land of Silent Earth is the second smallest continent, and a source of nutrient-rich soil and healthy cattle, the only thing that makes it less than liked is because water seems to be very hard to find. The smallest of the four, the Island of Forgotten Wind, is little-known and said to be shrouded in eternal fog, it is called home by equally strange flora and fauna.

With the land thus divided in ways all four saw fit, they all gave up a small fragment of their divine spark, foming them into four artifacts, before leaving this plane for their own domains. It has been told that so long as these four artifacts were kept in their hidden shrines, would the earth continue to bear fruit, the wind would keep blowing, fire would keep giving it's comforting warmth, and the water would continue to nourish life and offer it's fish.

"The three of you have been working together for some time now, doing what adventurers do in most parts of the Waterveil Continent. Some time ago you had been sent for by a king, who had learned of your exploits. You thus arrive by ship into the harbor of the coastal city that functions as the kingdoms capital. The winds have been in your favor, and the ship arrived several hours ahead of schedule. You now have some time before your appointment with the king. What do you do?

Group 2: Galathir, MGCorey
Hidden away deep in the mountainrange of the Blazewhisper Continent is an old fortress that is believed to be long abandoned. Lesser undead of all varieties still roam the hallways, but while the fortress itself may very well be abandoned, the maze of chambers and corridors carved into the stone of the very mountain underneath the fortress most certainly aren't. The two of you have been here for some time now, working for an enigmatic being known only as the Phantom Mistress. The Mistress is (assumably) a female, whose origin and goals seem unknown to all, one thing that is certain that her methods are... Questionable at best.

You awakened to a day not unlike any other. After attending to your morning duties, you stp into the barely lit chamber. The room is carved into a perfect half-spherical shape, directly opposite of the door is a massive, yet simple throne carved from the same stone as the rest of the room. On this throne, a figure, covered in dark gray robes that conceal it's features, sits and ponders. Judeged on the movement of the hood that conceals her face, the Mistress lifts her gaze at the two of you, the faint red glow of her eyes the only thing visible from under the hood.

I will look about for somewhere to eat, and perhaps a public bath house. Once that is out of the way, I will seek out a tailor's to find a courtier's outift that fits me well enough to wear to court, preferably along with appropriate jewellry.

Knowing his compainon's preferance to the finner things Lok, tells him, "When you're done gussing up, come find me at one of these dock taverns."

With that he heaves his massive hammer up to his shoulder and begins to walk to the first tavern he can find.

"It is not gussing, it is obtaining appropriate attire!" Gregor yells after Lok, smirking with amusement at his companion
