Hi! I started reading OotS a couple months ago and thought it would be fun to make drawings for my group. I figured why not get some advice on how to improve. Here are a couple I've done so far.

The elf ardent Taeloralis.

Maku the human monk.

One of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy just for fun.

hope that I got all those tags right
I've only worked with paint so far so any suggestions on better programs are welcome.

To be honest, those are really impressive as is. As far as my suggestions go, I use Inkscape to make my OOTS avatars. It's good for making really crisp, clean figures (for instance, I can see the slightly jagged, pixelly outlines on your figures) and for its ability to let you swap around parts to make different versions of the same character quickly and easily, and there's a good tutorial for it here. (http://www.trazoi.net/tutorials/inkscape/oots/) It's free software, so you can try it out pretty easily if you want to.

Thanks  and I'll look into inkscape.

I agree with Rainy Knight. Your work seems to be on a par with the average avatarist artist/ ponytar maker/ fan art contributor on these boards. You ought to be able to find a market for it somewhere on these forums.

Inkscape is probably the most widely used programme in this neck of the woods though, yeah.
