641 and 642 are far and away my favorites for this set. Ambiguously gendered or not, Inkyrius certainly showed us that s/he has a pair.

642 by a slim margin.

Nimrod's Son

#643, no question. One of the best payoffs in the whole comic.

Kurald Galain

643 for the line "She's in Greysky city!". I love V's reaction when he first starts to clue in (just a little) that magic is not the solution to everything. Of course, he doesn't fully realize it until Xykon hits it home with a huge friggin' rock...

642, when V realizes that Inkyrius and family would have to be given up to try to finish Xykon.

Chaos rising

#643 it was tough, but I love a good anticlimax.

#644. Not only out of respect, but because Daigo and the "dialogue" between Arneson and the others make me laugh.

Killer Angel

Argh...
641 and 642 show V. descendin geeper in his "damnation".
643 is a great payoff.
644 is heartwarming.

but 645 has Darth Varsuuvius and the deep end of the alignment pool. It won't win, but it's my favourite.

Oh, geez, I like 645, but I gotta go with 643 here.

645 because of the last panel

Very, very hard to choose! But I choose...

#642, for the feeling of almost Greek tragedy.

#645 because it brings the funny. As mentioned above, "Darth Vaarsuvius" and the deep end of the alignment pool (plus helpless evil V being hugged) put it a bit above the rest, in my opinion.

It's a close call between 643 and 644, but I'm going to have to go with 643, partly because it furthered the plot, but mostly because it's hilarious.

You will find an abundance of edible vegetation and several unoccupied fortifications. This was the site of an elven settlement for many centuries until budget cuts forced my people to withdraw from it. My parents took me camping here once. I loathed it.
Ahh, V, even when you're an evil elf literally being guided by three villainous resurrected spirits, you still bring laughter to our hearts.

Technically it was only 2 villainous spirits at that point.:smalltongue:

Anyway, 643.

642. With 645 as a close second (the inner voices were really hilarious in that one).

645 is my favourite out of this selection of not too strong entries.

642 is great, but I'm tired of voting only for the dramatic strips, so I'll go for 645. Belkar, again, is comedy gold.

642 has the greatest impact it seems, and I like the almost resigned feeling V seems to have.

I gotta go with 644 because I grew up in the 70s and I still think in "D&D" (even before AD&D). And because I'm a sentimentalist.

Please guys, can you bold your votes? This makes counting it later easier on Nazzo.

None of these particularly stand out as super charged to me, it comes to a toss up between 642 and 645.

But in the end I vote for 645

The dialog is just great

At first I was torn between 641 and 644. But arguments in 642's favor have convinced me.

And we get another strip shut out - and this time we barely make it to the second page. Hmm.

The pity votes for 644 may have helped keep it from being shut out, as 642, 643 and 645 battle for the win and crowd 641 and 644 out; I'm a little bit surprised at the strength of 645, which almost took the win and finished ahead of 643.

The next batch of strips features the reunion of the OOTS and their departure to near the Western Continent. For the reunion of the OOTS alone, 646 has to be considered the favorite; the embrace between Haley and Elan is the icing on the cake.

647 features character development for Elan, but it might be the runt. 648 has Belkar being Belkar and the start of the "morally justified" threads, but my guess is it'll place fourth. I personally don't like 649, but most of the humor crowd loves it, so it could place top three, though 648 could challenge it.

But the strip most likely to challenge 646 for the win is 650 and V's ominous departure to take on Xykon, which sets up the entire next batch of strips. My guess is that 646 and 650 will battle for the win, with 648 and 649 scrambling for the scraps.
