Gaining the Alertness feat

I'm trying to figure out a few ways to gain the Alertness feat without actually spending one of my precious 3/6/9/etc feat slots.

The only thing that springs to mind is the benefit provided from having a familiar within arms reach, but this isn't what I'm looking for – that is, actually gaining the feat as a bonus.

Anyone know of any sources off-hand?

Being a werehound would do the trick. Or any other lycanthrope where the base animal has the feat you're looking for.

Item familiar feat. you get the alertness feat and get to improve your item without being a spell caster.

Maybe I'm getting a bit too general, but anything that grants you an appropriate bonus feat probably works here.
